Yuji Yamawaki (山脇 雄二 Yamawaki Yūji?) is a character in the anime franchise Detective Conan.

Background

Yuji Yamawaki was hired by Nobuo Kadokura for an illegal job which consisted of bombing the police parade that was scheduled to happen at the Beika Farmers' market. On the day they planned to kill Inspector Megure, whom Kadokura resented, their plan was foiled by detectives Takagi and Sato, who got a hint from a question the Detective Boys asked them. Yamawaki is now under custody and will most likely go to prison. His crime isn't grave enough for him to be sentenced to death tough.

Personality

Yamawaki is a rather impatient person and isn't much intelligent. He is still able to pretend not to know that he was followed by Genta.

Appearance and abilities

Yamawaki is an average height man with long loose black hair. He is quite well-built and has a beard. He also has fighting skills and knowledge in bombs and explosives.

Plot overview

Intrigue at the Food Court (Anime: 936)

While the Detective Boys planned to go to a food court, they hear a conversation from Kadokura, Yamawaki and the third accomplice, Kaori Kanno, which was about the bomb not arriving. Sensing something suspicious, they separated to follow each of the three, Genta following Yamawaki. When they bring the kids back to the food court, they are able to fool them into thinking they're just normal restaurant workers, but the Detective Boys report what they've heard to Sato and Takagi, who were patrolling for suspicious people. They get a hint towards the culprits, and, as the three were setting the bombs, the police stormed in their food truck and arrested them.
