Located in Tokyo Bay, the newly built integrated resort and convention center "Edge of Ocean" is going to host an upcoming Summit Meeting. Prior to the Summit, an explosion went off at one of the building, killing and injuring many [[Public Security Bureau]] personnel performing inspection there, including [[Tooru Amuro]] and [[Yuya Kazami]].

A preliminary investigation found the fingerprint which matches the [[Kogoro Mouri|Kogoro]]'s, and with other evidence purportedly located inside his computer, Kogoro is arrested. After a hopeless search for a lawyer who is willing to represent Kogoro in the trial, [[Ran Mouri|Ran]], [[Eri Kisaki|Eri]], and [[Conan Edogawa|Conan]] encountered a freelance lawyer, Kyoko Tachibana, who offered to represent Kogoro in the case.

Meanwhile, the Office of the Attorney-General believes that the evidence incriminating Kogoro is sufficient to build the case, and Sayoko Iwai, the Attorney-General, instructed Makoto Kusakabe to prosecute Kogoro. At the same time, the police investigation of the case is ongoing, and it was discovered that the gas valve and pressurized cooker can be connected to the internet ([[Wikipedia: Internet of things|Internet of Things (IoT)]]) and that the two was remotely accessed via Nor (resembling Tor) through Kogoro's device to cause the explosion. On the day of the conference, people are experiencing strange cases of IoT devices malfunctioning, causing electrical short circuit and fire around Tokyo. At that time, Kogoro was being held in Tokyo Penitentiary, which means Kogoro could not have been the culprit in the bombing and the IoT attack, and the case against him was dropped.

<spoiler>The true culprit is the prosecutor '''Makoto Kusakabe'''. He employed an assistant named Fumikazu Haba, who previously worked with and fall in love with Tachibana. During the investigation by Kusakabe, Haba discovered that the culprit that hacks into the system of NAZU (resembling NASA) are working in a game company. Haba was arrested for breaking into the game company and was presumed dead after the interrogation by Amuro, causing Kusakabe to exact revenge on the Public Security Bureau. Amuro then revealed that Haba's death was faked to ensure that the public prosecutor will not employ the help of the assistant in the same manner as he did to Haba again.

However, Kusakabe already hacked into the system to change the projectile of the capsule launched from Hakuchō to crash to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police building, but he causes blackout at the building and initiates the IoT attack at the nearby vicinity to allow police personnel and other residents to be evacuated to the Edge of Ocean. Although Kusakabe relented and gave up the access code, it was almost too late, and Conan and Amuro employed help from Professor Agasa, Haibara, and the Detective Boys to detonate the bomb near the capsule in order for the capsule to fall into the harmless spot. With the point of impact being the casino tower at the Edge of Ocean, Amuro and Conan race against time and traffic to allow Conan to shoot the ball to deflect the capsule, and the capsule falls harmlessly into the water. In the end, Amuro tell Conan that he purposely involved Kogoro in order to Conan helped him solved the case.</spoiler>

Soshi Okita has a very laid back attitude and is a participant in the Oda Nobunaga tournament. He made a promise with his grandfather that he would quit practicing kendo if he won the tournament. He disliked kendo because he found it too easy. He encounters [[Yaiba Kurogane|Yaiba]] in the fourth round when Yaiba trips over him while he is sleeping in the grass. When the two fought, it was clear that Soshi was the better fighter. Yaiba refused to give up and his determination eventually led Soshi to forfeit the match. Soshi then decides that he will continue to practice kendo.

He claims that Soshi must be sleeping behind the gym somewhere doing the same thing. In a previous tournament Soshi had managed to cut Heiji behind his ear, which started bleeding heavily and the field doctor ended the match. This time a murder case occurs and prevents Heiji from participating. While [[Kazuha Toyama|Kazuha]] is watching the matches, she sees Soshi win against one of his opponents. Once the case is solved, Heiji and Kazuha see their defeated teammates leaving, realizing they had missed the final match.

== Background ==
Kamen Yaiba is a fictional character in the series and a superhero that often appears on TV as a kids' show. Many relics have been made about him as publicity and marketing, including trading cards, posters, DVDs, and figurines. He is most liked by elementary schoolers like [[Conan Edogawa|Conan]], [[Ayumi Yoshida|Ayumi]], [[Genta Kojima|Genta]], and [[Mitsuhiko Tsuburaya|Mitsuhiko]], and many movies of the franchise have been produced. The plot is about a hero wanting to save the world from the Jocker's alien boss and his henchmen, and to conquer a young lady who is his first love. On the way to defeat his arch-enemy, Yaiba also has to fight other villains that come in the way.

== Production ==
Kamen Yaiba is one of the most viewed shows in Japan in the series world and is produced by Nichiuri TV, based in Tokyo. The show's episodes sytem is based on the series one with episodes and seasons. It has a wide range of TV producers and ADs having two main actors: the one acting Kamen Yaiba and the one acting as Yaiba's girlfriend. The costume designs company used is Kitagawa Costumes and Nakamura Clothing Store. The show disposes of a wide range of animated presentations to children, most often in parks and public areas like the [[Wikipedia: Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse|Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse]]. The lighting and illumination is done by Ken Abe, Eizo Mizuguchi, and Nao Omura. The recording staff team is made by Emiko Akahori and Kenji Matoyama. The visual effects team has only two members: Masahiko Abe and Masahiro Isobe. The show has also been cooperated with Tohto University's Tama Campus, a visual arts department of the fictitious university, Iwakuma Sightseeing, a tourism agency promoting the show, Koyama Buses, bus transports for the staff, and Nagasaka's Everyone Kindergarten, as a promoter for children's shows.<ref>Semi credits on a TV in episode 391.</ref> The show appears in a weekly basis and mainly targets a young audience range, although some fans are really older.

== Appearance ==
Kamen Yaiba is a tall and handsome superhero, wearing a colored suit that distinguishes him from others when seen on TV. He has a helmet fully covering his head, which has green laser eyes and the Kamen Yaiba logo, a big yellow "Y". He has a red scarf and a metallic plastron with the big Y, white long gloves and a blue jumpsuit under, a belt with the same logo and white cowboy boots. He has a red motorcycle, that can overrun high obstacles, and a cape his scarf can become a cape separated into two red stripes.

The original Kamen Yaiba was more robotic and seemed like a strong boxer, with the abdominals visible and his metallic helmet. His powers gives him the ability to jump high and to avoid ennemies easily, and to shoot lasers on them.

The actor himself is not as powerful and strong as his character, since he is skinny, has black hair, and doesn't have any strength.
