Resolution
<spoiler>
After discussing Tatsuya's disappearance with Shigeko, Conan finally realized what had happened. The Detective Boys gather with the Silver Detectives who are considering disbanding due to their lack of detective abilities when the Detective Boys asks the Silver Detectives' help with getting a confession out of Tadao.

Confronting Tadao, Conan explains that is is strange that after four years, an earnest son like Tatsuya would have absolutely no contact with his parents. Believing that Tadao murdered Tatsuya four years ago, Conan continues by explaining that Tadao could not let his wife know about the fate of their son so Tadao decided to bury his body in the yard. Tadao's horrified reaction to Yasuko notifying him about the discovered skeleton in the yard was likely due to Tadao mistaking the discovered skeleton to be that of his son.

Tadao refutes by explaining that a decomposing body would have an odor that Kazue and the neighbors would have noticed. However, the stench was masked by a house that was full of rubbish that got demolished after the decomposing smell subsided.

Without any concrete evidence, the Silver Detectives attempt to get Tadao to confess to his crimes through compassion as Tadao truly loved his son:
# Tatsuya was buried in the yard instead of further away like in the mountains
# Tadao secretly prayed for Tatsuya everyday for four years

Finally, Yasuke appeals to Tadao to give Tatsuya a proper burial that he deserves. Everyone pressures Tadao to come clean before Tadao explains that Tatsuya attempted suicide four years ago.

The police are called in to dig up Tatsuya's body after Tadao's confession. Before being taken away Tadao shows his appreciation to the Detective Boys and the Silver Detectives for allowing him to put Tatsuya to rest next to Kazue.

The post-credits scene is set in front of Beika station where the Detective Boys discover the Silver Detectives handing out flyers for their detective services. Ayumi, Mitsuhiko, and Genta get angry and start chasing the Silver Detectives around a water fountain because the flyers call the Detective Boys the assistants of the Silver Detectives.
Conan, Ran, Kazuha, and Heiji are on their way to Mount Washio to see the beautiful scenery, with Kogoro tagging along because he is worried about his daughter going on a trip far away (of course, it is definitely not because of the worry Kazuha mentioned). The reason Ran chose this location was because even if Momiji ever wanted to interfere, she would have to climb the mountain to exhaustion like the poor Kogoro, although Momiji mentioned that she had a Karuta tournament in Tokyo but we all know that it was an excuse for her and Iori to go on that Shinkansen. It suddenly starts to rain, forcing the group of five to run to find shelter nearby, and Kogoro happens to see a shrine there.

There, the chief priest Tetsushin happily lets everyone in and asks the two monks, Kentetsu and Tontetsu, to welcome the guests. While Kazuha expresses her regret that the rain interrupts her wish to see the sunset on the mountain, Kentetsu says that the rain will stop by this afternoon. He also adds that the sunset here is also a very famous place, not just Mount Washio, which Kazuha confirms to be true through her tablet. She then suddenly asks Ran about what she is going to say after that dream-like situation happens, to which Ran reveals to Kazuha that she is dating Shinichi, much to Kazuha's delight because she hasn’t heard from the two for a while and worried that something unfortunate had happened.

Kogoro and Heiji suddenly come in without their clothes as they were drenched in the rain all the time before reaching the shrine. Then Tontetsu comes in with their clothes as well, but not with Heiji’s amulet as it disappeared without the monk’s noticing. The other two happen to be passing by and notice the incident, but have no idea where it was as well. Conan suggests asking someone else in the shrine, thinking that there is someone else in the shrine, much to the surprise of the three as to how Conan knew about this. The boy explains that when they borrowed the towel to dry themselves, Conan saw four sets of toothbrushes and toothbrush cups, while in the shrine they had seen three people so far.

The chief priest explains that the other person was a monk who had disappeared 5 days ago after being punished to go to the confessional for smoking. Kentetsu adds in: At the same time that he disappeared, there were a few will-o'-the-wisps going up to the stair leading to that confessional, and that the monk was believed to be captured by the crimson skeleton. The chief priest tells them about the crimson skeleton, a monster that appeared with the said will-o'-the-wisps to devour the souls of wrongdoers and leave behind the empty corpse of the victims.

