The culprit is '''Saya Kitami''', and she is actually 29 years old. She used a recording of Sakurako to lure Kyona into opening the door for her. The murder weapon was Kyona Shono's selfie stick, which Saya took to her own apartment. To close Kyona's apartment door and leave the card inside, she used her toy helicopter. Her motive was that she thought Kyona knew she had accidentally killed an old man in a car accident and fled the crime scene, but in fact the only secret Kyona knew was that Saya was actually 5 years older than she claimed to be.

Afterwards, [[Police Organization#Superintendent (Rank 5)|Superintendent]] [[Hyoue Kuroda]] arrives on the crime scene, announces that Superintendent [[Kiyonaga Matsumoto]] has been promoted as [[Police Organization#Senior Superintendent (Rank 4)|Senior Superintendent]], and that he will be taking his place. Conan looks on in shock and Haibara grips his shoulder in fear, as Kuroda asks for Conan's assistance even in his new position.

The mysterious man is revealed by Conan to be a baker. He has been stalking Rei in order to find out how to replicate the sandwiches Rei prepares for the ''Poirot'' customers, after he had once happened to have lunch at the café and found the sandwiches extremely delicious. However, despite all efforts, he has not been able to replicate their unique flavor. Upon learning the motive, and much to the surprise of the Detective Boys, Rei happily teaches the man his unique method of making sandwiches.

Conan and the gang meet Rena Mizunashi, a news caster with a problem that turns out to be a ding dong dash. Kogoro is asked to help news reporter Rena Mizunashi who is worried about a stalker. Every Saturday for two months someone has been ringing her doorbell early in the morning and running away. Conan places a transmitter device outside the door and investigates.

Conan overhears that the Black Organization plan to assassinate a man named '''Yasuteru Domon''', a candidate for Japan's Shuugi-In. Conan, with the help of Jodie Starling, manages to avert the assassination by setting off the sprinklers and thus forces the sniper to abandon their first plan. The Organization regroups and reveals they had a second plan should the first fail. With help from Vermouth who disguised as Kiriko Busujima they will intercept Domon's car at Bein B.

"Bein" B turns out to be Vane B, as as weather vane; The Black Organization will stop Domon's car at Toriya (bird) bridge. Knowing where the Organization is heading, the FBI manages to corner Rena, which results in her being seriously injured. Gin calls the second plan off when he discovers Conan's tracker and suspects Kogoro of planting it. With the boss's permission he, Vodka, Vermouth, Korn and Chianti go Beika city to silence the detective. As the Black Organization members, Korn and Chianti prepare to fire at Kogoro, they are interrupted by Conan kicking a soccer ball into Kogoro's window and Shuichi Akai's sniper shots. Thus, Kogoro is saved at the last second by a double effort from Conan and Shuichi Akai, and the Organization is made to believe the FBI planted the tracker. The Organization escapes, and Rena is hospitalized with the FBI guarding her in her comatose state, while Conan uses Rena's voice to give her an extended holiday, so as to keep Rena's location a secret from the Black Organization. Later that day, Conan tells Haibara that with Rena, they will have a lead on the Black Organization.

==Manga to anime changes==

*The scenes where Chianti and Korn are shown practicing their sniping skill with virtual targets and Vermouth observing Kiriko Busujima at the beginning of the anime episode are not from the original manga.

Conan and the gang meet Rena Mizunashi, a news caster with a problem that turns out to be a ding dong dash. Kogoro is asked to help news reporter Rena Mizunashi who is worried about a stalker. Every Saturday for two months someone has been ringing her doorbell early in the morning and running away. Conan places a transmitter device outside the door and investigates.

Conan overhears that the Black Organization plan to assassinate a man named '''Yasuteru Domon''', a candidate for Japan's Shuugi-In. Conan, with the help of Jodie Starling, manages to avert the assassination by setting off the sprinklers and thus forces the sniper to abandon their first plan. The Organization regroups and reveals they had a second plan should the first fail. With help from Vermouth who disguised as Kiriko Busujima they will intercept Domon's car at Bein B.

"Bein" B turns out to be Vane B, as as weather vane; The Black Organization will stop Domon's car at Toriya (bird) bridge. Knowing where the Organization is heading, the FBI manages to corner Rena, which results in her being seriously injured. Gin calls the second plan off when he discovers Conan's tracker and suspects Kogoro of planting it. With the boss's permission he, Vodka, Vermouth, Korn and Chianti go Beika city to silence the detective. As the Black Organization members, Korn and Chianti prepare to fire at Kogoro, they are interrupted by Conan kicking a soccer ball into Kogoro's window and Shuichi Akai's sniper shots. Thus, Kogoro is saved at the last second by a double effort from Conan and Shuichi Akai, and the Organization is made to believe the FBI planted the tracker. The Organization escapes, and Rena is hospitalized with the FBI guarding her in her comatose state, while Conan uses Rena's voice to give her an extended holiday, so as to keep Rena's location a secret from the Black Organization. Later that day, Conan tells Haibara that with Rena, they will have a lead on the Black Organization.

*The scenes where Chianti and Korn are shown practicing their sniping skill with virtual targets and Vermouth observing Kiriko Busujima at the beginning of the anime episode are not from the original manga.
*In addition, a scene with a shadow looking Rena's apartment, which has been revealed that it was Jodie spying Rena Mizunashi, and a hint that was Kimiwa, found in the adjoining apartment, and that was actually Miwako Takagi was written by Detective Takagi while observed a suspect's girlfriend, both are also exclusive from anime.

