Shizuka Hattori is a character in the manga and anime franchise, Detective Conan. Shizuka is Heiji's mother, a fact that shocks Kogoro, Ran, and Conan, due to her incredibly youthful appearance. Heiji is the only one who insults her looks, calling her "old lady." Nonetheless, Shizuka is very supportive of her son, rooting for him to solve cases, though she sometimes calls her husband, Heizo Hattori, police chief of Osaka, to assist Heiji. She is skilled in kendo.

Background
In her first appearance, she asked Kogoro to help find a man named Shiro Shibata so she could retrieve an old photograph; Conan realized that the Ikenami is lying to Kogoro when she introduces herself for unknown reasons. At first, Conan suspected her to be a member from the Black Organization despite her lies, and maybe her fake identity. At the end of case it is revealed that she is Heiji Hattori's mother.

Personality
Not much is known about this woman owing to her rare appearance. She is calm, elegant, and has incredible kendo skills. She can catch the katana of a person swinging it wildly with just her fan. She was shown her calm personality, even when Kogoro Mouri and Ran panicked. She's also very brave. In a movie, Heiji stated that he inherited his bravery from his mother.

<spoiler>
The police have already checked all of the items that resemble string and have tested for luminol. However Conan, Amuro, and Masumi reveal that the weapon has already left the studio. The police carried it out because it was one of the victims belongings. The murderer had taken her knit hat and unraveled it and used it as the murder weapon and then knitted it back together using the drumsticks. Amuro reveals that the culprit is Rumi Kogure. The other two suspects had gone into the room to do things that couldn't have been planned. Where as Rumi was supposedly playing her keyboard with her back to the camera where no one could see what she was doing. She had secretly been knitting the hat back together. With the drums fixed in place, the placement of the selfie stick camera would be dependent on the position of the keyboard. Rumi just had to move the keyboard further away from the drums so that the others would have moved the selfie stick to in front of the cctv camera. She has also spiked the victims water bottle with sleeping pills to ensure that she was asleep.

The motive was that the victim had been telling Akane to drink lots of wine and scream into a pillow to get her voice back, but in actuality it was making her voice worse. Then she told Akane that her voice was withering and that she shouldn't even show up to the next gig. Later Akane committed suicide by jumping in front of a car. However it seems that was all a misconception. Akane had run out into the road to save a small child who was crossing the road to get his ball. The victim had believed that she was responsible for Akane's death, not because of her harsh words about her voice, but because she had made a deal with her not to speak until her voice had gotten better. This was why Akane ran into the road rather then shouting, because it would hurt her voice.

After the case, Masumi revealed to Ran and Sonoko that the reason she became a detective was because of her oldest brother Shuichi, who is an FBI agent. Sonoko inquires if the person who taught Masumi the base was also from the FBI, but Masumi denies it. Amuro inwardly comments that the man was a member of the Metro Police Department Public Security Bureau and that Shuichi was the one who killed him.
File 939 - Lunch at the Department Store!
Agasa has once again won a meal ticket and is taking the Detective Boys to a restaurant at the department store. On the way there Conan thinks over what he knows about Masumi and the girl who is living with her, who he thinks is named Mary. He starts to think that she might resemble someone else, but his thoughts are interrupted by Haibara. When they arrive at the department store they see it decorated for Christmas despite it not being Christmas yet. Ayumi and Haibara approach the makeup counter. Haibara demands that they get to try on some makeup since they are customers, but the counter workers try to deny them and ask where their mother is. They get the makeup anyway and the counter worker asks about Haibaras mother, and she responds that her mother has been dead since just after she was born.

After the meal Agasa reveals another surprise, that he had also won a shopping ticket so that they could buy themselves early Christmas presents. Ayumi, Genta, Mitsuhiko, and Haibara all walk off. Conan and Agasa observe the restaurant chef, Ujiyasu Hosogoe, getting told by another chef that a troublesome customer had called again, Ujiyasu told them to tell the customer to meet him in the stairwell. After half an hour passed Conan hears screaming coming from the stairwell and rushes in to find Ujiyasu has been stabbed. He said that the culprit ran down the stairs so Conan has the Detective Boys run to the stairwell and watch to see if the culprit ran down. The police are able to round up three suspects. The Detective Boys give three completely different descriptions of who they think is the culprit is, and Genta mentions that he thinks the culprit had the number 2 on them.

