Part 1
After Kogoro and Conan take down a would-be bank robber, they head off to Kogoro's 15-year class reunion with Ran. Kogoro's old friends were all on the state-winning Judo team together, but when the beautiful Yumi Horikoshi turns up in her room dead of an apparent suicide, the fun is abruptly ended.
Kogoro's class reunion continues, but all the catching up has finally caught up to the classmates leaving one of them dead! Is the killer still among them, and if so, can Conan apprehend him in time? Everyone's a suspect in this exciting episode of Detective Conan!
Resolution
<spoiler>
The killer is Kazushi Nakamichi. He and Yumi had been dating for years yet Yumi refused his marriage proposals; however, as soon as he got engaged to the daughter of his boss, Yumi got so jealous that she started blackmailing Nakamichi with private photos that she threatened to send to his fiancé.

The school reunion was supposed to be the last time they'd see each other; Nakamichi took the photos from Yumi's purse, then shot her in the head (with the gun that had been missing in the bank robbing case, which he stole) so she wouldn't ruin his married life, and tricked everyone (except for Conan, and later Kogoro) into thinking that Yumi had commited suicide, taking also advantage of how Yumi had mentioned that she did want to kill herself due to depression and her really bad economic situation. Unfortunately, what Nakamichi didn't count on was accelerated rigor mortis, caused by exercising before dying; he played ping-pong with Yumi before killing her, but had to leave the room to make up an alibi when Conan and Ran were drawing close. Because Yumi held a ping-pong racket with her index finger pointing out, it was impossible to move it around the trigger of the gun once rigor mortis settles in.
</spoiler>

Manga to anime changes
List of differences between the manga and anime
* The manga starts off at the reunion during the moment where Conan and Ran are bathing. The anime starts before the reunion is held with Conan and Ran trying to convince Kogoro to take them. During which a robbery takes place with Kogoro and Conan pursuing the robber. Kogoro is saved when Conan kicks the gun away from the robber. Afterwards, Kogoro, Conan, and Ran meet with Yumi who hopes to see all of them at the reunion. Meanwhile the culprit sneaks onto the scene to steal the gun used by the robber (though the culprit's not revealed until Part 2).

Part 1
The Detective Boys go to the police station who are trying to figure out who robbed a nearby bank. The man who owns the bank phones his wife, then gives the phone to one of the officers. Suddenly, the woman screams and she is then found dead in her house with a wound from a knife. Conan thinks that these two cases are related - did the robbers kill the wife because she recognized one of them? He sees the man smiling at his wife's dead body.
Resolution
<spoiler>
The killer is Keizo Masuo. Knowing his wife's daily routine, he set a knife hidden in a bookshelf and tied it to his wife's exercise bike. The string was wound around the pedal and would eventually pull the knife from the shelf, stabbing Kayo in the process. Once they arrived at the scene of the crime, Keizo instructed Takagi and Sato to check upstairs while he went to the living room where Kayo's body is to eliminate the evidence. To establish an alibi, Keizo called his wife from the police station and had her talk to Takagi.

The bank robbery was actually set up by Keizo, who was forced to set it up due to his wife's lavish lifestyle. The bank robbery would have gone smoothly had it not for Kayo being there during the robbery. After being taken hostage, Kayo recognized one of the robbers. Keizo eventually killed her out of fear that she would reveal the identity of the robber, who would in turn reveal Keizo as the mastermind behind it.
Situation
After participating in the opening ceremony, Conan, Agasa, Ran, and the Detective Boys are enjoying the view from the observation deck of the 635-metre tall Bell Tree Tower. Suddenly, a bullet breaks through a window and strikes a man's chest, causing everyone to panic. Conan stays calm and uses the zoom function on his tracking glasses to follow the path of the bullet to its source. At the other end, Conan spies a black shadow. "But sniping from so far away is impossible, it can't be--!" Conan and Masumi Sera pursue the fleeing sniper on Masumi's motorcycle, but the chase takes a violent turn when the suspect attempts to blow up police patrol cars. Even the FBI get involved in the chase, but the culprit and the mysteries of the sniping end up vanishing into the ocean.

