Well, it's really difficult to know what the goal is, since there are many statements about it and they're not explained, not to mention it's very confusing because they contradict each other, Gosho said it's not immortality, but Shiho's name was in the guestbook of people who want immortality on the mermaid island, and I remember Gosho said in one interview that it is foreshadowing something, then there is the whole program thing, and the revival of dead people, but Haibara said that the purpose of the drug is something most people wont care about and it isn't important, if we assume Silver Bullet is Aptx4869 or a previous version of it, then Elena called it a dream drug, and a terrifying drug, I honestly think that whatever the goal of both the drug and program development is only a step for the Boss's goal, which means it's not the goal, but rather a way to achieve the goal.

also this itakura-vermouth-program is getting a really slow progress
The older the more experienced which is nice, as for the Itakura program, slow doesn't even begin to describe it, in the past 500 chapters or so the only thing we got was that he had a bad relationship with Sharon which didn't really give us anything. Hopefully in this arc we'll get more info on that program, and the disc that Haibara has, also why doesn't Conan tell the FBI about the program?

Like seriously, imagine if the boss was like: Hey, this is our new member who's very young, I know, let's ignore Gin, who's like the most loyal member in the organization and has a lot of experience and get's the job done most of the time and make her the second in command instead of him. That's how it would be if She is RUM, that's why it doesn't make any sense and I would be pissed if it is like that, I would prefer if RUM is an old member, in fact a member who knew the boss before the organization was made and was one of the first members.
The domineering woman who speaks like a queen (probably Vermouth) and the cat. (Volumes 37 and 39.) (Confirmed Vermouth from the Bell Tree express chapters, but not where she was that a cat would be around. )
Why Sharon and Itakura had a bad relationship. (Volume 78.)
These 2 things(The Cat and The bad relationship) I don't understand the meanings of them, I don't get what they add to the plot, like, what does Gosho want to tell us by giving us these 2 pieces of information?

Probably the most likely scenario. I'm sure Gosho has changed quite a bit as he's progressed through the story. I won't believe for a moment that he had everything meticulously planned.
I do think there was a boss though, but it probably was changed if one was present in the early stages of the manga.
At this point, everyone might as well be a suspect
As a matter of fact, at the start he planned for Vermouth to be Yoko. So it might be the same for the boss.

Gosho said that he didnt expect the series to last longer than 13 chapters... so i think that he didnt plan a complicated story containing a boss....he maybe wrote that shinichi returns to his regular life....so dont you think that a complicated plot like an organization with a boss and alot of workers and snipers and etc. Will fit 13 chapters only??.......
I think that gosho made an ending to conan at first and then he changed it....and i think that gosho developes the story as conan lasts longer like making a fake death to akai and then bringing sera to the story and the BO snipers...etc
So i think that gosho may have hinted something in the beginning of the story and then developed it....
I've been thinking that as well, no matter how many times I read the first few volumes there is just nothing in there with even the slightest hint, so either Gosho changed who the boss is, or there was no boss to begin with.

Has long hair(female part), is a male with masculine features and in his detective Samonji shows that he has a cut on his left eye, the old man part i am not very sure.
Since that's only in a detective show, Why would it have anything to do with the BO, not to mention that we need an artificial eye, not just a cut or a scar.
It's weird how even though we have 4 characteristics of RUM that should be fairy obvious, we can't find him, I think it's time to check previous cases' suspects and see their personalities and background, although it would take a lot of time.

