KOREAN CLASSROOM:

INTRODUCTION:

Korean is a language spoken by Koreans (duh). It has a structure not unlike English, with consonants and vowels. Like English, how you use characters can change the meaning of a word.

It is also fairly complex, and has a few exceptions to the rules.

BANNER:

Sorry, I don't have the motivation to make a banner for this classroom. :P

NOTE:

I am considering posting my lessons on Kaoko's forum...icon_e_biggrin.gif

HOW THIS WILL WORK:

Anyway, first lesson is ㄱ [g]. I will go in like: ㄱ, ㄴ, ㄷ, ㄹ, ㅂ, ㅁ, ㅅ, ㅈ, ㅊ, ㅋ, ㅍ, ㅎ, and then onto the vowels, which will be taught like this: ㅏ, ㅑ, ㅓ, ㅕ, ㅗ, ㅛ, ㅡ,ㅣ , ㅐ, ㅔ, and then more complicated vowels like ㅘ, ㅙ, ㅢ.

Unlike Kaoko, I will NOT give you homework, but I will suggest that you practice. I may give quizzes...ohohoho...

LESSONS:

1)

2) ㄴ

3) ㄷ

4) ㄹ

18) ㅗ

19) ㅛ

26) ㅙ

27) ㅢ

28) ㅚ

30) ㄲ, ㄸ

31) Second consonant introduction

annyeong...!!

wow,Moho-san...Korean,huh??can i join??

Sure.

LESSON 1: ㄱ

%E3%84%B1-bw.png

ㄱ is one of the Korean consonants, and is pronounced with a hard g sound, i.e as in God or guard.

ㄱ is written with two strokes.

1) Starting from the left, a stroke is made to the right.

2) Continuing at the end of the first stroke, another stroke is made down.

*shown above*

Examples of words with ㄱ:

고 [goh] - means go. No, seriously, it means go, as in GO! Not the game. Loanword from English.

강아지 [gahng ah jee] - means dog.

경찰차 [gyung chahl chah] - police car.

경찰서 [gyung chahl suh] - police station/department.

*more examples to come*

If you wish, you may practice writing ㄱ.

Want me to clarify anything? Just say so.

NEXT LESSON: ㄴ

I'm a fan of Dae jang geum, if you want people to be interested in Korean language, and joining, you need to make them watch this drama... my cousin is a huge fan of it, after she watched Dae jang geum, she started studding Korean language, and cooking Korean food... everything Korean... this is for girls, as for boys I'm not sure :P ...

Lol Korean. It's easy when you get used to it.

I know the Grammar is similar to Japanese so this would be easy if you know Japanese.

The hard part is the spacing and consonant+vowel combination.

I get it now.... I think I'm interested in Korean. I've been listening to K-pop recently and it would help for me to understand just a little. :P

Ne,

is this right:민에,당신은예쁜(min-e,dangshineun yeppeun)or it should be(yeppeun dangshineun)?

Is 민에 a name? 예쁜 is an adjective. To make it a verb, do this:

민에, 당신은예

Hope this helped!