The scene changes after Kogoro finishes using the restroom and is about to return to the room, when he notices an iron ball falling down from the stairs that seems to come from the aforementioned confession room. But the only thing waiting for him in the room is that someone is about to attack him. After a while, Ran becomes worried because her father has been gone for a long time and hasn’t returned, at the same time a very terrifying scream is heard. When the group goes outside, many will-o'-the-wisps are seen coming up the stairs. Waiting for everyone who enters the room is the body of the missing priest.
While Heiji and Conan are analyzing the scene after the three monks arrive due to the girls' screams, Heiji suddenly finds his amulet; and before leaving the scene and waiting for the police to arrive, Conan notices a piece of wood shaving near the victim's body. Meanwhile, Kogoro wakes up in some strange room being tied but his phone was not taken away, Kogoro has to somehow inform either Ran or Conan about his condition before he ends up with a fate like the missing monk.
Back with Heiji and Conan, the chief priest recounts when is asked by Heiji: A month ago, a tourist had seen will-o'-the-wisps walking on the nearby stone stairs, and had followed out of curiosity, only to discover the burning body of Jun Marata, a Buddhist iconographer who had complained about the temple's Kannon statue, but had not come to talk to the priest as he arranged. The two detectives then begin to discuss the details, including how Heiji found the amulet. Additionally, Conan receives a message about the statues from Kogoro, who is missing, and the truth of the case seems to be about to be solved.
On a Sunday morning, Yusuke Sakon can’t contact his girlfriend Aki Kano while he is on his way there, so he asks the building manager of her apartment Hayashi to help open her room after he knew that the door was closed, only to find out that Kano is dead. The police arrive after and notice that there is a coffee cup containing cyanide and Kogoro’s investigation report nearby, causing him and Conan to arrive at the scene not long after.
Kogoro confirms that 10 days ago, he was hired indirectly by a person named Yamada on behalf of Kano to do the requirement he received the next day to investigate if her boyfriend Yusuke Sakon cheated on her or not, to which pointed out a specific woman named Michiru Kuga. At first, it appears that Kano was so desperate upon knowing this that she committed suicide using the coffee cup containing cyanide, with some evidence even support this:
*The security of where she worked mentioned that she came in yesterday though the place should’ve closed while the head Chemical researcher of that place Tadashi Otsubo reported that the missing amount of cyanide was enough to kill a person.
*Last night, Kano went out to meet her best friend Hiroko Nishida for apparently a farewell
But her search on the phone feels odd as two out of three words are: stalker and manslaughter, so Conan and Kogoro decide to ask some of her accomplices:
*Firstly, Otsubo mentions that Kano was followed by a man wearing sunglasses and masks sometimes. However, the most shocking thing is that she committed suicide before the publication of her most anticipated research results, which is Monday.
*And for Nishida, she immediately asks the two about if it was because of Sakon’s infidelity that caused Kano’s death without answering if she had been told about the stalker from her friend, to which causes Kogoro to wonder about after telling his thoughts. Nishida states that this is unusual as if Kano ever catches him (or any love interest) cheating, she will try to break the affair while in reality, she committed suicide without doing anything else.
Suddenly, Conan reminds Kogoro to inform Kano’s death to the one named Yamada, only for the two to discover through a camera footage nearby that he was in fact, Sakon. So the two arrange a meet up with Megure, Chiba, Takagi, and Sakon to reveal the truth behind.
<spoiler>The one who had been stalking Kano was in fact, Sakon in disguise. And it is revealed that he fooled her into believing that he has caused manslaughter and couldn’t escape the feeling of guilt. It was at that moment when he suggested committed suicide together so their love could sustain in the other world. She #ff0000 and left a note that was later hidden by Sakon and he made it like it was a suicide because of being betrayed.
He admits it and says Kano was a thorn in his eye as she loved him too much, which angers Megure as he yells at him to show some remorse because of his crime. At that same moment, Conan is feeling heavy hearted when suddenly cherry blossoms create a gentle scene, ending the case peacefully.
Situation
Part 1
Whilst the Detective Boys and Agasa were eating, they were simultaneously discussing such topics concerning the hit music bands presently. That was when they contended Tokumi Nagasu, Sumika Kokonoe, and Mao Toya; supposedly the three of them are fans for that band. Under the lead of their friend - the waitress Yasuko Aijima, they absently sat on their respective seats. Thereafter, Ayumi, Genta, and Mitsuhiko, who happened to be inside the restaurant, discovered the presence of Mrs. Kobayashi, Detective Chiba, and Shukichi Haneda. Considering the fact that each had their appropriate matches, every single lover would chill down.
At that time, the Detective Boys have decided to watch the love scenes of each person they met earlier, however when they returned, it was very strange: Kobayashi was eating with Chiba, while Taiko Meijin was eating with Naeko, and Shiratori was eating with Yumi; this shocks Conan while Haibara prepares to investigate and clarify and criticize this Triple Collab. However, before that happened, they notices Tokumi Nagasu suddenly falls off in her chair and seems to have died after eating the cake, this makes the whole group scream, attracting an even greater sky of anger than when the one that the Detective Boys just followed notice the scream.

