Momiji Ooka is a character in the manga and anime franchise Detective Conan.

Background
Momiji Ooka is a second-year student from Kyoto Senshin High School and a champion of Hyakunin Isshu karuta. She lives in the Higashiyama district of Kyoto and her family is likely wealthy since she has a personal butler, third to Renya Karasuma and Suzuki plutocrats. Momiji claims Heiji "proposed her when they were little" and thus believes that they will be romantically involved in the future.

Momiji was once part of an elite karuta association called Nagoro-kai. She was the greatest student of the group's founder, Nagoro Shikao. However, after the group was disbanded, she joined another association called the Satsuki-kai.

Momiji appears to be an extremely competent detective, as she saw through a trick merely based on a sound she heard in a phone call with her butler, Muga Iori, before Conan, Heiji or Bourbon did. Later, Muga says that her deduction was great as usual, implying that she regularly solves cases and also says that Heiji's great deductive skill was to be expected from the person that Momiji chose as her partner.

Momiji is involved in the movie plot which will center around Heiji and Kazuha's romance. She was shown crying in the movie artwork. The movie shows her in an uta-karuta tournament and introducing herself as "Heiji's fiancé", plus there's a picture of her and Heiji's younger selves making a pinky swear.

Personality
Momiji has a close personal interest in Heiji's cases as he makes the news. For some reason, she believes Heiji will be her future husband, despite his feelings for Kazuha. She and Heiji did meet as children and apparently made a promise.

Momiji is also extremely smart, especially in regards to catching details that others miss. When Iori informed her via phone some details about a case Heiji was working, Momiji actually caught other signals that Muga himself had missed and used them to reach a correct deduction that would greatly help Conan and Heiji. Muga also implies that Momiji engages in her own detective work at times, as she is no stranger to making such deductions.

Momiji seems to be very girlish and a bit vain, plus fond of taking some degree of care in her appearance. She has pierced ears and small earrings, and her nails are seen painted in intricate patterns. She also has a notably larger bust size than other girls in the series, flustering Heiji in their first movie meeting, making flat-chested Masumi jealous and baffled when she first sees Momiji, and leading Okita to simply referring to Momiji as "Boobs" in a conversation with Ran.

Finally, Momiji is a champion in the famous card game Hyakunin Isshu Karuta, a game that Kazuha is also proficient in. The movie plot takes place as both she and Kazuha are getting ready for a karuta tournament.
Chosuke Takagi is a character in the manga and anime franchise Detective Conan.

Background
Chosuke Takagi is a police detective and Megure's senior by two years. He was moved from Tokyo to Tottori in order to help with the investigation of a large crime syndicate there.

Personality
Chosuke was shown to be very aggressive at times in an investigation. Once he grabbed Chiba by the collar and slammed him against the wall just to ask him for confirmation to a question. He is also very efficient at investigating, taking notice of minor details and connecting the dots rather quickly. He suspected Chiba of lying to protect his friend in the first case he appeared in, because he believed that as a police detective he had to suspect everyone no matter how good they are.

Appellations
Plot overview
Chosuke first appeared in one of the Police Detective love cases, in which the other Tokyo police thought Wataru Takagi was being sent to Tottori. Chosuke investigated a crime with Sato and Takagi that involved a friend of Chiba's. After the case was solved, Takagi found out that it was Chosuke being sent to Tottori and not him.

Trivia
* Altough he and Takagi share the same surname, they are not from the same family but it caused some misunderstanding.
Resolution
<spoiler>The other robber is Yasue Kitamori. Yusaku and Shuichi explain that they knew this from the fact that she is not wearing a swimsuit under her outerwear, and her purchase, a pair of beach sandals. Since the other robber fell into the sea, the bank notes in the robber's wallet would be drenched and thus too suspicious to pay with. Unlike the clothes the other two suspects purchased, Yasue's sandals were cheap enough to pay for them with coins instead. Secondly, Yusaku and Shuichi noticed that Yasue's watch was stuck at 10:10. This time is what watches on display at shops are usually set to, since the handles don't obstruct the brand logos this way. All branded watches have serial numbers, so it will only take a simple comparison between Yasue's watch and the ones stolen during the robbery to prove her involvement in the crime. Yasue confesses and explains that during their escape, she and her partner got into an argument over Yasue taking the watch from the loot for herself and that this argument caused the car crash.

Conan realizes that Masumi knows that he is Shinichi Kudo, the Akai family's middle brother is Shukichi Haneda, and that their mother is Mary, now somehow shrunken.

