    Speaking of yone, 

    I re-read the cases where she appears. I don't know if it's just me but it feels like rum has taken her place. It took her a few seconds to remember chiba.:huh: Maybe I'm just picking at anything trivial and stupid.Though a BO member to be asked to behave like her is a bit funny. :lol:   

     

    If RUM is in a disguise - 
    Vermouth picked araide as her target probably because she didn't want to squeak or scream  ^_^ But also coz she wanted haibara. RUM should be nearby or wherever his mission is. Good disguises like housekeepers, doctors,maybe even bartenders, police (doesnt seem like anyone is OOC .. at least Takagi and co) and someone who is probably single, living alone who wont be noticed much if they act odd, but get to interact with the target or the target's friends.

    I posted this in another topic since it would be useful to find who the boss was. But they I saw this topic. So I'm posting again, part of the other post and adding more. ^_^  

    As far as his relationship with vermouth is considered, now I'm just shooting in the dark :ph34r:

    Judging by vermouth's loyalty for the BO boss ran and shinichi (though she may twist their words to do her bidding, like going after haibara indirectly - seems like there is real good reason) it could be that she the boss's mother, sister, daughter, wife - as being his friend or lover is not that shocking or a reason to be kept a secret. Her reluctance to let haibara live and hatred for the drug seems the same as her secret relation with the boss. Also divulging a bit, usually a woman - especially an actress, would never resent the fact that she has stopped aging unless it had huge repurcussions - like losing her beloved, family or child or all of them. She now seems like someone who wants the nightmare to end and trusting shinichi as the silver bullet that will destroy BO. I dont know if she wishes the boss's death or just his defeat. Maybe she trusts shinichi is because he wont let anyone die. unlike shuichi akai who would snipe the boss if he knew who he was ? So would that mean she wants the boss to be spared but stopped? And she probably thinks shinichi is the only one who could do that like he did to her. :rolleyes: 

    Also, the boss has some sort of connection or understanding that vermouth won't betray him even if she strays. That speaks something about their relationship. And the reason for vermouth being so loyal is same as she is for shinichi or ran. so it's possible she considers/considered the boss as her ray of hope(like her own child)/saviour(sister,parent - adoptive or half or step)/benefactor(sister,parent - real, adoptive, half or step).And bourbon probably deduced it, meaning - shinichi can too and thus find who's the boss.  :huh:

    Now if I existed in the dc world, I could look more into vermouth and people around her before her debut or accidents of some kind and figure out who the boss is. Of course, that would be the last thing I do because gin would kill me or maybe vermouth herself like she did with jodie's family  <_< . But, atleast I would know the boss's identity before I die.  :rolleyes:

    Here's what I think (fyi, when I say he I dont mean to imply that he's a guy but rather being lazy and not wanting to type he/she everywhere)
    Since its said that boss's name has appeared,  I support the theory that it could be one of the guest books name -
     

    daikoku ooguru something

    And/Or possibly a building name, brand -

    like the fusae brand in the recent chapters - not saying that fusae campbell is -_-   

     

    I tried rereading the series, keeping an eye on any other characters with BO characteristics, eye twitchers or alcohol drinkers, brands, celeb names. But after a couple of chapters I got engrossed in the story that I forgot to keep track of that and dozens of chapters have gone by.  <_<

    Also about haibara being surprised - 

    It's said that if the real name of the organization could lead to the boss's identity. And some say that haibara might know the real name. If she does, the question is, why would the boss's identity shock her? I believe she is smart enough to deduce it. It could be that the relation between the real name and BO identity is -
    1. something which is shinichi level smartness or even more - yusaku level - though judging how gosho said it doesnt seem likely
    2. Its something that detective conan world doesnt know of, that the real world would related to it.. .wonder what that could be :wacko: I did see once that the JFA logo is a three legged raven/crow - just in case if it could be relevant. Though I find the ooguru daikoku one earlier more interesting and possible.
    3. or she doesnt know the BO real name - unlike what many people believe.

    I would appreciate any extentions, critics. Afterall, once we eliminate the impossible, whatever remains, no matter how improbable, must be the truth.

    About RUM's appearance-

    Many of us have read and reread this series and yet have failed to prove RUM's identity (Gosho stated that he appeared, assuming manga not non canon). So Is it possible that RUM has been introduced as a really minor background character (with hardly any lines probably relating to eyes, rum, ) OR in some sort of disguise like Araide? (Yes I know vermouth was introduced before that, just speculating). I wonder if any character was OOC(like sudden strength, strong persona, smartness, interest in historical events known) ?! :huh: Also there was a recent case of scattered witness, which seems to be applicable to RUM's varied descriptions. So maybe RUM actually is a long haired/lean/or actually a woman, very strong and kinda talks like old people/is old/really smart



    About his mission - 

    Also, Shu asked sonoka and ran if they had seen anyone going by asaca and very strong - wouldnt that be mary (that sister from another domain). I'm not saying asaca here is rum, just speculating and exploring other options. kohji haneda could have meant anything. ASACA could be this sister sera has and maybe she had to talk or was given that drug? She's strong enough to be a bodyguard assuming she is in the same boat as shiho/haibara and shinichi/conan. And maybe she is being pursued by RUM, who wants to finish off his leftover business from 17 years. But then again ASACA was black haired, in the photo atleast.-_-
    Sera and mary talk about some plan and involving conan/shinichi:ph34r: maybe they are being pursued by RUM.
    Haibara introduced as target of vermouth and other BO members. So maybe sera and mary situation is similar. :wacko:

     

    PS: (another thought)

    His mission could also be to investigate mouri kogorou or some other BO member itself. And about appearance - also could be some regular or reccurring character - out of the blue (I hope its not) as shinichi is usually right about whom to trust ^_^  :mellow:
