The Detective Boys, now even more determined to find an entrance, search the house, which is filled with different illusions. Then, Ayumi and Haibara needs to use the restroom. But after Haibara tells Ayumi to go ahead, she accidentally falls through a secret passageway hidden behind a mirror in the bathroom. Ayumi immediately alerts the boys about Haibara's disappearance, who begin investigating the restroom; consequently, Conan notices that there's wind coming from the mirror, but can't gain access into the passageway behind it. Mitsuhiko alerts Conan that there's a storeroom next door, so convinced that there's another entrance, the Detective Boys run next door to search the storeroom. There, they discover two mirrors: a big one connected to the wall (though appears to be leaning against it) and a smaller one sitting on a desk. While checking the smaller mirror, Ayumi notices that it is covered with the same heavy perfume Momoe Kyoudou was wearing, accidentally flips the mirror, and suddenly, the big mirror Conan was investigating slides down to reveal an entrance covered with masking tape. Through a small argument, Mitsuhiko and Genta accidentally fall through the passageway, leaving Conan and Ayumi alone. Conan asks Ayumi to stay, but she is determined to go with him to find Haibara, so holding hands, they go through the masking tape together. <br />

In the Japanese language, "aoi" means blue, but Tsutomu Kyuoudou had described the button as "ao" which can mean blue or green, in this case, green. Momoe had been surprised by the hologram that came when the blue button was pressed, since she was expecting treasure, and she fell. The treasure had been revealed to be a hologram of beautiful colors on the inner walls of the tower of darkness. This tower was supposed to be for Tsutomu to remember his childhood dreams and take over the family business.<br />

At the time, the office had gone to lock the back entrance which he came in through to murder Ooka. It is revealed that he was the one rooting throught he neighborhood garbage while he was getting information on Ooka. This way he was allowed to patrol the area frequently without being suspicious. While Tateno had murdered Ooka, his hat dropped onto the spilled sugar. Conan noticed Tateno cleaning off sugar from his hat at the police station and saw that he dusted the hat off upside down. Conan knew the substance was sugar because ants had begun to gather around that area. Conan concluded that Ooka's missing false tooth must have also fallen into Tateno's hat during the struggle. The tooth was found in his police hat. <br />

Serial murders involving all kinds have happened. All the victims are from a Music School led by a famous pianist. Conan and company have been invited to an opening concert of the Music Hall built by the pianist. The biggest attraction of this concert is a Stradivarius violin and a special appearance of a singer who has perfect pitch. Will she be next, and does the song she is singing, "Amazing Grace", play an important part in this case? Conan figures out that the murderer is Takumi Fuwa, the Domoto Hall director and former piano tuner for Kazuki Domoto. <br />

The cause of the death of Hikaru Soma is revealed. Osamu Shida, Hisao Sone, Takehiko Renjo, and Yosuke Mizumi who were all from the same musical school Soma attended had forced Soma to drink although they knew he could not handle alcohol. Soma later died because of an accident that occurred because he was drunk. Hikaru Soma had a mother who never married, and his father was not known. It turns out that Takumi Fuwa was his father. Fuwa killed the four music students in order to get revenge for the death of his son. He used the flute parts (head, body, and foot) to throw off the police and lead them to think the murders was the job of a serial murderer who had 3 targets. <br />
<br />
Fuwa's final plan was to destroy all the fans and musicians by setting up 24 bombs in the Music School. He set one bomb for each one of the 23 pillars holding up the building and one in the ceiling of the music hall. An air detecting sensor Fuwa had slipped into one of the pipes of the organ caused this off pitch note, making it flat. This sensor was connected to the bombs. With this method, he was able to detonate each bomb once the off note key was played on the organ. Since any one who had perfect pitch would tell the difference right away, Fuwa got rid of them by injuring Soko Kabe and attacking Reiko Akiba, and locking up Hans Muller, the organ tuner.<br />
<br />
While Akiba interrupted Shion Yamane, Rara Chigusa, and Kazuki Domoto's performance by singing "Amazing Grace", Conan went to stop the last bomb from killing everyone in the musical hall. Although Conan had dissembled the senor and bombs, Fuwa was determined to set of the 24th bomb by directly pushing the detonator button in order to kill Kazuki Domoto. Miwako Sato shot the detonator out of his and Takagi arrested Fuwa. Fuwa felt that after his wife and son had died, the only thing that kept him going was was being the sole piano tuner for Kazuki Domoto, a famous, skilled pianist. However, When Domoto retired, Fuwa felt that Domoto was acting selfishly. In fact, Kazuki Domoto had retired because he felt that although Fuwa had learned to hear perfect pitch, Fuwa was getting old and was losing his hearing. At times Fuwa would fail in tuning the piano. Kazuki Domoto felt that to save Fuwa's pride he would give it up and convinced Fuwa to be the hall director instead. When Fuwa finds this out, he gives up his plans to commit suicide and regrets his actions.<br />

