Isogami had purposely ordered two egg dishes, knowing that Kawabata was allergic to eggs and couldn't stand the sight of them. At one point, Isogami went to the restroom and applied cyanide to his own towel before returning to his seat. Earlier when Conan was trying to grab the soy sauce and the chili oil, Isogami would keep turning the turntable to keep the egg dishes in front of him. When the Peking Duck was brought out, he then used the towel to apply the poison ''underneath'' the turntable between where the two egg dishes were. He then moved the turntable so the egg dishes were in front of Kawabata, thus forcing Kawabata to turn the turntable by touching the poisoned underside. The poison got onto Kawabata's hand, and he died after he ate some Peking Duck, as it was a dish that required hands to eat. During the panic that ensued when Kawabata died, Isogami secretly swapped out the poisoned towel with Kawabata's towel after drenching it with soup (Ran had accidentally spilled soup on Kawabata earlier and he had used his towel to wipe it off, so Isogami wanted to make the poisoned towel look similar). Unfortunately for him, Conan points out that Kawabata was wearing jeans, and so Kawabata's real towel had a blue stain on it. However the real proof was when Conan was about to eat a Chinese bun, Isogami stopped him because he knew there was poison on the turntable and didn't want anyone else to die.

	As the ~~investigation goes by, Ran looks more~~ and ~~more ill~~.

	Isogami confesses and reveals Kawabata murdered the actress Rika a year ago, disguising it as a accident. Kawabata knew about the sudden change all along, he was fully aware of the fact the stuntman and Rika were switched for the last action scene, he also said he only did her a favour by acknowledging her wish to do her own scenes with disgusting grin, he also said it was a smash hit because of her death he didn't stop her despite his power and opportunity and reveals a director falls in love with his heroine in the course of filming even if she is not a good actress and not very attractive.
