+ | <spoiler>After a further investigation Conan stuns Kogoro and says that when the vase fell, Hanaoka was already dead. The culprit knew of their plan and used it to his own advantage. For their plan to succeed, Hanaoka must sit at the exact spot. That's why the real culprit chose a more reliable method. He approached Hanaoka from behind and, using the frozen sea bream hit him on the head. After the culprit killed Hanaoka, he rushed to return the sea bream to the refrigerator and removed the gloves, this is because the murderer had to go somewhere as fast as possible more specifically, to where Ran and Conan were, the video shop and declares the real culprit to be '''Saki Yoshizawa'''. The gloves wore by Yoshizawa has a red lipstick stain on the tip of a finger and its the same color as Saki worn yesterday. Since she was in a rush to get back, she wanted to removed the gloves as fast as possible. | ||

At first it looks like the construction made a vase fall over and hit him on the head, killing the owner, however, the construction wasn't happening at the estimated time of death. Could this be more than just an accident?
