Here are the bottom-line spoilers:

Mr. B is an assistant director for a prank show, carrying the bag with the "bloody" knife and Mr. C is a mangaka, carrying the bag with the model guns. Mr. A was the one carrying the bag of money. However, after being let go, Mr. A meets with an old man on a bench, smirking and saying he tricked Kogorō. But once he hands over the money and catches a taxi, he's cornered by Shinichi/Conan, Ran, Kogorō and Eri—Mr. A is no attorney, and just pretended to be one to steal another old man's savings. Under pressure from Ran, Mr. A gives up the location of his collaborators and they are all arrested as well.

Afterwards, Eri and Ran press Kogorō for who he's been meeting with, thinking he's having an affair, only for the woman Kogorō is meeting with to be none other than Midori, who was giving him help on picking presents for both Ran and Eri—an embarrassed Kogorō flees the scene in a trail of smoke.

 

Earlier, before Shinichi/Conan, Ran and Eri started following Kogorō, Eri explains that her irritated mood is because one of her old friends visited her at the legal office and thought she and Kogorō weren't separated anymore after hearing what she thought was a baby's cry from another room—this "baby cry" was actually a female cat in mating heat, and Eri comments that the two sounds can easily be mistaken for one another. Eri then comments that the separation with Kogoro should've been a taste of good "medicine", causing Shinichi/Conan to suddenly remember Suguru Itakura, Tequila, the woman who spoke with Itakura—Vermouth—and the words both she and Shiho/Ai used... "going against the flow of time."

 

And here are some thoughts of mine:

The scene of Eri explaining that a female cat in mating heat can be mistaken for a baby's cry... considering that one of Itakura's calls with Vermouth ended with what he thought was a cat in the background... and considering what the consensus seems to be about the old woman pushing a stroller near Poirot from File 1,126 (who also has a cat allergy)...

Between this and the Movie 26 details—Rum needing to have to search for "that person", Vermouth's ginko leaf—it wouldn't be a stretch to think Goshō's really laying on the groundwork for Karasuma/Vermouth/APTX revelations.