File 940 - Taking apart the Testimony
The first suspect, Takashi, says that he had been looking for an empty restroom. His hand was wounded when caught in the restroom door and he has a bandage on his right index and middle fingers. He has two kanji characters on the back of his hoodie. The second suspect, Mitsuko, had lost her wallet and had been running from floor to floor to find it, however it had been in her bag all along. She had been in a hurry to catch a tv show. She is wearing a face mask due to being sick, and it had gotten worse as she had been running. She has a broach that looks similar to the number 6. The third suspect, Masaru, was sweaty from eating Thai food and was hurrying to get home so that he could shower. His original reason for coming to the mall was because he heard that a soup served in a restaurant there was the same as one he served at his own restaurant. His sports jacket has the Tokyo Spirits logo with an overlapping T and S on it. In addition he had been limping a little due to athletes foot. All three suspects had known the victim. Takashi had worked for Ujiyasu in the restaurant until he was dismissed for bad behavior. Mitsuko lives next door to Ujiyasu, and her dogs often barked to loudly which disturbed him. Masaru had accused Ujiyasu of stealing his recipes three years ago which ended with a fight where they were both taken to the police.

Conan points out that the knife used to stab the victim had no fingerprints on it so the police ask the suspects if they had gloves. All three of them had gloves because it is cold outside. After the police leave, the Detective Boys go into more detail about their statements with Conan. Genta had seen the culprit as they passed by several members of the Haido High Basketball team. Mitsuhiko had seen the culprit as they had run through a grouping of mannequins and small billboards. When the culprit passed Ayumi, they were standing between her and a window, where light was shinning in and obscured the view. They had reached down as if they were scraping something off their shoe. Then a group of High School students passed through on a study tour, blocking Ayumi's view again.

File 941 - The Truth of the Testimony
<spoiler>

The police find helium canisters that the culprit had used when calling the restaurant. Conan walks up to the police and announces he knows who the culprit is and that they can figure it out by walking through the testimonies. Conan explains several optical illusion effects which lead to each one of the Detective Boys giving different testimonies.

The culprit is Takashi Kamaya. He had checked the bottom of his shoe in such a fashion because of his injured hand. When he is wearing his backpack, it covers part of the kanji so that it looks like the number 2. When the police threaten to check his saliva against the saliva on the helium gas cans, he comes clean. He had previously brought his girlfriend to the restaurant after he had been fired, but he kept that from his girlfriend. He thought he could impress her with his knowledge of all of the food served there, and had dyed his hair and shaved to prevent being recognized. However Ujiyasu did recognize him and changed the recipe, which made Takashi look foolish. His girlfriend called him a liar and broke up with him. The chef had caused him to loose both his job and his girlfriend, which lead him to attack. But the chef, who has made through surgery, decides not to press charge against Kamaya because before all this they used to be friends. Kamaya is emotional over it.

Afterwards, Haibara rubs mascara off of her eye, and Conan sees that the smeared mascara makes her face look like that of the child Mary that Masumi is hiding.
<spoiler>
Yusuke Kuchiki murdered Nakatsu because the latter had derided his latest effort in taking an actual UFO picture; the trigger for the murder was that Nakatsu suggested that he could submit even a picture of a fake UFO. Kuchiki used a solar balloon - a black, cylindrical plastic bag which floats if the air inside is warmed sufficiently - as the murder weapon, cutting off Nakatsu's breathing and forcing him into the concrete patch. Following Nakatsu's demise, Kuchiki let the balloon float away into the nearby park, where it eventually ended up in one of its trees, and then dropped himself onto his own deepened footprints (which would have betrayed his perpetration), erasing them. He merely concocted the "alien murderer" story in order to ward suspicion off himself.

However, Kuchiki committed a number of mistakes which eventually lead to his arrest:
*In order to faciliate his plan, he had practiced the disposal of the murder weapon long beforehand, leading to Hina's purported UFO sighting. The black practice balloon and several book about physics, in which the solar balloon effect was described, were found by Conan in Kuchiki's cupboard during the house search.
*The fact that Kuchiki had pulled his hood over his head despite the warm summer season, in order to prevent his hair from getting stuck in the hardening concrete.
*That he did not post his alleged "alien encounter" on the Internet, despite him being such an UFO fanatic, because he did not want anyone to search for and find the "UFO", which was still stuck somewhere in the park.
*The fact that, following the attempt at Natsuko Shibuya's life, security cameras were installed in the park, rendering Kuchiki unable to retrieve the balloon without being seen. The traces of Nakatsu's saliva and Kuchiki's fingerprints on the plastic would provide the crucial evidence of his murder act.
Conan folded the sheet of paper into a shape of a crane in two ways. The paper then revealed the hint "root five" and "root three", in which the password were 22360679 and 17320508 respectively. When the second password was successfully entered, the computer's webcam revealed the envelope was in Yumi's breast pocket. It turned out that the old man, being a former pickpocket, stuffed the envelope into Yumi's coat when she entered his house, and adjusted the temperature so cold that Yumi would not take off the coat.
Meanwhile, Shukichi lost the last game and therefore was unable to acquire the seventh Meijin title. He then called Yumi to cancel the proposal. An angry Yumi then shredded the marriage registration form into pieces, shouting to him so that he would try to get the seventh Meijin title the next time. However, Yumi was unaware that the title match only occurs once a year.
Kohji was mentioned by Shukichi to Yumi Miyamoto on the phone. Shukichi says that he respected Kohji, and Kohji's motto was "one should stick with one's original plan". After Shukichi and Yumi's talk, Haibara asks Conan whether he knows the name Kohji Haneda. Conan answers that Kohji was a talented shogi player, but he died under mysterious circumstances when he went to the United States to participate in a chess tournament. Haibara recognizes the name Kohji Haneda as one that was on the list of people killed by APTX 4869.
At Agasa's resident, Conan and Haibara make research on Haneda Kohji. They learn that 17 years ago, he went to USA for a chess competition, but he was murdered in his hotel room. His room was left in a mess and cause of death is unknown. In another room in the same hotel, another murder took place. The victim was Amanda Hughes, a wealthy American with contacts in the FBI and CIA. She was a fan and an acquaintance of Haneda, and it was proved that she had visited him in his hotel room as her finger print were left on tea cups and other thing in the room. Like Haneda the cause of her death is unknown. In the pictures from the crime scene Conan spots a broken mirror with letters on it. P-T-O-N. Haibara thinks it's a part of a message PUT ON MASCARA, and explains that a cosmetic firm would give such mirrors along with products. Her sister had one, that was inherited from their mother. But it's unclear why Haneda would have such a mirror in his room. Haibara guess that Kohji Haneda was murdered because of his connection with Amanda Hughes.
<spoiler>
The culprit is Kazunori Senba.

Upon realizing the victim's dying message on the glass cup is very similar to the missing letters on the mirror in Kohji Haneda's room, Conan and Subaru each rearrange the missing letters and discover Haneda's dying message:

<!--Changing this to the way it was phrased in the text spoilers translation until we actually have the chapter to confirm -->
Since the dying message was "P T O N", the answer to it must contain all of the missing letters of "U MASCARA"<br>
PUT ON MASCARA - P T ON = U MASCARA <br>
U MASCARA - ASACA (for "Asaka" in English) = U M R<br>
Which can be rearranged to make RUM<br>
making the answer "ASACA RUM"
2) While Conan's suspicions are usually correct, Rum's identity is not even close to certain because there is no corroborating evidence other than Kohji's dying message. Even if Conan is correct, that doesn't override the spoiler problem in reason 1.
Soul Detective Murder Case
863-864
File 951 - The Soul Detective
Conan believes that the bodyguard Asaka was the black organization member Rum. The website with the information about the murder has been taken down. Then Kogoro gets a phone call from a TV-producer who invites Kogoro to a talk-show with the Soul Detective Gaito Hotta, who claims that he is going to solve the Koji Haneda murders by calling Koji Haneda's spirit. Conan joins along with an excuse of wanting to eat in the restaurant in the hotel, where a meeting with Hotta is going to take place.
File 952 - In the Suspicious Next Room
File 953 - As If Connecting with a Demon in the Darkness
<spoiler>