Conan and the gang meet Rena Mizunashi, a news caster with a problem that turns out to be a ding dong dash. Kogoro is asked to help news reporter Rena Mizunashi who is worried about a stalker. Every Saturday for two months someone has been ringing her doorbell early in the morning and running away. Conan places a transmitter device outside the door and investigates.

Conan overhears that the Black Organization plan to assassinate a man named '''Yasuteru Domon''', a candidate for Japan's Shuugi-In. Conan, with the help of Jodie Starling, manages to avert the assassination by setting off the sprinklers and thus forces the sniper to abandon their first plan. The Organization regroups and reveals they had a second plan should the first fail. With help from Vermouth who disguised as Kiriko Busujima they will intercept Domon's car at Bein B.

"Bein" B turns out to be Vane B, as as weather vane; The Black Organization will stop Domon's car at Toriya (bird) bridge. Knowing where the Organization is heading, the FBI manages to corner Rena, which results in her being seriously injured. Gin calls the second plan off when he discovers Conan's tracker and suspects Kogoro of planting it. With the boss's permission he, Vodka, Vermouth, Korn and Chianti go Beika city to silence the detective. As the Black Organization members, Korn and Chianti prepare to fire at Kogoro, they are interrupted by Conan kicking a soccer ball into Kogoro's window and Shuichi Akai's sniper shots. Thus, Kogoro is saved at the last second by a double effort from Conan and Shuichi Akai, and the Organization is made to believe the FBI planted the tracker. The Organization escapes, and Rena is hospitalized with the FBI guarding her in her comatose state, while Conan uses Rena's voice to give her an extended holiday, so as to keep Rena's location a secret from the Black Organization. Later that day, Conan tells Haibara that with Rena, they will have a lead on the Black Organization.

*The scenes where Chianti and Korn are shown practicing their sniping skill with virtual targets and Vermouth observing Kiriko Busujima at the beginning of the anime episode are not from the original manga.

<spoiler>The culprit is '''Midori Koyanagi'''. Her motive was her mother, who was formerly a cook working hard at the inn to support her daughter. When Takami Ohno married Bonzo Ohno's son and the inns of the two families were merged as a result, her mother was callously laid off by Bonzo despite her years of dedicated work. Though her dismissal was not her fault, nobody was willing to give her any paid work afterwards, and she died two years later, completely destitute. Next to Bonzo Ohno, Takemi was also one of Koyanagi's targets, but Koyanagi reconsidered after she had seen the injuries on Takemi's hands from her hard work at the inn, which reminded her of her mother, and because she didn't want Kohei to go through the same suffering she did.

In the post-credit segment of the episode, Kazuha and Ran approach Heiji for [[Conan and Heiji, Code of Love|his "confession"]] about his actual feelings for Kazuha, but Heiji claims that they have merely misheard: Instead of "''ore'' no Kazuha" ("my Kazuha"), he had said "''onore''" ("Damn you!"). The reason for Heiji's denial is that - much like the way [[Holmes' Revelation|Shinichi did in London]] - he simply wants to wait for the right place and time to make his actual love confession.

Kazuha naturally reacts to this denial with indignation, but Conan allows himself to have the last laugh. He had erased Heiji's love confession as promised, but had previously allowed his [[Detective Boys]] friends to copy the audio file. And to prove his point, he dials the number of Ai's cellphone, which uses Heiji's exclamation as its ringtone.

Riichi Tengan, a popular ventriloquist wants [[Kogoro Mouri|Kogoro]] to help himself from killing his wife because he had always hallucinations that the doll he had wanted him to killed his wife. Few days later, the apprentice called Kogoro and tell that Kazuko was killed. Afterwards, [[Ran Mouri|Ran]], [[Conan Edogawa|Conan]] and Kogoro go to the house and found the wife lying on the sofa. [[Juzo Megure|Inspector Megure]] confirms that the weapon used at the crime is the "trophy" and the only possible for the crime is the husband Riichi, because his fingerprints was found that the trophy but when Conan and Kogoro merely investigate, they found speakers on the different sides of the house and give it to Inspector Megure. When the forsenics tested it, Inspector Megure spilled out that the apprentice Haruomi had his fingerprints on the speakers, pointing him to be the suspect, but he denied that the speakers were gone missing last week. Later on, the police found out Haruomi's glasses with the victim's blood on it and he turned out to be the major suspect, but he denied and Inspector Megure said that its just a matter of time if he confessed. But Conan has that uneasy feeling that there's something wrong. Is Haruomi really the suspect?

This was all meant to initially cast suspicion on himself, only to have him cleared by both pinning the blame on his apprentice and claiming innocence by reason of his "induced" split personality.

The decisive pieces of evidence are Togawa's glasses Tengan had drenched with Kazuko's blood and then planted inside Togawa's bag. In the process, the glasses had caught some fibers from Tengan's gloves, which were found clinging to the glasses' frame by the forensics. To avoid discovery of the bloodstained gloves, Tengan hid them inside his puppet and later disposed of them. But Conan has deduced their hiding place, and by having it examined, traces of the gloves' fibers with Kazuko's blood and Tengan's sweat were found on the puppet. Before his presentation of the facts, Conan additionally hid two fake gloves on the puppet, making Tengan burst out with an involuntary confession and thus completely shattering his alibi.</spoiler>
