Kogoro's detective agency receives a mysterious phone call. Someone on the other end warns about a bomb and leaves behind a code, "The Boy in Blue and The Blue Zebra, the rain from above ..." After that, a car exploded in front of Mouri Detective Agency.

If Conan can decipher the riddle, he can stop the bomb. An adventure begins for Conan and the Detective Boys, taking place at a soccer match between Hideo Akagi of the Tokyo Spirits and Ryusuke Higo of Big Osaka.

Conan solves the first riddle and finds the bomb planting on the electronic scoreboard of Touto Stadium. He manages to inform the police to evacuate the fans on the Spirits side before the bomb explodes, thus leaving no casualties. However, only two weeks later, another threatening letter was sent to Mouri Kogoro's residence, announcing the bomber has installed bombs in all the stadiums and will explode at the end of the matches, unless certain conditions are satisfied. This time, no evacuation or bomb defuse attempts are allowed.

The police and Conan solve the second code and inform the ten strikers of the teams to perform the secret action the culprit has demanded. Thanks to that, they successfully defuse the bombs in nine stadiums, and apparently the activation signal in the National Stadium is malfunctioned. Meanwhile, the police, led by Shiratori, investigates a potential suspect, Keiichirou Motoura. He has a clear motive for bombing: his son, Tomofumi, dies on the way to the hospital, where the ambulance carrying him was blocked by Mouri Kogoro for two minutes, and Motoura carries the crime out of revenge for his son. Motoura, while being angry at Mouri, denies that he install the bombs.
Resolution
The culprit
<spoiler>The true criminal is Kazumasa Nakaoka. His motive is revenge for the death of Tomofumi Motoura, son of soccer coach, Keiichirou Motoura. Back when he was still able to play soccer, he met Tomofumi and the two became friends when Tomofumi begged to learn soccer from Kazumasa. Despite having a weak body, Tomofumi insisted on learnig to play the game which deeply moved Kazumasa. However, after Kazumasa's bike accident, which left him injured and unable to play, the two lost contact. A few years later when Tomofumi was in the 4th grade, the two met again with Tomofumi playing on his school's soccer team. Despite making it onto the soccer team however, Tomofumi never participated in any of the games because of his weak body. When he was given the chance to play during a game, Nakaoka made him a promise that the two would celebrate if Tomofumi made a goal, which he managed to do. On the day that Nakaoka went to celebrate with Tomofumi, he was told by his mother that Tomofumi had died in an accident coming home from practice one afternoon. This left him deeply distraught and upon learning from Tomofumi's father that the ambulance that was carrying Tomofumi to the hospital was stopped by a mob of people during a soccer match, Kazumasa grew bitter and resentful. Especially so after learning that a drunk Kogoro was the head of that very mob, at which point he decides to spend the next few years plotting revenge. Conan deduces that Nakaoka has installed bombs on ten stadiums, save the National Stadium where he achieves his high in his soccer career, luring Kogoro to Touto Stadium and planning commit suicide with Kogoro. Nakaoka points out that Conan's deduction contains a big flaw.</spoiler>

