The apprentice Yoshio Komiyama it's revealed as the second victim's brother, Yoshio Nogami, and he tries to murder Kasuga for attacking his sister.

Fortunately, Kogoro and Conan arrive in time to stop him. Conan tranquilizes Kogoro to start the deduction of this case. First, Komiyama believed that the attacks were executed by Kasuga because it happened near the house in deserted locations, so that means he probably was following the victims, and also that he deduced that the culprit was someone from the studio. Kogoro says that his affirmations are correct but the culprit isn't Kasuga, but the assistant Riko Rokui.

The main proofs were the sound the second victim heared before being attacked, that sounded like a clattering sound of a sketching pencil, that she probably carries all the time, and also there's a scratch at the staircase poles the first victim was pushed, so that means she grabbed from the pole to the victim and the scratch was made with Riko's wristwatch. He also says that the wristwatch seems so new, so it probably was repared after the damage in a hurry. She confesses that she did the attacks because she hated the models. She was a fan of Kasuga and he asked to be his assistant, but the happiness of being the assistant was ruined when he scouted new models. She finally prepares to kill Ran but she stop it with a karate kick. Ran also reveals that Kasuga told her that she will be his last model because he will like to return to work with Riko. She fnally breaks in tears. Ran finally works at the karate mascot of a shop, that also fits with her.
