The Gomera (ゴメラ ) franchise is a collection of movies centered around a giant monster named Gomera. Its real-life counterpart is the Gamera & Godzilla movie franchises. Conan mentions that he watched this series "to death" when he was younger.

The actress Saya Kitami played a role in one of the movies and her character had all of her blood sucked out by an enemy monster (ch918).

"Gomera's Last Fight" is a film produced and released in the current year. It was originally supposed to feature the death of Gomera and be the final production, but due to the lead suit actor murdering the producer, the death scene was cut and pieces of existing films were edited together to make the ending.

The name origin is the Godzilla & Gamera movie franchises, or ゴジラ and ガメラ. The first katakana of Godzilla's japanese name (Gojira) and the last two katakana of Gamera to create Gomera (ゴメラ).
