Chapter 8

__________

Rum was standing hidden behind a tree. She followed the F.B.I.s’ every action. Then she walked away, calling someone on her phone.

“Shall I begin operation “Extermination”?” asked Rum cold-bloodedly.

“Okay, I will do that,” said Rum after the answer in the phone. Then she entered the big house.

--- Through Hano’s eyes ---

“Should we break in?” asked Hano.

“Yes, let’s just do that. It doesn’t seem like we need any sort of plan,” said Pyre.

“Yeah, no need to waste time,” said Cammy as she began walking closer to the door.

“This is a big house!!!! It’s 100 meters long,” said Aeyra-chan.

“We don’t want to hear about math now,” said Kudo-kun rather irritated.

“Keep your cool, Kudo-kun,” said Conan-kun.

Then the door opened from the inside. A pair of men welcomed us, and asked us what we wanted. Misaki-chan answered that we was looking around the area, because of business related reasons. We were let in.

“Want some coffee?”, asked the first person, then he introduced himself as Harry.

The other man introduced himself as Paul, and told us that a friend of theirs was visiting. His name was apparently Richard. Richard introduced his wife, Kirihara. We all received our coffee, and began drinking. The plan was that I should go to the toilet after a few minutes, and then use the opportunity to look around for Haibara.

“May I be excused,” I said and passed out.

--- Through Misaki-chan’s eyes ---

“Hano!” said Cammy, and hurried over to Hano.

She examined quickly Hano’s body and determined that he only had lost consciousness.

Paul and Harry said that we could stay in the house until Hano felt alright. Then they left us since they had other things to attend to. We decided to split up in three groups. The first group was me, Misaki, Forever Lost and Cammy. We would stay with Hano. The second group was Aeyra-chan, Kudo-kun (Detective Kudo) and Akakata. The third was Edogawa Conan and Pyre. The second and third group would sneak around looking after clues.

--- Through Hano’s eyes ---

Where am I? What is this? It’s so dark. Huh, there’s light over there. Finally, I’m there. What’s this sound? Is someone walking?

“Who’s there,” I shouted and heard an echo.

“It’s a dream Hano,” said a person.

--- Through Pyre’s eyes ---

“It’s a beautiful house, don’t you think?” Pyre asked Conan.

“I’m glad you like it,” said Richard.

“I’m planning to move in the neighborhood, with my child, Conan-chan,” Pyre lied.

“Are there any children here to play with?”, asked Conan?

“I don- I don’t know,” answered Richard.

“Don’t ask too many questions, Conan-chan,” ordered Pyre, with a smile.

“Okaayy,” said Conan.

It wasn’t a normal reaction, he definitely had something to hide.

--- Through Akakata’s eyes ---

We arrived at the basement, but it was completely empty. Haibara wasn’t here. We walked aroun and looked at the other rooms.

--- Through Pyre’s eyes ---

“Hello, can I get a glass of juice?” said Conan to Kirihara.

“Of course,” answered Kirihara.

“What’s in that bag,” asked Conan.

“A guitar,” the answer sounded irritated.

“May I see,” asked Conan.

“No,” answered Kirihara angry. “Drink your juice.”

“Be patient with my child, Kirihara-san,” said Pyre.

“It’s okay,” said Kirihara.

--- Through Misaki-chan’s eyes ---

Why does he sleep like that? It’s like he’s fighting a war. He must be dreaming, thought Misaki-chan.

--- Through Hano’s eyes ---

“I am Kid the Phantom Thief,” said the man.

"I thought you were dead," I asked.

"I am, this is a dream. I’ll tell you the truth about my real organization," said Kid the Phantom Thief

--- Through Akakata’s eyes ---

The basement again. We could not find anything anywhere, so we looked all over.

“Something doesn’t feel right here,” said Aeyra.

“Yeah, you are right,” answered Kudo. “This room is too small.”

“More precisely 25 meters too short,” said Aerya.

“A secret room?” I asked. “Ohohohohohohoho”

“Yeah, probably,” answered Aerya, clearly irritated with her laughing friend.

“Then we should look into this,” said Kudo, and begun the examination.

--- Through Pyre’s eyes ---

“Well, I’ll have to leave now,” said Kirihara, and walked away.

“Thanks for the juice,” answered Conan-kun.

“Let’s get going,” I said.

They entered a big rounded room. It was lit up by a chandelier and a lot of candles. There were many books in the room, and a big circular desk in the middle. There was a staircase to some sort of balcony, which followed the wall of the room. In the middle was Richard sitting behind three computers, doing something. We were about to walk towards Richard when someone entered the room. We quickly hid ourselves.

“Hello Cola,” said Richard and continued, “What’s the matter”.

“Those visitors have been sneaking around in the basement. I’m afraid they have a hunch about our secrets,” said Cola.

I looked at the man called Cola and realized it was in fact Harry.

“Well, just kill them all,” answered Richard. “They are just a bother

anyway.”

When I heard those words I felt my heart beat faster once again. Was it over now? I took my gun slowly and prepared for the worst.

Oi, where am I?

It's hard to add people in the middle of a story, don't berate him! He's got enough going on as it is. *sigh* Nice, Hano. It feels somewhat... choppy though. Hard to pay attention to. (at least when my brother's blowing a saxophone in my ear....dry.gif)