The investigation turns up a connection to the special United States Navy squadron, the Navy SEALS and other former US military officers working in Japan. However, the first sniping was just the beginning; as more people are shot, the citizens of Tokyo panic! What is the meaning of the rifle case and dice left behind? As his investigation progresses, Conan soon finds himself in the sniper's crosshairs, only to be saved by Masumi who intervenes and takes the bullet in his stead. And, in the background, Subaru Okiya begins to make his move...
When Sonoko gets all hyperexcited at Kaito Kid's next notice, Makoto goes to her uncle Jirokichi to safeguard the gem Kid is after to prove his worth to Sonoko. When Jirokichi hears Makoto has NEVER lost a fight, he uses him to guard the Green Emperor gem. Kid accepts the challenge, and gets close to the gem by posing as Sonoko.
When Azusa tries to find the owner of the boy Calico cat Taii, three people claim ownership: an elderly woman, a freeter, and a company president. The woman learns her cat is a girl from Conan; the freeter is a con-man because a calico male is a 1/1000 find valued between 1 and 20 million Yen; the company president, Teishi Masuko, is the real owner as the cat remembered him as he used the moving service from the refrigerated truck where the kids first found Taii. When the kids go visit Mr. Masuko, he had received a head injury from an assault. Takagi and Sato investigate, and Takagi let slip the two slept together.

The Detective boy later meet Makabe, a boy with a new game they all like, so he invites them over. Conan finds a dead man next door to Makabe, and Takagi and Sato are called in. Sato tells Takagi that she lost something because of him, and he says he will take responsibility (him believing it is because they slept together she is pregnant). Meanwhile, Yumi and Naeko eavesdrop on the conversation between the two, both believing Miwako to be having Takagi's child- which Yumi spreads over HQ infuriating all the men. It turns out Sato lost a pin she normally wears when she and Takagi were after a suspect, only to find it in his pants pocket- meaning she isn't pregnant.}}
|summary=Conan, Ran, and Sonoko head to a cabin in the woods with Sera to meet some of her brother's old friends to solve a mystery. Along the way, they saw a woman dressed in all red hiding but vanished when seen. When they arrive they meet Tamami Minegishi, Sumika Kawana, Masaie Hakuya, and Jinsuke Ninda. Ran mentions the woman in all red from earlier, and everyone panics believing her the killer, the Red Woman- from her blood soaked coat- who killed their friend Satoko in the nearby bog 15 years earlier; since then, strange things have happened at the villa, so Sera was asked by her brother to investigate. Masaie is later found murdered in the bath tub, and Yui Uehara responds to the scene and concludes Masaie was bludgeoned and drowned. Everyone says it was the Red Woman, but Uehara assures them it can't be since her death was confirmed 15 years ago along with Satoko's in the bog, her name was Komayo Takeno. The murder weapon is a dumbbell, and Sera noticed salt in the tub, so Conan and Sera confirm their deductions when a blackout occurs and Sumika is attacked by the 'Red Woman', leaving both detectives confused. Uehara learns Sera spent 3 years in the US; she returned to Japan and in her head says "to meet the wizard once more" while looking at Conan. Inspectors Kansuke Yamato and Taka'aki Morofushi (Komei) look into the original Red Woman case by talking to the original officer on the case.

Reviewing both Satoko's and the Red Woman's deaths, Satoko was found with a red coat of the 'Red Woman', while she wore beige earlier that day. Yamato calls to warn Uehara of a danger in the woods, but the call dies from a storm. Conan and Sera deductions prove Sumika was the one who killed Masaie and hid him in the tub. By using a bat and a fan to create the sounds of a vacuum to sound like Masaie was upstairs, he was already dead. Conan also shows that tomatoes don't float unless salt is mixed with the water, so she salted the water to create an alibi. Sera also points out that she was the woman in red they saw on the way to the cabin as she handed Sera the photos from earlier to investigate, without hesitation while the others thought she was a boy at first. She killed Masaie as he had Satoko play the Red Woman for a prank, and she fell into the bog and died. The woman who attacked Sumika appears(Shinobu Kagawa, the mistress of the man killed by the Red Woman, attacked Sumika dressed as the Red Woman), but Yamato and Morofushi arrive and take her away. Conan later finds Sera's phone and a young girl with Akai eyes is with her in the shot.

Following their return to Beika, Sera explains to Ran and Sonoko that a good friend of her dad's is paying for her stay at her hotel. Conan silently questions the photo of the little girl with Sera since she said her only other siblings are her deceased and second brothers. They visit her hotel and run into a romance novelist, Hiura, writing his latest book, and his assistant, Chiaki Minazuki, is murdered. Immediately, Conan and Sera see its the novelist and prove he used his suitcase to stuff her in after strangling her. He killed her because he thought she was trying to extort money and fame from him. She was the real original author when she was much younger and sent a coded message in the title to tell him that she loved him with a play on words with the book title. After Hiura is arrested, Conan's bug on Sera is destroyed and the little girl from Sera's photo comments on Conan still having a long way before earning her trust. Sera is then told to say, should she be asked, that the little girl is her little sister from "outside the domain".
