<spoiler>The culprit is '''Minoru Furuhashi'''. He used the projector to make his alibi. First, he asked Yuriko to buy tea for him so she won't be there at the time of the murder. Then, he adjusted the air conditioner so the corpse will move. After that, he starts the mirror illusion. He used mirrors so the light coming from the left window, which where he will hang the victim, will transfer to the right window. In this way, he can hang the corpse and play the movie from the other window. Moreover, he wouldn't need to cut the film and be in the projection room while the shadow appears. After setting that mirror illusion, he went down, killed Seiji, and hanged him in front of the left window while the movie is playing from the other window. Then, he went back to the projection room and removed the mirrors so the light will flash through the left window and since the corpse is blocking the window, a shadow of it will be casted on the theater screen. That way, even when the shadow appeared, he and Yuriko would be in the same room together and becomes his alibi. The evidence is in the camera of Toshiyuki. Toshiyuki captured the scene in which the shadow appeared. From there, they realized that the focus is wrong. That's because when Minoru move the mirror back to the original window, the reflections will cause the blur of the scene. All theater's projection machines fit the screen perfectly. Since they are supposed to fit the screen, it takes a lot of time for him to fix the focus and make it perfect in both way, but no matter how hard he tried, there's no way for it happen. He wasn't able to avoid the shaky part either. Yuriko went to the bathroom because there weren't any mirror piece in the projection room.
After continuing the investigation, Conan finds out the clue to this murder is the mirrors. The culprit is Minoru Furuhashi. After solving the case, Furuhashi is taken away. Before he leaves asks to finish the final screening of the theatre for the Detective Boys. In the end, the director decides not to sell the theatre, as the children reminded him the magic of theatres.