The case
<spoiler>Nakaoka explains that the bomb is also installed in National Stadium, but will explode at 5.50, 35 minutes later than other stadiums, and the key to defuse the bomb at National Stadium actually stays at Touto Stadium where he is standing. In one of his riddles, he reveals he's searching for an 11th striker that can end his revenge; otherwise, the bombs set in each of the stadiums will detonate, taking with them, the thousands of people attending the matches. He originally plans for it to be Kogoro; however Conan shows up instead after deciphering the code. With the help of Ayumi, Mitsuhiko, Genta and Haibara, Conan manages to deactivate the bomb despite being at a disadvantage. Nakaoka realizes that Conan was eleventh striker he was searching for.</spoiler>
Trivia
* Starting from this movie, the movie was produced by V1 Studio, one of TMS Entertainment production studios.
* This is the only movie where they include a Bonus File that ties into the plot of The Eleventh Striker.
* The movie was made as a collaboration work for J.League 20th anniversary. The movie production was possible because of the friendship between Conan producer Michihiko Suwa and Kazuaki Iwasada, the public relations manager of the J.League, who is a fan of Detective Conan himself. Iwasada was the one to convince Suwa and TMS to make a movie about football.
:* The movie is also a commemorative work for the 90th anniversary of Shogakukan.
* According to Suwa, the stadium in the movie was modeled after Toyota Stadium, of the Aichi Prefecture, because Suwa lives in Aichi and it's "the coolest looking stadium there was in Japan".
* Several real life J.League football players provided voice work for animated versions of themselves in the film, including: Kazuyoshi Miura (Yokohama F.C.), Yasuhito Endo (Gamba Osaka), Yasuyuki Konno (Gamba Osaka), Kengo Nakamura (Kawasaki Frontale), and Seigo Narazaki (Nagoya Grampus).
* The names of Tokyo Spirits players are based on real-life players:
** Masami Kihara comes from Masakazu Kihara and Masami Ihara.
** Hidetoshi Nagata comes from Hidetoshi Nakata.
** Kazushi Shimura comes from Kazushi Kimura.
** Tsuyoshi Itazawa comes from Tsuyoshi Kitazawa.
** Shigetatsu Masunaga comes from Shigetatsu Matsunaga.
** Masakiyo Maedono comes from Masakiyo Maezono.
* The movie brought 3.29 billion yen to box office.
* Kazumasa Nakaoka's motorbike is a Suzuki SV 650 S.
* The car that explodes in front of Mouri Detective Agency is a 2001 Dark Blue Toyota Prius I [NHW11].
* In real life, J1 league has only 18 teams. In the movie, two fictional teams are added: Tokyo Spirits and Big Osaka. The movie takes place in the 2011 J.League season, with Tokyo Spirits fighting for the champion, while Big Osaka is struggling at relegation place. The final match between these two teams ended in a draw, saving Big Osaka from relegation, but taking away the champion's trophy from Tokyo Spirits. The winner was Kashiwa Reysol.
* Apart from real-life J.League players, the special guest voice actor for this movie is Mirei Kiritani who voiced Kaoru Koda.
Situation
A day before the opening of the Toto Line, a new line of the Tokyo Metropolitan Subway, governor Yuichiro Asakura receives a bomb threat.
The following day, while the Toto Line is formally opened,Conan Edogawa and the Detective Boys go on a trip with Professor Agasa and Agasa's car passes directly underneath the new subway tracks.
Conan, who heard about the bomb threat, spots explosives tied to the rails as the car passes them. He decides to act immediately, calling the police and using his bow-tie to change his voice to Shinichi Kudo's. With Conan's help, the police are able to divert the new trains away from the bombs and prevent casualties.
Investigating Asakura's background, Conan learns that the governor authorised construction of a dam in Kitanosawa, a town in Niigata prefecture. Kitanosawa was evacuated to make room for the dam, the citizens had to leave their homes and their houses were flooded by the new dam. Since Asakura has been forced to cancel an upcoming trip to Kitanosawa to celebrate the anniversary of the dam, Conan speculates the bomber could have ties to the former town and decides to continue his investigation in Kitanosawa.

Conan, the Detective Boys, Ran Mouri, Kogoro Mouri, and Sonoko Suzuki travel to Kitanosawa and have a fun day in the snow. They befriend a few former citizens, childhood friends Keisuke Yamao, Mizuki Tono, Fuyumi Tachihara, Tahehiko Muto and Shogo Hikawa. The friends were among the citizens that decided to relocate to the new village after Kitanosawa was flooded.

They also explain that they haven't seen each other for eight years because Yamao had to spend several years in prison for accidentally killing Mizuki's younger sister Natsuki in a hit-and-run. Fuyumi's son Toma was in a serious incident a day after Natsuki's death and has been in a coma ever since.
Only Hikawa's footprints are found in the snow so the police initially suspect a suicide. Conan examines the body and finds Hikawa was killed by an electro shocker. The murderer then waited for snowfalls and walked backwards in Hikawa's footprints to make everyone suspect Hikawa was alone. The sun sets, causing a diamond-like dust to appear in the sky and Toma suddenly has a flashback to the day of the accident.
Resolution
<spoiler>Conan catches up with his friends and leads them towards the dam.

