Yuya Horiuchi was originally a production advancement working for animation studio [[wikipedia:Silver Link|Silver Link]] {{jp|シルバーリンク}}. During this period of time, he used several alias to work on animation works outside of this studio's scope.

Under the alias "堀内バロン", Horiuchi was involved in the ''Detective Conan'' anime production in 2019, in which he did the episode direction for two anime episodes.
