Akira Tsuchiya joined the production of the ''Detective Conan'' anime in 2006, starting with [[Information Gathered About the Detective Boys|'''Episode 435''': Information Gathered About the Detective Boys (Part 1)]]; in the following year, Tsuchiya quit the production team after serving as storyboardist and episode director for [[Trick vs. Magic|'''Episode 451''': Trick vs. Magic (Part 2)]].

In all episodes that he was involved, entailed [[Yukari Kobayashi]] as the animation director.