They are very surprised when they meet each other at first and begin to question their respective match:
*Yumi starts asking Shukichi about Naeko first but before the latter can even defend herself, Shukichi asks about Yumi going out to eat with the broccoli-head, whom Shiratori’s hair looks similar to, which Shiratori didn't care about that much.
*Instead, he asks Kobayashi about Chiba, and before Kobayashi can say anything, Chiba answers quickly because he himself had no motive.
*When it is Chiba's turn to question Shukichi, he panics while Naeko asks Chiba back.
Until Conan interrupts this meaningless fighting so everyone can even focus on the poisoned victim.

Chiba is the one to start asking about the victim but Conan has already gotten the full information about the victim and just told Chiba, much to Naeko's surprise. This was because Agasa's group had divided the task of asking the victim's friends while the six were arguing. Haibara explains why they didn't let Sato and Takagi come, and from there forces the six of them to solve the poisoning case and give an explanation for today's incident in a fierce manner. So with that attitude, Shiratori sends everyone out immediately, much to most annoyance since they usually let them on the scene.

The police start questioning the suspects one by one:
*Starting with Aijima, she says that there might be maritozzi next month and her friends happened to be coming today so she wanted everyone to try it as a way to get feedback because those three friends always care about the taste of a dish. She was considered the most likely culprit because she was the one who prepared the dish, but Kokonoe turned the plate away when she wanted to take a picture and post it on social media. She also mentions the conflict between Nagasu and Kokonoe because Kokonoe broke her promise to only watch The Knight Hearts.
*Next is Kokonoe, she says that this was the first time she saw Toya dividing the food into separate plates, probably because Nagasu had eaten Toya's pizza while the latter was in the bathroom and the sooner was drunk. Then the two of them argued loudly over the said pizza.
*Finally, Toya, she confirms and is a bit surprised about Kokonoe's statement, she also mentions about dividing the pizza and why she did it. In addition, she also explains the reason for choosing this place as the meeting place because the previous times at the cafe in Haido City were boring enough, so Nagasu wanted to come here once.

While the three guys forget about solving the case and continue arguing because the testimony seem to not point out the culprit, Naeko and Kobayashi are seen discussing letting Conan join in solving the case, meanwhile, Conan sneezes because someone has mentioned him whilst hoping that this long-winded case could end soon.

Part 2
What has to happen, happens, Conan receives a call from Yumi and is informed about the crime scene, the suspect's testimony, Conan also asks her some small questions about the victim and is immediately answered with the crime scene recording at that time. And with the selfie of the group of 4 people, Conan also realizes the truth of the case. However, suddenly before that, Yumi suddenly saw the heart symbol on the 7th of this month in Kobayashi's notebook when they were looking for Agasa's number to send the security tape, from there they decided to solve this case without Conan. But are the two people's deductions similar?
Resolution
<spoiler>The culprit is Yasuko Aijima. Yasuko killed Tokumi with poison that she ended up consuming with the fruit cream puff she ate.

Yasuko had actually poisoned the first chair Tokumi was sitting on and also purposely made it wobbly. When Tokumi notices the wobbliness, she'll think that her weight had broke the chair, and would sneakily try to swap to a different chair. When the lights went out for a little girl’s birthday celebration cake, Tokumi begin swapping her chair by grabbing the bottom while having it pressed against her legs and bottom, in this way avoiding the sounds created from dragging a chair. But by doing so, Tokumi had gotten the poison on her hands. After swapping the poisoned chair with the chair at the table beside, the poisoned chair, being at a different table, would now be considered irrelevant to the murder and there is less chance it would be checked for poison.

All Tokumi had to do was eat something with her hands and that would guarantee her death. Yasuko knew which chair Tokumi would sit on because in every group photo they’ve ever taken, Tokumi always stood on the right, believing that she looked better from that angle. After taking the group photo, everyone would naturally take the closest seat, thus Tokumi would always be sitting on the right. She also made sure that the group would sit at the table with poisoned chair by reserving that table for the group.

Motive
Mao and Sumika furiously ask why she would do such a thing as one wrong mistake could have killed them as well. However, she coldly states that she didn’t care as she wanted them all dead for causing the death of the former Knight Hearts member Kenya Shibumi.