He explains that Keisuke Yamao has been responsible for Hikawa's murder and the destruction of the cellphone tower. Yamao was the robber who attacked the jewelry shop in Shinjuku and escaped by car to Kitanosawa. On his way, he accidentally ran over Natsuki and killed her. Toma witnessed the car accident. Yamao kidnapped Toma to avoid having witnesses. Toma spotted the diamonds Yamao stole (which is why he started to remember when he saw the diamond dust in the sky earlier), escaped from Yamao and fell down a cliff, injuring his head and falling into a coma. After losing Toma, Yamao buried the diamonds on a property in Kitanosawa and turned himself in for Natsuki's death. The dam project flooded the village of Kitanosawa, making Yamao unable to search for his bounty after he got out of prison. Therefore, he decided to bomb the dam to continue his search in the remains of the former village. To have more time to search, he had to come up with a reason to delay Governor Asakura's trip to Kitanosawa dam and destroy the cellphone towers to prevent news of the destruction of the dam reaching the rest of the country.
Upon arriving at the dam, Yamao grabs Conan and injures him. Suddenly, Mizuki appears and shoots Yamao.

Upon seeing Mizuki, Toma suddenly remembers the entire accident again. It was Mizuki who argued with her sister and gave Natsuki a shove, causing her to stumble onto the road and being fatally hit by Yamao's car. Mitzuki confesses that she shot at Toma earlier to prevent him from remembering the accident and she claims she did not want her sister to die.

Yamao, having set off the bombs in the dam, forces them to flee. Conan diverges from the group intending to start an avalanche by creating grooves in a steep mountain with his motorized snowboard to divert the flow away from Kitanosawa. He is successful, but his motor short-circuits, causing him to be caught in the avalanche.
He is eventually rescued when Ran calls Shinichi's cellphone causing him to regain consciousness. He alerts the others of his position by deploying a soccer ball from his belt.
In the aftermath, the jewels are recovered, Yamao is arrested again, and Mizuki turns herself in for what she accidentally did to her sister, but she will be soon discharged.</spoiler>
Situation
At the beginning, we find ourselves in a concert hall. Two musicians practice and a woman watches them intently. She takes out her phone to send a text, but as soon as she's finished, an explosion destroys the entire hall.

Somewhere else, an unknown person, looking like "the murderer" (a black silhouette of a man) reads about the explosion on the internet and celebrates, knowing it has brought him closer to "finally having a silent night again".

Conan looks for evidence outside the concert hall while he, as Shinichi, chats to Ran on the phone. He spots an old man wandering in his direction, who bends down and carefully picks up a piano key from the piano that was destroyed in the explosion, storing it in his pocket. Ran tells "Shinichi" that Sonoko got tickets to a rehearsal and a concert at the new Domoto Concert Hall (Sonoko's father provided a lot of funds for the hall) and asks Shinichi to join them, asking if he can't take a night off from his investigation. Shinichi declines and asks Ran to stop meddling. Ran gets angry with him, replying he wouldn't be able to appreciate the music anyway because he's completely tone deaf, unlike his role model Sherlock Holmes. She hangs up before he can reply.

At the rehearsal, Sonoko introduces Ran, Kogoro and the Detective Boys to the artists that will perform at the opening concert for Domoto Concert Hall: Kazuki Domoto, a former famous pianist who now plays the organ; Takumi Fuwa, who used to tune Domoto's piano for him and has now been appointed director of the hall; Hans Müller, a German organ tuner; Genya Domoto, Kazuki's son who is a pianist; Rara Chigusa, a soprano; Shion Yamane, a violinist and Reiko Akiba, a famous soprano singer. The children are delighted to meet Akiba and ask her a lot of questions about music, eventually getting her to agree to help their class choir in a choir competition where they sing the school anthem. Akiba reluctantly agrees because she also attended Teitan Elementary. She immediately tells everyone to leave, telling them "they're interfering with the rehearsal", but it is likely she wanted to take pressure off Shion who seemed rather nervous about having an audience.

Ran confesses to Sonoko that she is still angry at Shinichi. Sonoko recalls that this is by far not the first time and that they didn't speak for a week during their last argument. She wants to comfort Ran, asking her how she and Shinichi made up again that time. Ran says they still walked home from school together even though they didn't speak and stopped when they heard a beautiful voice singing by the river. The song made them forgive each other but Ran can't recall what song it was.

The following day, everyone meets at Teitan Elementary to practice the school anthem together, watched by Akiba. Ran plays the piano. Akiba gives her professional verdict to the choir: Genta was too loud, Mitsuhiko spent more time staring at Ai than singing with emotion, Ai sounds too much like an adult, Ayumi hit every note perfectly and sounded great, while Conan was comfortably the worst singer in the entire choir. Everyone laughs at Conan, who wonders if Akiba has perfect pitch.