The culprit is Sanpei Kokuri. The motive was that Hotta used his late sister's corpse for his show. A few years ago Kokuri's sister committed suicide in the mountains due to a break-up. But her body was never found. Later Hotta was making a show in the mountain (most likely in connection with a missing person case, that Conan and Kogoro discussed in the taxi) and 'found' the body claiming to have 'felt' it's spirit. Kokuri realized that Hotta must have found his sister's body a long time ago, but instead of reporting it to the police, he had buried it to use it in his show. So he killed Hotta in revenge for having humiliating her.

Masumi calls Mary "Mama", indicating that she is her mother.

The only information that the victim had was that he believed Asaka to be a woman. He was going to pretend that he had summoned Kohji's spirit and have it say that a woman was going to kill him. The culprit said that someone saw Asaka holding "that small mirror". Mary consider that detail as 'boring'. Mary is not willing to trust Conan, stating that he isn't the same boy they met, and she orders Masumi to switch hotel.

Conan considers that if Asaka is Rum, then perhaps what Haibara said about being feminine refers to looking girly on the outside but strong like a man on the inside. If Rum had been a bodyguard 17 years ago, then they must be old now. Conan also ponders the possibility that Mary is Rum after having shrunken, being girly yet strong and older than she looks.

Later, Gin and Vodka discuss about the murder case and The Case of Kohji Haneda. Gin comments that Rum screwed up in that case, in fact Gin is intrigued that Kogoro went to investigate the murder case and stick his nose in the Organisation's matter. Gin says " It's like encountering a demon in the darkness, if that guy is the demon we should finish him off while he sleeps".
Fumie admits she killed the two victims because Charles Abel was her husband and the two didn't save him back then. Heiji also reveals that Hajime is the son of Fumie and Charles.
Momiji Ooka is a Kyoto High School second year student who believes Heiji Hattori is her future husband.

Background
Momiji Ooka is a second-year student from Kyoto High School and a champion of Hyakunin Isshu karuta. Her family is likely wealthy since she has a butler. Momiji claims Heiji Hattori 'proposed her when they were little' and thus believes that they will be romantically involved in the future.

She was once part of an elite karuta association called Nagoro-kai. She was the greatest student of the group's founder, Nagoro Shikao. However, after the group was disbanded she joined another association called the Satsuki-kai.

Momiji appears to be an extremely competent detective, as she saw through a trick merely based on a sound she heard in a phone call with her butler, Muga Iori, before Conan, Heiji or Bourbon did. Later, Muga says that her deduction was great as usual, implying that she regularly solves cases and also says that Heiji's great deductive skill was to be expected from the person that Momiji chose as her partner.

Momiji is involved in the plot of Movie 21 which will center around Heiji and Kazuha's romance. She is shown crying in the movie artwork. The trailer of the movie shows her in an uta-karuta tournament and introducing herself as "Heiji's fiancé", plus there's a picture of her and Heiji's younger selves making a pinky swear.

<!--The teaser trailer shows falling momiji leaves.-->

Personality
Momiji has a close personal interest in Heiji's cases as he makes the news. For some reason, she believes Heiji will be her future husband, despite his feelings for Kazuha. The trailers for the 21st movie imply that she and Heiji did meet as children and apparently made a promise.

Momiji is also extremely smart, especially in regards to catching details that others miss. When Muga Iori informed her via phone some details about a case Heiji was working, Momiji actually caught other signals that Muga himself had missed and used them to reach a correct deduction that would greatly help Conan and Heiji. Muga also implies that Momiji engages in her own detective work at times, as she is no stranger to making such deductions.

Momiji seems to be very girlish and fond of taking some degree of care in her appearance. She had pierced ears and small earrings, and her nails are seen painted in intricate patterns. Momiji also has a notably larger bust size than other girls in the series, flustering Heiji in their first meeting in Movie 21, making flat-chested Masumi jealous and baffled when she first sees Momiji, and leading Okita to simply referring to Momiji as "Boobs" in a conversation with Ran.

