* ''[[Wikipedia: Kanjinchō|Kanjinchō]]'' is a Japanese kabuki play, refering to the subscription list that is displayed in Buddhist temples, in which you can sign up for certain concerns. General Yoshitsune and his warrior monk servant, Benkei, roamed the country fraudulently collecting donations by posing as priests. This succeeded until Yoshitsune was in danger of being exposed by some guards. Benkei then beated Yoshitsune, even though he was well below him in the ranking. But since Benkei saved his life, Yoshitsune was very grateful to him. However, Benkei showed remorse. The parallel is Heiji, who is beaten by his father so he doesn't put himself in danger, and Heizo later also saved his life in the warehouse. However, Heiji is not understanding like Yoshitsune, but more stupid than him. Indeed, about the Ataka checkpoint as the culprit's gang in their hideout from [[Crossroad in the Ancient Capital|movie 7]], he is just like Benkei, while Shinichi/Conan is Yoshitsune.

    Continuity

    • In this case, Heiji showed Kazuha the scar that she gave him on Bikuni Island, which is referring to And Then There Were No Mermaids case, when she stabbed his hand to try and make him let go of her so that he will not die too, when he was hanging onto a tree branch over a cliff.
    • When Kazuha asked Heiji if he still has his lucky charm, it is referring to the amulet that he placed around Conan's neck in The Naniwa Serial Murder Case which saved his life, when Conan was almost stabbed, and at that time, Hattori has been having nightmares where Kudo got killed, so he gave him the amulet to protect him.
    • In The Night Before the Wedding Locked Room Case, the amulet had been stated to be back in Heiji's possession again.
