Horita[1] (堀田 Horita?) is a character in the manga and anime franchise Detective Conan.

Background

Horita is a detective from the Tokyo MPD, Division One Investigations, Section Three. He loves Sato and is then jealous of Takagi, often attempting to interrupt their dates along with several other officers. He has great respect for Matsumoto and follows his orders.

He meets Conan in several cases and his great deduction impressed him only during Takagi's kidnapping, but of course Conan leaves all credit to Shinichi or Agasa.[2]

Often, when a huge case is closed, he likes to go drinking along with other officers that same night.[3] He ate Azusa's special pasta when came to Café Poirot on their stakeout, and said it was really delicious, so he's been coming here a lot recently.[4]