Finally, Momiji is a champion in the famous card game Hyakunin Isshu Karuta, a game that Kazuha is also proficient in. The movie plot takes place as both she and Kazuha are getting ready for a karuta tournament.
Movie 21: The Crimson Love Letter
Relationships
Heiji Hattori
Momiji and Hattori made a promise years ago which she still remembers which was revealed to be that Heiji proposed to her. She immediately recognized him but Heiji at first didn't. She has a love interest for Heiji and even calls him her "future husband". Because of this, Momiji and Kazuha despise each other because of their love interest for Heiji.

Muga Iori
Iori is Momiji's butler and loyal servant. She values that he approves of Heiji as her future husband.

Soshi Okita
Momiji and Okita are classmates. While talking to Ran, Momiji is annoyed at the mere mention of Okita, though she is willing to deliver a message from Ran to him. When he later comes over to the crime scene with some kendo buddies to hunt down tengus, Momiji only has sarcastic comments and further annoyance to offer. In turn, Okita doesn't want Momiji to learn of the girl he has a crush on, fearing he would never hear the end of it if she heard of his crush. Somewhat rudely, Okita only refers to Momiji as "Boobs" in a conversation with Ran, in reference to her overly large breasts.

Name origin

Momiji and Hattori made a promise years ago which she still remembers .

Name origin
Her name Momiji means "red leaves" and her surname Ooka means "large hill".
Situation
A bombing case at Nichiuri TV in autumn. The Satsuki Cup, which crowns the winner of Japan's Hyakunin Isshu, is currently being filmed inside the facility. The incident results in a big commotion and, while the building is burning to ashes, the only people left inside are Heiji and Kazuha. They get rescued just in time by Conan, who rushes to the scene. Both the identity and purposes of the bomber are unknown.

While confusion takes over due to the explosion, Conan meets a mysterious beautiful girl who claims she is "Heiji's fiancée". Her name is Momiji Ooka and she is the high school champion of the karuta game from Kyoto Senshin High School. As fate would have it, Kazuha is going to face Momiji in the Hyakunin Isshu, so she begins to train with the help of Heiji's mother, Shizuka, who is a skilled karuta player.

At the same time, in a Japanese house in Arashiyama, Kyoto's outskirts, the reigning Satsuki Cup champion is murdered. Pictures of the crime scene reveal Momji's presence. Additionally, several karuta cards were spread around the victim.

Conan and Heiji, along with the Osaka and Kyoto police departments, begin their investigation on the Satsuki Cup and the related murder case. As the inquiry goes on, they come across a secret connected with the Hyakunin Isshu.
Case

Valkyrie is one of the martial artists in DCW. She joined on 25 November 2011 and is one of the inactive posters. Valkyrie is a known AiCon fan.

Appearances
She is usually seen in a simple top, usually long sleeve, a pair of jeans and a baseball jacket. The only time she wears a skirt is when she's in school which is part of the uniform. When she does wear a dress, she tends to wear darker colours. She rarely wear heels but she can run in them. She likes wearing her hair down and ties it up only for school or when she's eating.

Hobbies
She likes to sing and dance especially hiphop. She loves to exercise and she often complains that she didn't exercise enough when she didn't get her usual two hours. She writes fanfiction and her handle is RavenShooter.
She also draws but very rarely. Her handle in deviantart is RavenKnight1412.

Roseburg Kingdom
The Kingdom that Queen Rose, Prince MK and Himitsu Keeper Rin created. It is a fictional kingdom where the royal family and others belong in.

The Royal Family:

Empress: HMRE,Shim Cheon Minri

Name history
AiXConan4ever
Her first display name. She's a major AiCon fan and wanted to show it off to DCW.

Valkyrie
Changed it after she managed to get 750 posts. She likes the Norse Mythology hence the name.

Personality
Ultimately crazy. She loves yoghurt so much that she'll get happy the moment she receives a cyber-yoghurt from someone. She rarely gets upset but no one knows if that's her true personality or not. She had only once shown her depressed side but that didn't last long as she was cheered up immediately by Whispers who is now a good friend of hers. Her randomness is unmatchable and whenever she feels mad or irritated, she kicks someone or something. She can be serious at times but it never lasts as her playful personality comes back as soon as it disappears.