I know that my guess doesn't have much proof, but as I said, Date just was mentioned in one case and we only know he was Amuro's friend, so it's too early to make assumptions as we have practically no hints to say certainly how they two met. It's just my guess.
Thanks Serinox for reminding me that! However it's a bit strange that the killer decided to write the word EYE on a wall because she was killing for revenge or using optical illusions. I mean, why would the killer need to write that word when Kazuha visited the house with her friends?
I'm not saying it wasn't related to the case, just that it's kind of weird. Like when Subaru was the red (akai) guy, and now we know that it might have been a hint from Gosho. Perhaps this time was one as well.
And about this happening REALLY early, I know about it. I mentioned it in my post when I said "She was introduced a long time ago, even before the Mystery Train". It's hard to believe Rum appeared so early, but we can't be sure Gosho hadn't thought about Rum when this case was released. I mean, how much time happened between the introduction on the tapes left for Shiho from Elena and Silver Bullet's first mention? In the anime, around 400 episodes, so I guess it was like 600 chapters in the manga. Between Sakurako's introduction and Rum's first mention, 3 years more or less passed. Sure, it's not very probable, but it's not impossible.
By the way, we know from Gosho that Yamato and Kuroda, so far the only two Rum suspects, aren't Rum. Which other recurring or seemingly important characters have appeared before file 906? (I mean, the ones that have a possibility of being Rum, the more or less recent ones. Of course I'm not going to consider all the manga up to file 906 and old characters like Eisuke or Azusa)
Shogi player Chikara Katsumata, the unknown child, bartender Yuzuki Fukui, Shuukichi Haneda, Hikaru Hinohara, Date, Sakurako, Minerva, Apollo and Naeko Miike. These are the ones that appeared in the 15 volumes before Rum's first mention, if I'm not mistaken. Some of them aren't recurring characters but they got a keyhole so I wrote their names just in case. We could also consider Matsumoto, a popular bet, also taking into account the fact that he has been replaced by Kuroda, so something important might happen with Matsumoto now. If Rum has already appeared, I think he/she has appeared at least twice. I don't think the unknown child is Rum, and I also doubt Shuukichi could be Rum as he's been hinted to be the Akai middle brother.
However, Sakurako being Rum is just my guess, I won't try to convince anybody that I'm right. It's just my prediction. I just saw Sakurako appearing for the third time in that blog case and I thought "If Gosho makes her appear for the third time now, she may be an important character". The most important character I could think of in that moment was Rum.
I would really be pissed if Sakurako is RUM, whether it makes sense or not, I just don't like the idea. As a matter of fact, to me at least, it's highly unlikely for her to be RUM, she's too young, 23, and that is really her true age since 2 other characters know her form childhood, and I think RUM, the second in command in the Black Organization, should be old, I just don't see the boss trusting a new member younger than most other members with the second in command rank.

I think you are quite right, but what I remember watching on the TV in Arabic dub was slightly different from the real story. Plus, some of the episodes weren't even aired on it.

Yup, the Arabic dub is really horrible, it changes a lot of things, and many of them are important plot clues, and there are many contradictions later in the story. I had to re-watch all the plot-related episodes to understand everything.

That's why she should be the mother, the middle brother does not look like Akai and Sera since he looks like their father while the other 2 look like their mother.

I dont know much about Sera but my opinion is:
After Akai faked his death he went to his brother to take his identity((very kind brother)
) and they came to the idea that shuichi takes his brother identity and his brother shrinks somehow (maybe cuz he couldnt disguise) with aptx or another drug (i read a theory says that Elina Miyano and Sera mother knew each other before so maybe they knew how to make aptx or silver bullet)or simply with any other shrinker ,,,, and disguises as a female because maybe his look was known ..... and he lives with Sera until Shuichi is finished from whatever he wants........I say i dont know much but this theory may be true
That theory is very unlikely, especially with the hints we have right now, if you want to know the most likely theory, read the previous posts on this page, but the main point is, Shuukichi Haneda(Yumi's ex-boyfriend) is the middle brother, and the unknown child is Sera's mother.

Both of them, I want a brand new style, I'm getting tired of just the same thing all over again: A more powerful evil guy, a new transformation, etc.
Maybe if they continue with the whole multiple universes thing that might be interesting, and I hope the dragonballs get destroyed or something, I want at least 1 character to die for real, but from dbz, that's too much to ask for I guess.

Well, I don't know how to feel about the new series, it all depends on the first few episodes, if it continues to be just typical Dbz, I won't really be excited about it but I guess I'll just watch it, I really hope they will change the style a little bit, although I doubt it will happen.

why suddenly superintendent matsumoto kiyonaga was replaced by kuroda hoyue?he also have the high rank in the police department right?
matsumoto left eye already been damaged by the 'let it be' whistling guy and now the eye can be open nicely maybe because its an artificial eye..yep i know it never been mentioned before but gosho said RUM already appeared somewhere before right?he's bulky,old, the feminine part i couldnt find from him..

