Grim? the series kinda dropped that pretense pretty early.

By 'otherwise-grim', I meant it would've been. TBH, I wished that they at least kept some of the more serious elements instead of turning it into a full-on comedy. i can somewhat sympathize with you on bakemonogatari, since it's not a series that everyone can get into it (i really liked it). madoka gets really good after the initial setup, though; i highly advise you watch the whole thing.

Since it's only 12 episodes, I will definitely try and bring myself to do that. College apps will have to come first though, but I'll see what I can manage.