Kenya had been secretly dating someone and he had been exposed after a photo of him with his girlfriend was posted online after a fan took the photo. His girlfriend was revealed to be Yasuko and after his relationship was exposed to the public, his reputation was ruined and he found it harder to produce music and get more sponsors. As a result, he resorted to drinking and one day when he was stumbling across the street intoxicated, he was hit by a car and killed.

Yasuko, being devastated, decided to track down the person who took and posted the photo. It turned out to be a female fan, who she asked to meet at a diner, where she told the fan that she and Kenya were genuinely in love and that the fan had no right to tell the world about them. However, to her shock, the fan revealed that she had learned about Kenya's whereabouts from Tokumi. To add insult to injury, she learned that Mao and Sumika were also present with Tokumi when this happened and they did nothing to stop her. This is why she wanted to kill mainly Tokumi, but also Mao and Sumika for betraying her and for causing the death of the man she loved.
Aftermath
Conan reveals to Haibara that the reason why Chiba, Shiratori, Shukichi, Naeko, Kobayashi, and Yumi had been meeting at that diner was because the three girls told their boyfriends about meeting on the 8th for a special event. The three men believed it to be a romantic date of some sort, and decided to consult the other girls for help to buy a gift for their respective girlfriends.

Ironically, Conan also reveals that all three girls had planned to go to a “Knight Hearts” concert with their boyfriends. They are shown together at the concert, the men, while reluctant at first, decide to enjoy the concert to the fullest.
A notice from Kaito Kid arrived at the repository of the Onoe Zaibatsu in Hakodate, Hokkaido. This time, Kid is aiming for a Japanese sword which is said to be related to Toshizo Hijikata, the vice commander of Shinsengumi, who lived in the end of Edo period. Why does Kid, who has pursued Big Jewel, go after the sword? Meanwhile, Heiji Hattori, the great detective from the west, and Conan, also visited the site for a Kendo tournament to be held in Hakodate. On the day of the crime announcement, Heiji discovers Kid’s disguise and hunts him down…!?

At the same time, the body with a cross cut on the chest was found in Hakodate warehouse district. A Japanese-American man known as the “Merchant of Death” who works as an arms dealer throughout Asia has emerged from the investigation. He was looking for treasures believed to have been hidden somewhere in Hakodate by the first head of the Onoe family, who was heavily involved in the war industry during the World War II. Rumor has it that it is such a powerful weapon that it could change the war situation that Japan was losing at the time, and the treasure and the sword Kid is aiming at seem to have something kind of connection. The shadow of a mysterious swordsman looms over Kid who is aiming at the sword.
Resolution
<spoiler>Conan and Heiji convene to meet with Brian D. Kadokura at the Goryōkaku (五稜郭), the Hakodate Pentagram, so they could explain the truth of where the treasure is located. Taking into account the old pictures of Keizaburo Onoe in a hot air balloon that had a glass bottom, one would need to put the sword vertically on the glass and align the pentagram motif of the crossguard with the actual Pentagram when seen from above, then at the height they become perfectly aligned, look from the top of the sword, not from the crossguard. At the same time, the Detective Boys and professor Agasa test that on Agasa's newly created hot-air balloon, and when they get to right height, Haibara has Mitsuhiko light a laserbeam towards the actual location of the treasure, Mount Hakodate.

After the treasure has been revealed, Heiji and Conan ask Kadokura to release Ryoe and stop his antics, but Kadokura laughs and says he actually planted a bomb all over the city and holds it hostage. However, Nacho snatches away the detonator from his boss and jumps on the rooftop of the barracks, revealing himself to be Kaitou Kid in disguise. The real Nacho had been bound and gagged. Kid helps Heiji and Conan fight off Kadokura. Kadokura sends his men to attack Heiji and Conan, but two new contenders arrive, Okita, whom Heiji called for backup, and Onimaru, whom Okita had noticed was participating at the tournament. As he sees his men get taken down, Kadokura escapes with a few more henchmen. Conan immediately asks Ayumi to drop his skateboard from the hot-air balloon, and it lands right down at the Pentagram. Conan picks it up and starts running after Kadokura, while Kid disappears. Heiji asks Onimaru and Okita to take care of the remaining men while he left after looking at his phone, which is showing Hijiri's location.

Later, Momiji and Iori, who are in the helicopter above Hakodate, notice that Conan is involved in car chase and decide to drop flash bombs to take down some of the cars, and thus, Conan is able to chase after Kadokura alone.

