Eiko also confessed that she wanted to frame Hayashida, because he was jealous about the two of them and he knew that Motoki and Eiko were secretly dating. As a result he did not tell Motoki about the cliff and how dangerous it was to climb down from a certain area, he knew this but kept this to himself most likely hoping that he would at least hurt himself.</spoiler>