Masumi thinks to herself that while Conan has finally remembered her, and has remembered that he made Shuichi smile and laugh when she could not, there is another reason she calls him a "wizard", a reason which he does not know.</spoiler>

Jinpei Matsuda is a character in the manga and anime franchise Detective Conan.

Background
Jinpei Matsuda was originally a member of the Tokyo Police bomb squadron. His partner Kenji Hagiwara was killed four years previously by a serial bomber in Shinjuku who had sworn revenge on the police for the accidental death of his partner. When the killer resurfaced three years ago, Matsuda's superiors, fearing that he would become reckless due to personal interest, transferred him to Megure's department, where he was promptly partnered with Miwako Sato, then a rather new detective.

Sato was at first put off by his direct manner, but then the bomber appeared in their district less than a week later, depositing an explosive charge in a Ferris wheel at an amusement park. When Matsuda attempted to disarm the bomb, the killer trapped him inside and revealed the existence of yet another bomb hidden in the city. As the countdown of the Ferris wheel bomb would wind down, the name of the second bomb's location would be gradually displayed, claiming a policeman's life for the life of innocents, as the bomber had intended. Matsuda sent the bomb location to Sato via SMS just as the final seconds ran out, his last thoughts being regret that he would not be able to drink to his partner's memory following the apprehension of the culprit.

Matsuda's death haunted Sato for years to come, as she had fallen in love with him, and she kept his final message on her cell phone as a reminder of him. When the bomb killer was finally caught by her and Takagi, she managed to put behind the haunt of her past, though she promised herself never to forget about Matsuda.

Personality
Upon his transfer to the Tokyo Metropolian Police, Sato found Matsuda rather blunt and aloof, since he spoke out his mind no matter what anybody would think. However, despite his personal interest in the case which eventually claimed his life, Matsuda remained cool and professional, placing the safety of Sato, for whom he had come to care as well, and innocents over his own life, qualities which had won Sato's heart.
Plot overview
Parade Bomber Case (Manga: 366-368, Anime: 301-302)
Matsuda was shown in a series of Sato's flashbacks in which he was depicted solving the case of the bombing and sending Sato the location of the second bomb, shortly before dying in the explosion on the Ferris Wheel.

Serial Bomber Case (Manga: 369-373, Anime: 304)
Missing Ring Case (Manga: 406, Anime: 359)
Whistling Killer Case (Manga: 672, Anime: 535)
Relationships analysis
Miwako Sato
Jinpei was Miwako Sato's love interest who died inside the Ferris Wheel planted with a bomb, where he waited for the last few seconds before the explosion of the bomb in order to obtain the clue to figuring out the culprit behind the bombing cases. While Sato originally found him cold and aloof, they still grew close and cared deeply about each other, falling in love at some point of time after he transferred to Sato's division and met her. His death haunted Sato for a long period of time, and she kept his last message to her in her cell phone as a memento of him. However, Sato was able to let go of Jinpei's death following the apprehension of the bomb culprit as well as Takagi's advice towards her and also deleted his last message to her as a sign of putting his death behind her. Regardless, Sato vows to never forget about him. She has also apparently cultivated a slight fear of Ferris Wheels as shown when she was stunned and shocked upon seeing a Ferris Wheel while chasing a culprit in the amusement park, when she had been on a date with Takagi some time after, to the point that it caused her legs to give in and for her to burst into tears.

Rei Furuya
Rei Furuya from the Public Security Bureau was his friend since they attended the police academy, and he has also learned by him how to defuse a bomb.

Kenji Hagiwara
Jinpei and Kenji Hagiwara were really good friends and always did missions together. They also attended the same police academy. Although Jinpei was more careful to his friend, Kenji was more carefree. On Kenji's last mission, Jinpei called him like he always did and chated with him and told him he should have worn his bomb defusal suit to which Kenji replied he was fine. Unfortunately for him, he died, and Jinpei decided to avenge him although himself died at the hands of the same bomber four years later. Although Kenji died, Jinpei still sent mails to his email even after.

Wataru Date
Wataru Date attended the same police academy as Jinpei. They also graduated together.

Hiromitsu Morofushi
Jinpei was well acquainted with Hiromitsu Morofushi since they were good friends along with the three others and attended the academy together.

