  1. The biggest flaw in DC is how Mouri Kogoro doesn't suspect Conan at all. Yeah, he did once, but after that he never did again. It's too obvious for Kogoro that the one who makes him sleep is Conan. He even struck him once with a stun gun in the hands face to face. You may say that Kogoro is an idiot but even an idiot can't be fooled by that.

I'm pretty sure it's really for the sake of the plot and nothing else but if it's not for that, he had probably been caught around 700 episodes ago :P

Is it that obvious? For one, I distinctly recall that Conan prefers to fire outside his line of vision. Two, I doubt Kogoro would have much recollection of the events as the sleeping agent enters his system. Three, Kogoro has a lazy train of thought, and probably that wouldn't come to mind. I dunno. It does reek of too much divine status quo.

  2. 3, perchance?

    I should guess again... umm... 2 ><

Yup. Bench my own body weight? That's crazy.

    1) I have not particularly liked a single anime series I have recently watched (for the record, there are three: Baka and Test, No Game No Life, and Black Bullet).

    2) I am a fan of The Big Bang Theory (the show, not the actual theory).

    3) My hair has never grown past my shoulders.

  3. 3. You'll be cutting your hair unless you want to be Rapunzel.

Btw ... your statements are way to hard... I can't even get hard ones but always put up obvious things XD
So... I think it is 3....

    Nyet. The lie is 1.

    1) I have a weak body in that I get sick and injured easily.

    2) My maximum bench press is about my own body weight.

    3) I prefer songs that are treble-heavy, or top-heavy (meaning songs that focus on the higher parts).

  4. ...I hope 1 is true, otherwise you're going to have a very painful and arid life experience. 3 seems like too much of a trap. I guess 2 as the lie.

I'd say number 2 is the lie, because you said something about learning German in the past, so I gust guess your statement above could be right... and furthermore, who is not an avid fan of H. P. Lovecraft? :D So I say it's number 2 by process of elimination.

The language I learned first after my initial languages was Spanish. The lie is 1.

    1) If you took all the characters in my Korean name and read it in Chinese (Korean names are written in traditional Chinese characters), the result would be pure gibberish (as in, no discernible meaning).

    2) I have had a near-death experience.

    3) I was never religious.

  5. I love ConRan but to think that Conan fools Ran for 20 years :3...oh dear :D.... We, the ShinRan fans are obviously waiting for Conan to reveal his true identity to Ran but god -_-...its been 20 years!and to think that Ran let herself be fooled by a 4 eyed-glasses kid?!it's pretty obvious that Conan have the same characteristics as Shinichi and for a 1st grader kid how impossible it is to solve a crime and wander around at a crime scene and the way Conan reacts whenever Ran mentions "Shinichi" and the way he protects Ran to the point that he's willing to sacrifice his life for Ran.....ohw and he's so smart for a 1st grader :3(come on Ran it's pretty obvious :3)

I always thought about it this way: it's easier to assume the improbable rather than the impossible. It's much easier to assume that Conan just happens to be extremely attuned to mysteries and also just happens to be extremely intelligent for his age, as well as wave off characteristics that are reminiscent of Shinichi as coincidence. After all, the alternative, that Shinichi was somehow shrunk into a child is outright impossible, and requires a few assumptions that are very difficult to assume (that there happens to be a drug that shrinks people, for one). It seems obvious to us because we are aware of things that Ran is not. It's dramatic irony.

  6. My German has faded away after years of neglect, and my Swedish (or Finnish) never existed to begin with. Would English be a preferable mode of communication?

Welcome to DCW! I'm Mohorovicic, as you can see on the left – it's a bit of a handful to type so people prefer either Moho or Mark (my actual name). From what I've seen already, you have some good ideas and seem to be pretty sharp. I look forward to (possibly) debating with you in the near future.

  7. People need to take as many classes as they can stand. While there is almost no doubt that most of the information learned in those classes will be lost, that's not the point – the goal is the development that results from the pursuit of knowledge. As one expands their own knowledge, they tend to expand into other subjects, eventually hitting on a few particular points that motivate them much more than others. Exploring many fields also develops critical thinking faculties, and makes the individual more well-rounded.

Sure, school isn't the only place where this can happen, but it's one of the best and most frequent places.
