== Biography ==
Shuhei Sakaguchi graduated from Kinjo High School and became interested in voice acting during his high school years after listening to radio dramas like [https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/青春アドベンチャー Seishun Adventure]. This inspired him to pursue work in voice acting.

In 1997, he graduated from the [https://x.com/taa_school Tokyo Announcement Academy] voice acting course. In 1999, he graduated from [https://x.com/vtacademytfc Visual Techno Academia] and that same year joined [[wikipedia:Mausu Promotion|Mausu Promotion]] (formerly Ezaki Productions)<ref>https://web.archive.org/web/20071212131056/http://www.mausu.net/talent/tpdb_view.cgi?UID=105</ref>. After some time as a freelancer, he was affiliated with former voice acting agency [https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/ディーカラー D-Color] from October 2008 until the end of 2013. Since January 2014, he has been with the talent agency Aksent.

==His advice to rookie voice actors==
When asked to give advice to students studying voice acting, Shuhei Sakaguchi said if someone asked him about becoming a voice actor, he’d probably tell them not to. Not because he hates it, but because it's a tough path. When he started, there were times he couldn’t even afford food or a bath. So if you’re looking for an easy, stable life, this job isn’t it.
But if you still want to do it, you need to be serious. Getting into an agency isn’t that hard, it takes some luck and basic talent. The hard part is staying in the industry. You have to live like an actor all the time and keep working on yourself, even when you’re not getting offers.
He said this career is full of ups and downs. Just when you think you’ve figured things out, another challenge shows up. But for him, that’s what makes it worth it.
