To the Indonesian speaker who sometimes edits from this shared address, please understand that this is an English-language wiki. Adding Indonesian-language information is not helpful. This is an English-language site and people come here to read about Detective Conan in English, not Indonesian. It is also confusing and unhelpful to have a single article written in different languages. So from now on, please do not add information in Indonesian unless it is in the "other languages" section. If you would like Indonesian-language information about Detective Conan, you will have to use another site, a translator, or start your own Indonesian wiki. This wiki simply does not have enough of a non-English userbase to maintain the wiki in other languages. Chekhov MacGuffin talk 16:21, 27 September 2016 (CEST)
- Due to steady Indonesian-language vandalism coming from this shared-by-multiple-people IP address, I may block it at some point to see if I can trick the guy into going away. If you would like to edit when that happens, please create an account. It's easy, the forum has never sent me spam in the 6 years I have been here, and you can always use a throwaway email address to sign up if you like. (And I strongly recommend having a throwaway email address or three for signing up for random online services. Super convenient.) Chekhov MacGuffin talk 21:52, 3 October 2016 (CEST)
There have been several instances of vandalism coming from this IP address, such as this edit here, and here, and here, and here, and here, and . I'd advise anyone who is currently roped in to this shared IP to make some attempt to create an account before any measures get taken against the vandal. --Jimmy-kud0-tv2 (talk) 06:29, 11 October 2016 (CEST)
- Mod here, Jimmy is spot on. This is pretty much the final warning for this IP account. Next incident I see, it's getting the banhammer. I'll allow people from this IP to make accounts even after its banned, but if the vandal starts abusing that priviledge (rare but a possibility) then I'll lock that down and any anonymouses using this IP without accounts already will be out of luck. Thai Spoilers guy
This shared IP address is blocked because it is being used by a persistent Thai user who causes problems by adding spoilers in places where they are not allowed and adds plot summaries in extremely broken and incomprehensible English. He has been warned about a dozen times. Other mods, for a history on the guy check the block list.
- Besides the spoiler violations which were committed on the regular without banning until now, there has been a pretty large amount of other vandalism in the form of random deletions of pictures and sentences and such coming from this IP. If you find yourself using this IP account to make edits, please strongly consider making an account asap because it's likely this IP address will be blocked more often than it is unblocked. Chekhov MacGuffin talk 05:53, 21 November 2016 (CET)
- This is at least the third time one of the users, the Thai guy who adds spoilers and has poor English skills, has hit the same pages with spoilers. The long block duration, even though this is a shared IP, is because this guy is a long term problematic user who has been cumulatively banned for several years for adding spoilers. At this point it is clear that the user is willfully ignoring the rules because he feels like it, because anyone with the slightest ounce of intelligence probably could have stuck the 10 or so talk warnings messages they have received over the years through google translate and figured it out. ไม่มี สปอยเลอร์. คำสั่งห้าม. After the block on this IP expired, that so-called "Thai spoilers guy" went on with vandalism AGAIN, adding gibberish in the form of terrible English on so many pages that I don't even bother counting. It might be a bit troublesome for people who share this IP address (including me), but I believe this should be blocked permanently.--DevlinShad (talk) 16:33, 4 March 2017 (CET)
This is the discussion page for an anonymous user who has not created an account yet, or who does not use it. We therefore have to use the numerical IP address to identify him/her. Such an IP address can be shared by several users.
