Afterwards, Mouri tries to ask Eri to return home with him, since it has been a year after their divorce. Eri pretends not to hear and later at home, listens again to the recording of Mouri's plead for her return.

Suspecting the victim's boyfriend to be the murderer, they go to the his house and discover the victim's boyfriend poisoned. Beside him is a letter that reads: "I'm going to meet Mifuyu". Can Conan find out who did it?

The kidnappers managed to enter Eri's office and using a stun-gun they were able to capture Eri. The kidnappers took her to an abandoned building where they were setting things up for making an embarrassing video of Eri. She managed to escape from their clutches and hid inside the same building and tried to contact Ran. Using the information obtained from Eri, Conan and the others try to find Eri's location.

Conan is positive Yoshikazu killed Masao's sister just by the smirk he has on his face. The Detective Boys ask a witness who heard digging noises from Yoshikazu's yard on the day Masao's sister went missing to find the witness made a mistake and the noise was actually coming from the construction site next door. Conan calls the police and puts on a show telling his deduction. Conan points out the body is under a growing flower which sprouted from the victim received as a gift on the day she went missing.

Things go bad when the host is put to sleep and put in a car which drives off a cliff, killing him. A member found out who did it, but she got killed when she was in another car that burst into flames. Heiji then got very suspicious of Conan's true identity as Shinichi, but when he tries to confront Conan, a blackout occurs and another member is injured by the killer, with a knife to the back. Who did this?

Conan and Heiji was able to solve the case, and fearing of his identity, Conan use Heiji instead of Kogoro to solve the case. The killer turned out to be the boyfriend of the second victim, and she was able to find out he did it because she decided to cheat off his Holmes test, but when she saw his test, it was blank, because he knew it would never be graded and he was busy preparing for the killing of the host. The killer did it because the third victim was the publisher of a Holmes book he didn't like, so he did this for Holmes. And after Heiji woke up, he reveals that he was spying on Conan the whole time during the deduction, so he now knows the truth about Conan, and he spills the beans. Heiji figures out that Conan is Shinichi.

Heiji wants to beat Okita in a kendo tournament, to confess his love for Kazuha afterwards. Okita flirts with Ran, making Conan jealous. Ran is reminded of Shinichi by Okita's look, flustering her. Momiji plans a suprise victory party for Heiji. Heiji is competing in this tournament

The culprit explains how it was for revenge for putting the person's loved one in such a great debt.

The group is allowed to soak in the hot spring near the house, but they are called to the house when they find out the old man has been murdered. The old man's son confesses that he's the murderer, but Conan proves that he's not. Using Kogoro, Conan announces the old man's brother to be the killer who set up a spring loaded crossbow and fired it at the same time as the son.

Conan finds out the man is an artist who's been missing for a year. His wife is the only one who can identify the body but she proclaims it's not him. Conan proves that the man was the artist by fingerprints he left behind when he came home after regaining his memories. Conan shows them who the murderer was.

Rumi has scars over much of her body.     We learn Rumi has access to the Black Organization's APTX-4869 victims list.

Yusaku learns that the words Rum and Asaca should be form the word in one word "Carasuma". He reveals that the boss is named Renya Karasuma.     Rum issues Tooru Amuro (Bourbon) an order to collect info on Shinichi Kudo.

Shukichi Haneda is at Tokiwa Hot Springs, preparing for his shogi match for the title of Meijin. As he was talking to two women, a picture of Yumi Miyamoto fell out of his robe. When he picked up the photo, he thought back to two days ago, when Yumi told him she already through away the envelope he asked her to not open until he obtains all seven because he never called her ever since he gave it to her. After that small conversation, she stormed out of the cafe, where they were talking; when he came out, she was nowhere to be seen. As he tries to find her, a stranger watches him in a car, carrying an evil smile. Chikara Katsumata is introduced.

Conan, Shukichi, Professor Agasa, Haibara, and the Detective Boys arrive at Yureizaka and are heading towards a graveyard in the middle of that slope. The "seven" and "three" on the incense chariot piece refer to Kiyomasa's Seven Spears and the Three Great Spears of Japan. The overlapping region between the two spears represents Masanori Fukushima, a person of the Seven Spears who owns Hinomotogo, one of the Three Great Spears. The upside-down T is the cartographic symbol for graveyards. When asked by Professor Agasa who the kidnapper may be, Shukichi thinks back to a shogi match he played against the very same culprit. That incident was the culprit's motive for kidnapping Yumi. Shukichi is revealed to be a sharp-minded person. Shukichi wins the Meijin title (the remaining of the seven shogi titles that he didn't posses). Sera invites Conan to her hotel room to talk with him. Yumi kisses Shukichi.

At 6:00 AM in morning time, Takagi had breakfast at Janothon's and begins to go jogging for exercising. While jogging, he met the part-timer named Hideko Sasamoto and says good morning to her. When he went ahead of her, Takagi found the bag and when he opens it, he found thirty million yen inside. Sasamoto thinks Takagi is a burglar but he tells her it's not what it looks like. At the police station, the officer confirms it's thirty million yen and it hasn't been reported about the lost and found items. When Sasamoto learns that Takagi is a police detective, she started apologizing to him for thinking that Takagi's a burglar.

Conan,Ai,Professor Agasa and the Detective Boys are invited for barbecue by a couple they met on a camping trip when all of a sudden Ayumi witnesses the wife trying to stab the husband but then the wife somehow ends up getting stabbed while her husband is sitting traumatized right next to her. Everything seems to be going too well it seems too contrived,is there all to this incident?But after reading some mails in the wife's cellphone circumstances get even more strange. Masumi Sera sees Scar Akai near Mouri's Detective Agency and tries to chase him, but he hides, meaning Masumi knows Akai. 2)Ai Haibara remembers Subaru Okiya and thinks about how he reminds her of her sister's boyfriend, Dai Moroboshi.   It is implied that Shinichi/Conan and Masumi have met before.

But a simple investigation in a bar becomes more dramatic when Chikafumi Usuda, an office worker, is found dead. In this episode, Kogoro tries to investigate who is always solving the case while he asleep.

Thinking that Kenya will make a move upon seeing Ran, Masumi has Conan and Ran approach the couple upon the pretense of needing a meal. However, Kenya doesn't seem to be interested in Ran and asks Ran to accompany Rumi to wake Waka, Kenya's ex-girlfriend. Rumi and Ran has to open Waka's apartment with a key when no one answers. Later, Ran finds Waka on the bathroom floor, but she collapses herself due to chlorofoam in the air. Conan has a bad feeling that Black Organization will attack him or Haibara now. Bourbon stalks Conan as he makes a phone call to Haibara.
