The culprit is Ichiro Tamaki. His intentions wasn't to kill his father but only destroy the old bookstore that Yujiro wanted not closed. The father and son reconcile and together they open a book café.

Trivia

• The ambulance with license plate number 新宿 800, ひ 47-62 (Shinjuku 800, Hi 47-62) reappears in Conan Disappeared on the Cliff, but this time there is a mistake with 神奈川, instead 新宿.