Genta has snuck away from the group and taken a thermos flask out of Akiba's backpack, asking her if he can have some of the tea she's got with her. Before she can stop him, he takes a sip from the flask and doubles over in pain.
They rush Genta to the next hospital. A doctor brings him back after his examination and treatment, explaining that there were chemicals mixed in with Akiba's tea which inflamed Genta's throat. Genta will not be able to speak for about four days.

Akiba, Sonoko and the Detective Boys accompany Genta home. Akiba says she wants to speak to Genta's parents about his behaviour, when suddenly a truck comes speeding towards them. They run and try to escape, pursued by the truck. Akiba trips and is about to be run over when a taxi appears and the truck takes an u-turn and drives off. The culprit escapes.
These two victims, together with the two victims from the earlier explosion, formerly belonged to a group called the quarter quintet. Conan decides to keep an eye on Akiba because he feels like he owes her something, but can't explain where he gets that feeling from. Akiba and Conan go for a walk in a nearby forest where Akiba likes to relax on the days before she has a concert. A mystery person with a gun follows them and shoots Akiba, injuring her leg. The unknown attacker pauses for a second too long, allowing Akiba and Conan to escape. Akiba implores Conan to keep this incident to himself as she does not want to miss the concert the next day. As she returns home, Megure, Takagi and Sato wait for her, waiting to speak to her about Hikaru Soma, her former fiancé. Akiba tearfully asks them to be patient, she does not want to be reminded of Soma's death a day before an important concert but she promises the officers she will come and talk to them two days later.

Megure and his officers inform Kogoro about Soma's death, saying the four murder victims and Soma played in a musical quintet together. The four men forced Soma to drink alcohol and directly contributed to his death in a car accident. Megure says this sounds like a possible motive for Akiba and that she should be included among the suspects. Conan wants to know if Soma has any surviving family members who might want to take revenge on the four musicians. Takagi explains Soma's mother died five years earlier and his father's identity and whereabouts remain unknown.
Kogoro has a "theory" of his own. He accuses Genya Domoto of the serial murders, saying Domoto is a fanatic fan of Beethoven and wanted to take revenge on the five musicians because they badly butchered Beethoven's ninth symphony when they got drunk before a concert. Kogoro's "evidence" is Genya's haircut which looks just like Beethoven's hairstyle in ancient paintings. Genya laughs Kogoro's accusations off, saying he inherited his curls from his mother and shows Kogoro a family photo to prove it.

The day of the concert arrives and everyone meets at Domoto Music Hall. Sonoko hands the tickets to her friends, saying she has booked them seats on the balcony and left an extra seat for Shinichi.
After rehearsals, Conan and Reiko decide to speak to Kazuki Domoto because they both heard one of the organ keys producing a strange flat sound. They can't find Domoto anywhere and leave the hall, going downstairs to the lake nearby.
Someone sneaks up behind them and knocks Conan and Reiko out with a branch.
}}

When they come to, they find themselves in a boat on a dam, miles away from the concert hall.

Something explodes near the hall. Since the building is soundproof, no guests or musicians would have heard anything. A second and third explosion quickly follow the first one. The fire brigade arrives and starts putting out the fires caused by the bombs which were planted on all the pillars surrounding the outside facade of the hall in an attempt to seal the hall off from the outside world.

Conan looks around and notices a phone on top of a wall at the far end of the dam. He quickly explains his plan to Akiba, saying that phones work by translating sound chords (a combination of several notes played at the same time) into phone numbers. They therefore have to produce the sounds a phone makes when you dial 1-1-0, the emergency hotline. Akiba and Conan give it a try and Akiba says Conan must have perfect pitch as well. They paddle closer to the wall, Conan uses his ball belt to knock the phone receiver down and Akiba and Conan make the right sounds to dial 110, alerting the police to their whereabouts.

Takagi and Sato pick them up with a helicopter and take them back to Domoto Hall. Conan spots the culprit watching the concert in a VIP box. He quietly explains his findings to Akiba, saying that there must be a bomb in the organ pipe they heard producing an irregular sound earlier. There are 24 bombs in total, 23 on each of the pillars outside and the final one in the organ which is meant to destroy the hall and kill everyone inside. Conan uses his glasses to zooom in on the culprit and says they can't stop the concert because the culprit has a remote detonator in his hand. Akiba asks Conan what she can do and Conan says he needs time.