Martial Arts
Everyone knows that she's a martial artist. Living in a dangerous place, she had picked up fighting from an early age. She learned Taekwondo at the age of three and is still learning it.

Apart from Taekwondo , she had learned:

Wushu

Silat

Jiujitsu

Wing Chun

Aikido

Muay Thai

However, she only learned Wushu, Silat and Taekwondo officially. She had won many competitions for these three. She also know others but do not wish to publicise it.

Relationship Analysis
Meitantei Kaitou
Her little brother in DCW as well as her partner in crime. He is also the Prince of Roseburg and she is very loyal to him as the result. She loves him alot and they talk often. They always kick each other for the fun of it. In the earlier times, they had fun role-playing as thieves who steals food from supermarkets and are still running away from the FBI and the CIA. Currently, they are still in Mars. Details unknown.

They love exhanging their favourite food. She always give him chocolate or chocoheart(which is choco with heart) and he will give her yoghurt or yogheart. She talks to him the most as he is often on DCW.

Whispers
Whispers is Valkyrie's crazy sister and queen. They met around the same time Valkyrie met Detective Rohit and Meitantei Kaitou and are still close. They are always talking crazy and they once said that if they ever go to a Mental Institute, they wish to share the same room.

They are still talking alot and still are as crazy as before. Whispers is Valkyrie's Queen and Valkyrie is very loyal to her and the Unknown King.

Detective Rohit
Valkyrie's good friend in DCW. She absolutely love teasing him and she calls him 'Zombie-niisan' as he once told her that his friends calls him zombie. She always thought that he looks like Doctor Watson as his profile picture is Doctor Watson from the movie Sherlock Holmes. She talks to him often and wishes she still could but he's busy as well. The last time he was in DCW was on 25 December and he still has not returned due to unknown reasons.

Cindy-chen
Valkyrie's little sister in DCW. They always team up in spamming or killing in DCW. The first time they paired up was to attack Kid the Phantom Thief who kept denying the truth that the two girls are way more awesomer than him. After that, they hit it off splendidly; spamming Heksu and xXUntitled-user. They also talk on Gmail chat to get to know each other better. Now they are already aiming at their next target- Kaze-rei.

Shim Cheon Minri
Shim Cheon Minri is Valkyrie's twin and Romanian teacher. She is also the Empress of Roseburg and as usual, Valkyrie is really loyal to her as a result. They met when Valkyrie wanted to learn Romanian and Kanna-chan(as what Valkyrie calls her) offered to teach her. She is also the big sister of Meitantei Kaitou Kid and had once paired up to hug their little brother to death. They rarely talk now and Valkyrie wish that they could talk again.

Kaze-rei
Valkyrie's cousin in real life and on DCW. They are the same age and always quarrel. According to Kaze-rei, he loves seeing his cousin go red with fury. He finds that she is very cute when she does that. However, Valkyrie thinks that he is an annoying brat and often kicks him. He has confirmed that her kicks hurt but showed no desire to stop her from kicking him.

Although they are the same age, Kaze-rei always calls her his 'baby cousin'. Well, it is true that Valkyrie is younger than him by a month,7 days,3 hours and 21 minutes younger than him. If he is not calling her 'baby cousin', he's calling her 'princess' much to the displeasure of Valkyrie. In DCW, they talk in Russian or Greek so that no one could understand their quarelling however, Kaze-rei's command of Russian and Greek is limited.

Now Kaze-rei is in a boarding school overseas and Valkyrie misses him greatly. He promised that he would return and she is currently holding him to that promise.

Accept Chicken
A new addition to Valkyrie's family. It was a little sudden but Valkyrie didn't care. Tori-chan is now Valkyrie's twin and she hopes that they will be closer in the future.

The Banana Assassin
Valkyrie talks to him often and they are pretty close. They share many secrets but AL(TheBananaAssassin) reveals it sometimes much to her annoyance. She likes teasing him with provocative dances which he dislikes. They are both Muslims so they sometimes share their thoughts about Islam. They had a major fight once but was resolved after Kaze-rei talked to both of them. After that fight, they have forgiven each other and are now friends again.
