One night, after their restaurant dinner, Kogoro, Ran, and Conan hear a woman scream and then rush to her rescue. They arrived at the scene and find the corpse of a fallen man.

The real culprit is Misaki Takizawa. Originally, she and Takeshi Yaginuma were partners in crime with Misaki marrying Akira Takizawa in order for Yaginuma to murder the man and allowing her to obtain his fortune which they were supposed to divide after their plan succeeded. However, Misaki decided to betray Yaginuma and claim the money for herself. She called Yaginuma to the stairway in the parking lot, sprayed his eyes with insecticide, and pushed him off the building.

Trivia

• Misaki Takizawa appears to be an expy of Fujiko Mine from Lupin III, then a femme fatale. In addition, when Conan is on her car, the background music is one from Lupin III.
• The woman car drive is a 2014 Red Chevrolet Corvette Stingray C7 Convertible. The license plate number is 新宿 332, た 33-83 (Shinjuku 332, Ta 33-83).
