Sakiyama joined the production of the ''Detective Conan'' in 1996, starting with the first TV original [[Valentine Murder Case]]. And was responsible for key animation work regularly. Sakiyama quit the production of the ''Detective Conan'' anime in 2003, after finishing the key animation work for [[The Trembling Police Headquarters: 12 Million Hostages]].