Trivia
* Jinpei Matsuda's character design has probably been inspired by Spike Spiegel, the protagonist of the manga and anime franchise Cowboy Bebop. ==== Part 1 ====
It started when Conan, Haibara, Professor Agasa, and the Detective Boys are in the hotel hall, winning a cake buffet in the game "spin the wheel". They meet Saya Kitami after the toy helicopter was put on Genta's cake, and a later while they meet Kyona Shono. The two famous actresses hate each other. They made a bet about the popularity of their blog: the one who will lose will have her hair shaved. Conan and the others leave the hotel after eating, but Conan notices that Sakurako Yonehara is asking for a key to Kyona's room, who she was supposed to wake up. After explaining to Conan that Kyona is not replying in her room, every one rushes in Kyona's room, and discovers her dead body on the floor.

Part 2
Conan discovers that secret Kyona has discovered, but he doubts that it's something that was worth killing for, until he sees something else in the picture. He realize that the locked room hadn't been her intention at the beginning. The police are still baffled at the crime scene. Takagi and Megure decides to call their superintendent for orders, when the door bell rings. Megure sees through the peek hole that it's Professor Agasa standing outside, but when he opens the door, he finds Conan instead who tells them that they needs to come down to Saya's room below. While Megure is a bit doubtful, Takagi, who has been on the phone with the superintendent, says that they are being ordered to do as Conan says. In Saya's room, Conan uses Professor Agasa's voice to explain his deduction.
Resolution
<spoiler>The culprit is Saya Kitami, who is actually 29 years old. She used a recording of Sakurako to lure Kyona into opening the door for her. The murder weapon was Kyona Shono's selfie stick, which Saya took to her own apartment. She used her toy helicopter in order to close Kyona's apartment door and leave the card inside. Her motive was that she thought Kyona knew she had accidentally killed an old man in a car accident and fled the crime scene, but Conan reveals that the only secret Kyona knew was that Saya was actually five years older than she claimed to be. The unhappy misunderstanding happened because that Saya saw a manga series in the picture with the titel 'The hit and run of love' and thought that Kyona was referring to 'Hit and Run' which in English means to cause an accident with a car and flee the scene. But in the same picture was another manga series that was set up so the numbers replaced with hiragana in a simple number code would form the sentence 'Saya is 29 years old.' With this revelation, Saya breaks down in tears as she had murdered Kyona for no reason at all.

Afterwards, Superintendent Hyoue Kuroda arrives on the crime scene and announces that since Superintendent Kiyonaga Matsumoto has been promoted as Senior Superintendent of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, he will be taking his place. Conan and Haibara are shocked, as Kuroda tells Conan that he's looking forward to working with him.</spoiler>
Maria Higashio is a character in the manga and anime franchise Detective Conan.

Background
She is a recent transferred student that is in the same class as the Detective Boys in Teitan Primary School Class 1-B, along with Takuma Sakamoto. She likes dice and speaks with Kansai dialect which means she and her parents must come from that region. Her parents work at an office and don't have time to stay all day with her. Also, her paternal grandparents' house is just in front of her house. In one case, she went missing since she didn't go to school and her parents didn't see her either which made the Detective Boys search for her. It in fact turned out that she just fell asleep in her grandparents' house. It is proven in a picture that she once went to Tropical Land with her grandparents.

Personality
She is a shy and timid little girl that had difficulty to integrate herself in the class so Sumiko Kobayashi, her teacher, decided to pretend to be missing so kids would team together and include her as part of the group.

Appearance
She has two braids held by two peach-shaped headbands and round glasses. Her hair is peach colored which make her look just like Keiko Momoi but in a younger self.

Plot overview
Kobayashi-sensei's Mystery (Manga: 548-549, Anime: 460)
Shinichi Kudo's Childhood Adventure (Anime: 472-473)
She was seen briefly with Takuma at the school.

The Old Warehouse of Teitan Elementary School (Manga: 966-968, Anime: 889-890)
She is seen in a cameo with Takuma.

Missing Maria Higashio Case (Manga: 1006-1008, Anime: 941-942)
Maria hasn't come to school that day and Kobayashi is a bit stressed, she decides to send the Detective Boys to see if she is okay.
Yuminaga, better known as Inspector Yuminaga, is a character in the manga and anime franchise Detective Conan.

Background
Inspector Yuminaga is from the Arson Investigation Section 1 of the first Division, who therefore deals with arson cases. Kogoro Mouri, who was his subordinate at some point, nicknamed him "fiery old fossil".

Personality
Yuminaga, like most other inspectors, trusts and listen to Conan Edogawa's deductions, even once called him "the boy who has put the police to shame".
He has gotten angry at a man that burnt down an apartment because "I thought resetting it would fix it", and angrily mentions that the culprit, in one day, destroyed a lifetime of memories of a family. Similar to most other police officers, he shows professionalism and dedication in his job. He is also quite calm and collected during cases.
