+<spoiler>The murder of Takehiko was committed by '''Manabu Anzai''', whose real name is later revealed to be '''Chiezo Negura''' in a newspaper, who coerced Shoichiro into an exchange murder. The plan was for Shoichiro to call Kanako's outside to create an alibi for himself after he murdered Minamizato, while Anzai used Takehiko's house key received from Shoichiro to enter the house and kill him. Afterwards, he broke the window in the study to conceal the crime as a robbery. However, Shoichiro relented and failed in his part which forced him to carry out the act himself. His motive is to silence Minamizato before his gold digger history is exposed.