Akiba quickly warms up, and as the next song begins, she launches into "Amazing Grace", a song that doesn't include the irregular key and keeps everyone safe for another 4 minutes. Domoto, surprised, decides to accompany her on the organ.
Resolution
<spoiler>Conan confronts the murderer on his balcony: Takumi Fuwa.

Fuwa confesses. He killed the four musicians to avenge the death of his son Hikaru Soma, which was, indirectly, caused by his musician colleagues. He says he planted the bombs to get revenge on Domoto, who took away Fuwa's livelihood and his pride when he decided to stop playing the piano and start playing the organ instead. Without his son, his wife and his pride in being a professional piano tuner, Fuwa had nothing left he cared about and he wanted to silence the organ which had begun tormenting him in his dreams.

Fuwa says Conan's deductions about the bombs were right as well. The final bomb is indeed in the concert hall itself. The strange note Conan and Reiko noticed is caused by an air-detecting sensor Fuwa planted into one of the organ pipes with the sensor being connected to the bombs. Each bomb detonated when the key was played on the organ. Since the difference would only be heard by someone who had perfect pitch, Fuwa took every one of them out before the concert to avoid being detected. He injured Soko Kawabe, attacked Reiko Akiba so she couldn't sing and locked Hans Müller up in a storage room.

Fuwa reveals he left the parts of the flute at the murder scenes because he wanted the police to believe the musicians were killed by a serial killer who was after three people, when actually, Fuwa had always planned to kill four.

As Fuwa's confession comes to a close, Domoto improvises on the organ and hits the trigger key for the 24th time. There is no final explosion and Conan explains he already removed the sensor from the organ. Fuwa mock-congratulates him and prepares to detonate the bomb by hand, but just as he wants to press the key, a bullet fizzes past him, knocking the remote out of his hand. Sato had been watching Conan and Fuwa and shot to protect Conan.

Fuwa wants to shoot himself with his gun, taking it out of his pocket, but at this moment, Kazuki Domoto enters the balcony and remorsefully apologises to his friend. He says he didn't tell Fuwa the actual reason he quit the piano to avoid hurting Fuwa's pride. Domoto had noticed Fuwa's hearing and therefore also his fine-tuning of the piano had been deteriorating as he got older, so, to protect Fuwa, Domoto decided to quit the piano in order to avoid hurting his friend. Fuwa breaks down and tearfully surrenders to the police.

On their way home, Ran suddenly hears Amazing Grace being played on the violin in the wood nearby. She follows the sound but only finds Conan with a violin. Conan explains Shinichi was there just minutes ago, he played the song on his violin to apologise to and make up with Ran just like that day years ago.

Ran and Conan meet up with Akiba a day later, having remembered that Akiba was the singer they heard when Ran and Shinichi made up after their argument in middle-school. Akiba says Amazing Grace was Hikaru's favourite song because it was a song of forgiveness. On the anniversary of Hikaru's death, Akiba always goes to the river bank where they used to spend a lot of time and sings the song for him. The song made her decide to not pursue revenge on Hikaru's former colleagues.

Conan wants to know why Ran knew it was Shinichi who played the violin after the concert. Laughing, she replies Shinichi has "a strange habit" when he plays and she immediately noticed that.
Conan can't figure out what she means and goes to Shinichi's house to practice.</spoiler>
Situation
At the beginning, we find ourselves in a concert hall. Two musicians practice and a woman watches them intently. She takes out her phone to send a text, but as soon as she's finished, an explosion destroys the entire hall.
}}

The same day, Hisao Sone, a violinist at the Domoto Hall, goes paragliding. His glider has been manipulated, someone has cut the fabric several times and it catches fire, causing Sone to plunge to his death in the open sea. Next to the hill from which he took off, the police find the head piece of a flute.

}}

He injured Soko Kawabe, attacked Reiko Akiba so she couldn't sing and locked Hans Müller up in a storage room.

| description = Fuwa locks Hans Müller in one of the lockers of the Music Hall and drugs him to make him unconscious.
}}

