Just by looking at some of his deeds, it is quite pronounced that he is a quite arrogant type of person. It is very pround and confident regarding the safes his company makes. For which he even bragged on TV one day: "My safes can only be opened by me! If that upsets you, then come steal me, too!", which was obviously a joke, as well as a small demonstration of his cocksureness towards his products, however, it was precisely that which buried the seed of danger and threat...

== Appearance ==
He looks just like [[Hiroshi Agasa]], by having similar body-builds, similar ages, similar glasses, and even similar clothes. He possesses a peculiar ponytail hairstyle. He wears grey hat and greay suit, lacing with a blue tie. And absurdly, he wears a mask all times, since he was also afraid of the thieves, in case they would really "steal him".

Just like the Mouri family, President Nanjou also went to the French restaurant [[Setting#Déesse du Vent|Déesse du Vent]], and he waited for two years. When he arrived there, he first recognised and greeted [[Sonoko Suzuki]], who was sitting beside the Mouri family. After that, Sonoko also recalled seeing President Nanjou in the gold tournament last year. [[Kogoro Mouri|Kogoro]] also perceived the name of President Nanjou and mentioned the words President Nanjou uttered about "his safes can only be opened by him," which made President Nanjou echo and admit that a lot of threstening letters and kidnapping messages were all over the place, so he had to be cautious these days. He then sighed and complained that he would rather chill and go to a place where more beautiful ladies are present and drink there, which made Kogoro bake up his thoughts. Afterwards, President Nanjou wanted to go to the bathroom, and he did not know that he was utterly being survised by two culprits at the corner of the restaurant.

And the two bodyguards of President Nanjou were therefore wardening in front of the bathroom door. When they were washing their hands, they looked at each other as well as the mirror. Agasa commented that they looked quite alike, and President Nanjou also thought so as well. He then tied up Agasa's hair, making a ponytail just like what he has, and requested that Agasa wear the same mask as his, so they would look similar enough to fool the majority. President Nanjou abruptly thought up a "great idea", that is, to swap clothes with Agasa and impersonate each other, so Agasa would disguise himself and get out first, fooling his bodyguards and diverting them away, so he could sneak out and go somewhere to drink with girls. But in reality, the plan did not work out, because when Agasa walked out of the bathroom, the two bodyguards of President Nanjou's did not think it was the real president, so they igfnore him compeltely, and when he then opened the door of the bathroom, ready to escape, the two bodyguards were still there and negotiated with him; in other words, the plan failed compeltely.

Although the two bodyguards did not get fooled, it really did fool the two culprits who were monitoring President Nanjou, and they mistakenly kidnapped Agasa just as he walked out of the bathroom. President Nanjou was the original target of the abduction because the two culprits had stolen one of President Nanjou's safes the other day, and they needed President Nanjou himself in order to open his safes. That was the motive for tealing him. His safes have an iris recognition mechanism, so they could even have President Nanjou die and still open the safe as long as it is within five hours (the iris will still be scannable after the user's death, but with a maximum stinct of five hours). Therefore, Agasa was on the brink of death. Will Conan be able to save him in the end?
