Situation

Conan, Haibara, and the Detective Boys are watching birds, but Conan proposes another game to them called "human watching". While teaching the Detective Boys how the game works, trying to determine people's jobs and occupations by watching them, they stumble upon detectives Takagi and Chiba apparently on a stakeout.

The kidnapper is revealed to be the reading man. He tried to escape by reversing the jacket, so Chiba wouldn't be able to recognize him as per Conan instructions, but Conan remembered the branded shoes. Using that hint, Chiba caught the culprit.

Aftermath

In the end, the Detective Boys are watching people on top of the Mouri Detective Agency. Conan comments that the old man should do his job, as he sees Kogoro sleeping.
