Kanako Baba (馬場 可奈子 Baba Kanako) is a Japanese animator. She does key animation and assistant animation director works in Detective Conan anime. She was formerly affiliated with Studio Wanpack, now a freelance animator.
Works in Detective Conan
Baba joined the production of the Detective Conan anime in 2012, starting with the 1st part of Detectives' Nocturne. After doing 17 episodes of key animation for the anime, she began to serve as assistant animation director in 2018, strating with the 1st part of Kaitou Kid and the Trick Box.
Baba stopped being an assistant animation director in the same year, due to the disbandment of Studio Wanpack, in other words, the 2nd part of The Tokyo-Style Detective Show Next Door was Studio Wanpack's last involvement in the Detective Conan anime, and was also Baba's most recent participation in the Detective Conan anime.
