 At the end of the school trip to Kyoto, [[Ran Mouri]] clears up the misunderstanding about Soshi Okita: her [[Kogoro Mouri|father]] had found his lost talisman and thought that it belonged to Ran. To his own surprise, however, he found a photo of Moroha Kurogane in it. Okita then revealed he's indeed in love with Moroha, but has to defeat his "[[Yaiba Kurogane|greatest rival]]" in a kendo duel before he can confess to her. He also asked of Ran not to tell [[Momiji Ooka]] anything about this.
