Professor Agasa has recently posted a video on a popular website relating to cats, asking for someone to evaluate an old vase he found in his attic, along with an equally old carpet. On the particular day the case occurs, Agasa has invited the Detective Boys to a curry supper. Returning from a shopping trip, Genta and Mitsuhiko encounter Sera, who asks them a couple of detail questions about Agasa, Ai Haibara and the recent hostage case at the Mouri Detective Agency. But unbeknownest to them, Agasa's house is being eyed by a duo of sinister-minded individuals.
