The necklace along with other valuables will be on display at a museum where people are sure the Phantom will strike. The Phantom left a coded letter to Sonoko's dad and its the first clue.<br /> <br /> After decoding the letter, Conan goes to meet the Phantom Thief face to face at a rooftop of a hotel. He lights a firework hoping that the cops would come and arrest Phantom but to his surprise Phantom imitates the captains voice (via voice changer) and calls all of the captains men to the rooftop. Just when it looks like the Phantom is cornered he escapes with a blast bomb but before he leaves theres another note and another clue.<br /> <br /> This time the note states that he will board a ship that is carrying the Black Star. While last time was a test run this time he will actually steal the Black Star. To try and prevent this Selma devises a plan. She has given all the guests a fake Black Star replica in hopes that Kairo Kid won't be able to figure it out before the cruise ends. Serena can't find her sister so she calls her and finds out that her sister and dad are still at home. This means that the Samuel they just saw had to be the Kaito Kid in disguise.<br /> <br /> Selma brings in a magician to put on a show but Kaito Kid then drops another letter. Fake Black Stars start exploding and the guests start panicking. Thats when he steals the real Black Star which Selma was wearing the whole time. He then reveals that only Rachel had the opportunity to steal the black star and that Rachel is the phantom in disguise all along. Phantom still tries to continue his act by saying theres no way that he would know which star was the real one. However Selma gave away the answer when she described the pearl to richard as having a peacock color (her middle name is peacock). Also the way she handled the pearl and the fact that it was duller due to age. This is why he didnt steal it at the museum cause that one was shiny making it a fake. Phantom thief comes clean and hands conan back the pearl after conan destroys the phone so he couldnt pull the same trick again. Conan reveals that phantom escaped last time by disguising himself as a cop and blending in. <br /> Phantom then tells conan that he took rachels clothes and she might freeze outside in the lifeboat (where he hid her) being naked. He drops another blast bomb and escapes. Conan decides to go to rachel instead fearing she would die but finds out Phantom never took her clothes. Before the event on the ship Rachel had her dress dry cleaned and the guy who picked up the dress was the phantom. The switch on the burner had poison on it which rubbed off on his thumb. When he returned to count his bills he locked the doors and windows. The killer knew that Hyde licked his finger to separate the bills so that was how Hyde poisoned himself. The killer was Allison Summer. When the police came Allison used bleach to wipe the burner switch clean and Conan used iodine to prove that her handkerchief was soaked in bleach. Her boyfriend had borrowed money from Hyde but couldn't pay it back so he hung himself. He took the loan so that Allison could have a heart operation. So when the elevator went down it first turned on the light then ripped off the tape from the window so to the observers at the bottom it looked like someone was moving in the room. She wanted to avenge Irby Korbson who she knows was killed by harnison. Irby got the part of Jinnai couple of years back so Harnison decided to kill him by telling to do a stunt without a stunt man.
