I agree that guns shouldn't just be handed out, but people with no criminal record or psychological problems shouldn't suffer the loss of everything good guns stand for just because some people can't respect a firearm enough to honor it and end up using it to satiate their bloodlust. who obey the law would lose the constitutional right to arms, leaving them at the mercy of the black marketeers and criminals who don't care whether it's illegal and continue to misuse firearms. Prohibition didn't work because it only brought out the worst in the black market and caused rebellion amongst the people. Guns should not be outlawed.
