Hanzawa-san (犯沢さん Hanzawa-san) is the main protagonist in the manga series Hanzawa the Criminal.

Background
Hanzawa-san is a country bumpkin who moved to Beika city to find the guy he has a grudge on and wants to murder. He moved there since it is the city with the highest crime rate in the world, and it suits him best. It was also stated in Chapter 1 that Beika is the crime city of his dreams.
Personality
He is unknowledgeable in how to live in a city and sometimes relies on his mom. Whenever someone annoys him, he imagines situations where he is murdering them. However, he restrains himself from doing so since it'd be problematic to do 'unnecessary' murders that would attract the police's attention. Despite wanting to murder people, he finds it scary living in a place where actual crimes took place. He also doesn't like hearing explanations of what happened on a stigmatized property.

Relationships analysis
Conan Edogawa
Conan is usually seen following Hanzawa-san whenever he bumps into him. This is because he finds Hanzawa-san suspicious and is sometimes accompanied by Hattori Heiji. Hanzawa-san doesn't seem to realize he's constantly being followed, due to him being lost in thoughts.
Ran Mouri
Due to constantly encountering many cases and criminals, Ran finds Hanzawa-san as nothing out of the ordinary instead of suspicious. However, Hanzawa-san finds her the opposite. He fears her ever since their encounter in Chapter 6, where Ran uses her karate skills to beat up bad guys who cornered her when she wanted to take her drunk father home.
Hiroshi Agasa
Hanzawa-san first met Prof. Agasa in Chapter 4 while waiting at a police station. Same with other characters, Prof. Agasa is usually accompanied by Ai Haibara. Hanzawa-san thinks he is a mad scientist and has a serious criminal history due to him saying it's spring when he saw an explosion, 'experimenting on him', etc.
Sonoko Suzuki
Sonoko was the first 'target' of Hanzawa-san ever since he entered Beika city. This is due to Sonoko laughing at him when he inserted a ticket that is supposed to touch the panel at Beika's train station's barrier. Fortunately, Sonoko didn't become a victim of him since he doesn't want to murder her over something trivial as that.
Kaito Kuroba/Kaitou Kid
In Chapter 13, it was revealed that Kaito is the person that Hanzawa-san has a grudge on and wants to murder. Kaito is sometimes seen with his childhood friend, Aoko Nakamori and his alter ego's assistant, Konosuke Jii. Hanzawa-san seems to call him "That guy" and "That man" without any specific name. When he met Kaitou Kid, he notices he is the spitting image of Kaito Kuroba.