Meanwhile, Hijiri is on the move, as he notices the laserbeam and he starts his plane towards the target. Before Hijiri manages to take off, Heiji manages to catch up to him and he grabs the plane's tail wing. Hijiri, getting angry, puts the plane in autopilot and jumps on the wing and both have a sword duel. Meanwhile, Conan manages to disable Kadokura's car just before he can get to the mountain top, and the latter furiously gets out of the car and tries to shoot Conan dead. Suddenly, Ryoe appears from behind and lands an Iai move on him, knocking him out, as well as his accomplice. Conan smiles, as he had seen as similar move before. Indeed, Ryoe Fukushiro is Sumito Hisagaki's murderer and the one that tried to kill Kid. Conan notices that his stance is the same as the attacker and that he has a slash on the hand, an injury common to iaidoka which Conan noticed when Ryoe took his medicine a while ago. Ryoe applauds him for his intelligence. Conan noticed that even though Tadayuki Onoe could not walk, he still had pictures of him in nature and mountains, and realized that Ryoe was the one who drove him around. Tadayuki then tasked him to find and destroy the treasure before he passed away. He killed Hisagaki because he started to deal with Kadokura and that was a threat to the treasure, and he framed his own son to distract Kadokura.

Meanwhile, during their fight, Hijiri Fukushiro explains that his mother died while in a humanitarian mission from a bomb while trying to save children, and thus, thinking that the treasure is dangerous and could potentially harm people, he and his father sought to destroy it. Heiji tells him that there is should not forget what he really wants to do, to study medicine like his mother, instead of blindly following his father's wishes.

During the fight, Heiji falls from the plane, but Kid arrives on his hang-glider cape and picks up Heiji and helps him get back on the plane's wing. After that, Heiji lands a final blow to Hijiri, knocking him out. He, however, is not able to pilot the plane, but manages to drop the bomb to the sea, and later jumps with a parachute carrying unconscious Hijiri before the plane crashed, saving the people on the mountain.

After Conan and Ryoe confirmed that Heiji and Hijiri is safe, Kadokura gets up and tries to shoot them one last time, but is shot in the arm by a smiling detective Kawazoe. After that, Ryoe, Conan, and Kid, who just landed, get to the treasure, but when Ryoe sees there is only a small box, he gets angry and smashes it. Conan explains that the real treasure was never gold bars, and that Keizaburo invested all his money in this cipher machine, which was the real treasure for its time. Ryoe falls to the ground, realizing he had been pursuing futile endeavors.

Kadokura and Ryoe are taken away by the Hokkaido Police. When Nishimura is arresting Kadokura, Kawazoe arrives at the crime scene much later, where he explains that he won a lottery and was on holiday for the last 3 days, making Nishimura wonder who the Kawazoe he worked with earlier was.

Ran and Kazuha, on the observation deck, see Heiji landing with Hijiri and Ran applauds him, thinking that he could not have found a better way to confess. When they land, Hijiri starts to regain consciousness, but Ran knocks him out and brings him away, giving the two childhood friends the best occasion to confess. Heiji takes Kazuha to the top of the observation deck and prepares to confess, but Momiji and Iori, who are watching them from above, accidentally drop a flash bomb, which lands on Heiji and Kazuha. After the bomb explodes, both get up, and Heiji confesses to Kazuha.

During mid credit scenes, Aoko is seen feeding her recovering father Ginzo some apples at the hospital. Okita and Onimaru walk away from the Pentagram while enjoying the spring cherry blossoms and Okita thinks about Onimaru, whose voice reminded him of Hijikata Toshizō. Takuzo regains consciousness at the hospital, but is surrounded by the Hokkaido Police, who are ready to arrest them. At the same time, inspector Nishimura calls subordinates, having defused the bombs Kadokura placed.

Post-credit
After Heiji confesses to Kazuha, she stares at him crying, saying that she cannot hear anything since she covered Heiji and was exposed to the bomb. Heiji gets flustered after knowing that Kazuha didn't hear his confession.

At the Kudo residence, Yusaku reveals to Yukiko that he has twin brother, but both were separated after their parents divorced. At the same time, he writes to a certain T. K., talking about his latest novel. Yusaku also says that while he hasn't meet his twin brother for 20 years, Yukiko might have meet him once. He also said that his brother gave him a sword, which is revealed to be Keizaburo's missing sword. At the top of a tower, the other Kawazoe takes off his disguise, revealing himself to be Kaitou Corbeau, who is also the one writing back to Yusaku while signing with T. K..</spoiler>
