A weekend that begins with what Conan believes to be a childish game quickly turns deadly. Lost in the wild, miles from civilization with two suspicious looking men sneaking around, how's the gang going to get themselves out of this mess? Get ready for a treasure hunt where Conan and the kids find more than they bargain for.

After knocking out the two suspicious jewel thieves with the supposed treasure, a duffel bag full of jewels, Conan and the rest of the group open up the treasure chest. The real treasure is revealed to be a letter from the past, written by Yusaku Kudo in 1978. In the letter, it explains how the experiences they gained during and the memories they have of the journey will become the priceless treasure that they will never forget in their lifetimes. Ten years ago, one of Yusaku's manuscripts was stolen, and it was shown at the end, addressed to "My Son, Shinichi".