It is later revealed that although Fuwa had the chance to kill Akiba, he stopped because her singing was pure and was able to warm the hearts of everyone. He also couldn't kill the fiance of his deceased son. Akiba had revealed that when she heard of Soma's death and the musicians that caused it, she wanted to kill them too, but the song "Amazing Grace" is about forgiveness and she chose to forgive them.<br />

Waking up with a fever, Conan reluctantly stays in bed while Haibara and the Detective Boys begin to play Karuta Cards. Mitsuhiko video calls to check why Conan is not with them. Suddenly, the door bell and repetitive knocks are at the front of Ayumi's apartment. A strange boy with slanted eyes, widows peek, and glasses stands panting and begging for help. "Naturally," his "parents" come and pick him up from the door step and tell the detective boys it was only a prank and not to worry about it. Still video chatting, Conan explains that it was not a prank and that they should call Takagi. Conan hangs up and rest in bed. The Detective Boys are debating weather to listen to Conan or not because of his cold. In the end, Haibara and the Detective Boys walk around the building and ask the neighbors about the Urafune family. But all it leads up to going to the condo itself.<br />

To come up with an excuse, Haibara says that they want to play with Masao, and push their way in to the apartment. Genta needs to use the restroom but it seems to be occupied, so Masao's "mom" tells him that he can use the back one. Slowly the Karuta game progresses, and so does the atmosphere in the room.<br />

By the time Masao picks his card, Genta just so happens to want the same one, nevertheless Masao is completely reluctant to give '''his''' card away. While the Detective Boys find that strange, Haibara takes notes on his behavior of their new companion. And as the game continues, the "Mother" reads the cards aloud reluctantly. With the cards gathered and in place Masao says, "Mommy, restroom!" She replies, "It cant be helped. I'll go with you." Leaving his final clue, Masao says, "Bring my towel! I can't go without it!" You know, the towel (ta o ru) with a horsehair crab (Ke ga ni) from Lake Suwa (su wa ko).<br />

After a while of thinking, Haibara figures it out, and announces that Conan was right. She realized that Masao had been only going for certain Karuta cards in order to spell out a message. Another clue was that he had asked his "mom" to take him to the bathroom, he said nonsensical phrase. Little do they know that there is a cell phone that is listing to their every word that the "mom" left behind. Masao's fake parents congratulate the kids for figuring most of it out, then brutally tell them that they stop there. At that moment, the post office man rings and tells them they need to bring up a package, the adults agree and tell the kids to hush. When the door opens, they hear a struggle and a fall. Masao's fake dad walks over to the door and is hit with a soccer ball. Takagi, takes orders from Conan, who had deduced the circumstances of the whole situation. Including the tax evasion status. Conan knew right away that the couple with Masao were not his biological parents because Masao had a widows peak, a triangular piece of hair in the middle of the forehead while the two did not which is not genetically possible. He found it suspicious that the couple had been acting like his biological parents when they were not.<br />
<br />
The two kidnappers, were trying to destroy evidence pertaining to tax evasion. The sender of that registered mail was the previous resident of Masao's apartment. The one named Uemura, who was a former employee of the Isobe Corporation, now is under suspicion of tax evasion. The contents of the registered mail were probably whistleblower documents, or account books with evidence of tax evasion. The documents were sent not too long ago to the producer at Nichiuri TV, Hida. The employee planned to move and go into hiding. But Hida ended up in a coma due to a car accident, and couldn't receive the registered mail as he was hospitalized. Since the post office holds on to the mail for more or less ten days, the kidnappers calculated the time of its return and plotted to pose as Uemura who had lived here before in order to snatch away the registered mail. Uemura is either confined somewhere else, or has been murdered. They also made it look like the accident with the TV producer. In the end, Conan saves the day and ends the case with everyone else catching his cold.<br />