Plot
Story
Conan, Heiji, and Kazuha attempt to head to an okonomiyaki restaurant before Conan has to leave Osaka. After getting past a talkative neighbor, a group of students challenging Heiji's deduction abilities, and crossing a busy street, the three run into a woman who asks them to take care of her baby, Kaoru. After the women disappears for a long period of time, Kazuha, while changing the baby's diaper, realizes that the baby wearing female clothing is actually a boy. Conan and Heiji, therefore, deduce that the woman kidnapped the infant.
Resolution
<spoiler> The woman soon returns and explains she found her missing husband, Hikaru, and had to chase him down. Hikaru explains he left their home after learning his Kaoru was not his. Conan and Heiji realize what's going on when the names Hikaru and Kaoru were characters from the book The Tale of Genji. Heiji explains that the Hikaru must have overheard his wife say that in the book, Kaoru is not Hikaru Genji's son. After sorting out the misunderstanding, the three continue on their trip until Conan receives a phone call from Ran telling him they have to leave thirty minutes earlier than expected as Sonoko was mistaken about the time of leaving and thus forces Conan to leave without eating.</spoiler>

Trivia
* This Magic File is a loose parody of the American TV series 24. It shows several elements of 24 being used in the episode, including Heiji's introduction (The following takes place on the next day...), a vague copy of line spoken by Jack Bauer (portrayed by Kiefer Sutherland and dubbed in Japanese by Rikiya Koyama, Kogoro's voice actor) before each episode, and the use of digital clock with the ticking sound to imitate the real-time element used in 24.
Fourteen-year-old Shinichi Kudo practices soccer in Beika Park, being admired by several children who compare him to Hideo Akagi. A man, Koichi Akimoto, interrupts to ask if Shinichi had seen Koichi in the park at 10:00 AM the previous Thursday. Shinichi did not, but he loiters in the park to watch as the man tries to find other witnesses. Koichi is shocked that Shinichi did wait and asks why. Shinichi answers that he is a detective, and notes that two other men in the park are actually two undercover cops watching Koichi. From that display of skill, Koichi asks Shinichi to help clear him of the charge of murdering his grandmother. Shinichi realizes that Koichi is trying to establish witnesses for his alibi, which was that he was drunk and sleeping on a secluded patch of grass in the park, having cancelled a trip to visit his grandmother. With some prodding of his memory, Koichi recalls that when he was in the park before he heard a bark and saw a woman walking by on the other side of a short retaining wall with something black, which he believes was a black dog. Shinichi concludes that if a woman walked a dog that day, she will likely be in the park at the same time on other days. He promises to meet Koichi at Beika Park the next morning to investigate, even though that means skipping class to do so.

Walking to school the next day, Shinichi discusses the case with Ran. Ran mentions she knows a woman who walks her dog every day in the park, but Shinichi is disappointed to learn that her walking route is not visible from where Koichi had been. Ran suggests that Koichi might be clairvoyant to have seen them anyway, but Shinichi strongly protests that such abilities don't exist, otherwise there would be no need for detectives or police to solve mysteries. <spoiler>Shinichi returns to the park the next morning and meets Genta, Ayumi and Mitsuhiko on a routine walk with their pre-school teachers and classmates. The teacher did not see Koichi, but the three kids say that they did see him while chasing a butterfly. Koichi is delighted, but the police refuse to accept witness testimony solely from a trio of three-year-olds. Back at home once again, Shinichi ponders over the mystery of the dog; Yusaku Kudo offers to help but Shinichi insists on solving the case by himself. Yusaku offers Shinichi's violin to him to "help him think", but Shinichi returns it to its case because he says Sherlock Holmes only used his violin to pass the time, not to contemplate cases. As Shinichi does, he realizes that the top half of the case looks very similar to the general outline of a dog—certainly an easy mistake for a hungover, sleepy businessman.

The next day, Shinichi once more meets Koichi and the other two policemen at the park. Shinichi asks Koichi and the taller policeman to lie down on the grass and close their eyes. When he tells them to open their eyes, both men think they see a dog on the other side of the short wall; instead of a dog, however, it turns out to be a woman carrying a guitar case. Shinichi explains that because Koichi heard a dog bark elsewhere, he mistook the case for a dog. Tomomi, the woman with the guitar case, tells the two policemen that she did walk through the park and saw Koichi on that Thursday at 10:00 AM. Koichi is delighted that his name is cleared. Not long after, the policemen receives news about the true killer and they rush off. Koichi gratefully tells Shinichi that Shinichi will become a great detective.

There is still the 'problem', as Shinichi narrates. Ran is still angry with Shinichi. But that day, while walking way back home, they hear "Amazing Grace" sung by Reiko Akiba. This melted the state of tension between them. Shinichi goes on to tell further: "And so, Ran and I ended our week-long fight in the spring of 8th grade. I had no idea the song would figure into a huge case three years later..."</spoiler>
