Shingu joined the production of the ''Detective Conan'' anime in 2011, starting with the 1st part of [[Solving Mysteries at the Red Leaf Palace]]. He quit the production of the anime in 2017, after the 1st part of [[The Marriage Registration's Password]]. In 2021, he returned and did two episodes of key animation. All of his contributions in the ''Detective Conan'' anime are key animation.

In terms of the ''Detective Conan'' movies, he was served as assistant animation director in movie 26 for the first time.