Kurumi Shodo said that the scar stretched across the boy's back, however, when a boy grows, the scar does not grow as well, it would stay the same size. Conan realizes that Shodo san's butler is the boy from her past and that Kurumi most likely already knew for a while now and is using the public attention to try and get him to confess knowing he would never tell her otherwise because of his selflessness.<br />

Serial murders involving all kinds have happened. All the victims are from a Music School led by a famous pianist. Conan and company have been invited to an opening concert of the Music Hall built by the pianist. The biggest attraction of this concert is a Stradivarius violin and a special appearance of a singer who has perfect pitch. Will she be next, and does the song she is singing, "Amazing Grace", play an important part in this case? Conan might not be able to sing a note, but he's ready to figure it out and make sure she stays alive for the final act as the concert plays a Full Score of Fear!<br />

Conan figures out that the murderer is Takumi Fuwa, the Domoto Hall director and former piano tuner for Kazuki Domoto. <br />

The cause of the death of Hikaru Soma is revealed. Osamu Shida, Hisao Sone, Takehiko Renjo, and Yosuke Mizumi who were all from the same musical school as Soma had forced Soma to drink although they knew he could not handle alcohol. Soma later died because of an accident that occurred because he was drunk. Hikaru Soma had a mother who never married, and his father was not known. It turns out that Takumi Fuwa was his father. Fuwa killed the four music students in order to revenge the death of his son. He used the flute parts (head, body, and foot) to throw off the police and lead them to think the murders was the job of a serial murderer who had 3 targets. <br />

Fuwa's final plan was to destroy all the fans and musicians by setting up 24 bombs in the Music School. He set one bomb for each one of the 23 pillars holding up the building and one in the ceiling of the music hall. An air detecting sensor Fuwa had slipped into one of the pipes of the organ caused this off pitch note, making it flat. This sensor was connected to the bombs. With this method, he was able to detonate each bomb once the off note key was played on the organ. Since any one who had perfect pitch would tell the difference right away, Fuwa got rid of them by injuring Soko Kabe and attacking Reiko Akiba, and locking up Hans Muller, the organ tuner.<br />

While Akiba interrupted Shion Yamane, Rara Chigusa, and Kazuki Domoto's performance by singing "Amazing Grace", Conan went to stop the last bomb from killing everyone in the musical hall. Although Conan had dissembled the senor and bombs, Fuwa was determined to set of the 24th bomb by directly pushing the detonator button in order to kill Kazuki Domoto. Miwako Sato shot the detonator out of his and Takagi arrested Fuwa. Fuwa felt that after his wife and son had died, the only thing that kept him going was was being the sole piano tuner for Kazuki Domoto, a famous, skilled pianist. However, When Domoto retired, Fuwa felt that Domoto was acting selfishly. In fact, Kazuki Domoto had retired because he felt that although Fuwa had learned to hear perfect pitch, Fuwa was getting old and was losing his hearing. At times Fuwa would fail in tuning the piano. Kazuki Domoto felt that to save Fuwa's pride he would give it up and convinced Fuwa to be the hall director instead. When Fuwa finds this out, he gives up his plans to commit suicide and regrets his actions.<br />

It is later revealed that although Fuwa had the chance to kill Akiba, he stopped because her singing was pure and was able to warm the hearts of everyone. He also couldn't kill the fiance of his deceased son. Akiba had revealed that when she heard of Soma's death and the musicians that caused it, she wanted to kill them too, but the song "Amazing Grace" is about forgiveness and she chose to forgive them.<br />

They tend to stick together on cases, although sometimes this is because Heiji forces the less enthusiastic Conan to come along. While fond of Heiji as a fellow detective he can relate to, Conan finds Heiji's antics more of an annoyance than anything. Much to Conan's chagrin, Heiji even convinces others that Conan is his disciple. Conan especially dislikes Heiji's dangerous habit of calling Conan 'Kudo' when others are present. <br />

Agasa often acts as a chauffeur because he is trustworthy and the only adult with a car regularly available.<br />

Since then, the two have become rather close friends, and consult one another on cases, developments concerning the Black Organization, and even their "girlfriends". They tend to stick together on cases, although sometimes this is because Heiji forces the less enthusiastic Conan to come along. While fond of Heiji as a fellow detective he can relate to, Conan finds Heiji's antics more of an annoyance than anything. Much to Conan's chagrin, Heiji even convinces others that Conan is his disciple. Conan especially dislikes Heiji's dangerous habit of calling Conan 'Kudo' when others are present. <br />
