Mona takes the Detective Boys on her car so they can stop the man before he can foil today's rocket launch. Mona's car gets stuck in traffic, so Conan gets out and is picked up by Heiji, who came with his motorcycle. They deduce that the boat is likely hidden in the cove and as expected, the boat escapes through an underground dock built in the cliffs of Hanegashima. Meanwhile, JAKTA successfully launches the rocket, but the man tries to destroy it with a pulsar gun. Heiji propels Conan in the air and he uses his kick shoes and soccer ball to send a huge wave, which knocks over the man from the boat. He is later arrested by the Kagoshima police is revealed to have been an ex-Star Circle employee.
