Yes. I get that feeling ^ In fact, today was the second time I had this sort of 'luck'. The first time, there was a rock paper scissors tournament. I wanted to lose quickly (to avoid embarrassment)- but ended up winning the entire tournament :V Today... I wanted an Alto or Soprano 2 part... but I got a Soprano part. I wanted the alto part because I thought that it would fit with my vocal range better... but I ended up hitting one of the highest notes and being sorted into a high Soprano... :V
