== Biography ==
After working as production advancement and assistant technical director at [[wikipedia:Shin-Ei Animation|Shin-Ei Animation]] {{jp|シンエイ動画}}, Fumio Maesono became a freelance animator. For some stint of time, he was affiliated with [[wikipedia:ja:ウォルト・ディズニー・ジャパン|The Walt Disney Company Japan Ltd.]] {{jp|ディズニージャパン}}. Maesono used to serve as director for many OVA works produced by The Walt Disney Company, which implies that his works are always involved with overseas' collaborations.

Maesono joined the production of the ''Detective Conan'' anime in 2006, starting with [[The Final "Ahh"|'''Episode 441''': The Final "Ahh"]]; in 2007, after finishing the storyboard work of [[Three Days with Heiji Hattori|'''Episode 479''': Three Days with Heiji Hattori]], Maesono quit the production team and has not returned yet.