I honestly doubt it, his eye doesn't look artificial, since Gosho has his way of showing artificial eyes, and we know that he will be there in his daughter's wedding years after the series ends, I doubt he'd be released from prison after just a few years, the fact that Gosho told us that fact means that he never planned for Matsumoto to be a member of the organization.

I posted a picture of Kuroda looking at Conan. Sherry appears afraid. That's all. Unless.. you think that's someone in disguise... You gotta check the Spoiler Manga thingy Thread about the latest chapters. Also.. someone in the spoilers.. translated the last page of this chapter, if it wasn't translated already. Based on Kuroda's introduction to Conan, he knows a lot that Conan is the Wisdom Pearl of the Sleeping Kurry. Perhaps he knows more, it's not known.
I know that already, I just think it's way too simple to assume that he is RUM because of that, Haibara being scared doesn't mean it's her BO sense, she might be scared because he looks scary and might be RUM, if it was her BO sense, she would tell Conan obviously and the whole thing will be clear and Conan will tell the FBI that Kuroda is probably RUM or something, besides Gosho said that RUM has appeared before, and that was before file 906, Kuroda appeared at file 913, unless Gosho is just trolling us with that statement or Kuroda appeared sometime before in disguise then Kuroda being RUM is not happening, besides it would be way too obvious and we know Gohso's style.

Lol, it's fine. I didn't mean to sound scary, it's good to ask questions without being caught up with everything! (DC is way too long, so it is understandable)
The mystery ending girl was a much bigger deal when the ending was new, it gave many people who don't read the manga (and wouldn't know the character was invented by the anime people) the wrong idea. Theories about this character propagated around on youtube, tumblr, and a few other places. It is certainly true the anime sometimes spoils new characters, but that is usually in the openings. Sometimes people edit the wiki pages here without doing any fact checking, and that is what drives me bonkers.
It is a nice ending though, I like the fact it does have a story to it.
I agree, it's one of my favorite endings.

So I think I saw on a postcard that it said Kaito Kid may or may not show up in the final showdown with the black organization.
I really liked how Kaito Kid was the "special guest" on team conan during jet black mystery train. (ahem spoiler) He came up really clutch at the very end after being hidden the whole time, which is fairly impressive that bourbon and vermouth couldn't even deduce who Kaito Kid was. Maybe they didn't get the information telling them that Kid would be on the train? Idk they are the Black Organization though, so I doubt they would miss that piece of intelligence.
Anyways, do you guys want Kaito Kid to play a role during the final showdown or just have it be team conan + fbi vs black organization?
I personally would love to see Heiji and Kaito both play a role during the chaos. What do you guys think?
I just want to point out, I'm pretty sure that the special guest that Yukiko talked about was Subaru-san, since non of them knew who Kaito Kid was until Conan figured it out, anyway, I honestly don't think Kaito Kid is going to be involved with the BO, and I don't want it, and he himself doesn't want it as he stated in the mystery train case.

I think the unknown child is most likely related to Sera, possibly her mother who was a victim of the black organisations drug from a long time ago (since she is mature and intelligent and reminds me a bit of Haibara <3). Also at the end of one of the episodes she seemed sick because she was coughing. This made me think that maybe after a long period of time from being affected by the apox drug, the victim gets sick and possibly close to death if not cured with a full proof antidote. Sera is so interested in Conan and Haibara because they are as you could say 'fresh' victims. The unknown child also said she doesn't trust Conan yet, so obviously she is waiting to see if he's trustworthy enough to help her and tell him important information she may know about the organization... welp im probably completely wrong but whatever, just thought i might throw out what my theory was. I REALLY WANT TO KNOW THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN SERA, SHINICHI, AND RAN

Possibly the only useful things we could gather is that: Eventually, it will be told how Shuichi joined the FBI, there has NOT been a new boss, and that Conan may well go beyond 100 volumes (he may have been kidding;at least I hope he was). Also, Heiji may not participate in the final confrontation and I believe when Eisuke returns, things will start to get interesting.
Yay, we'll get a full Akai flashback(hopefully), I actually expected that we'll get to know how he joined the FBI, I'm hyped now.

Well, I think that the BO has members in entertainment to earn a lot of money, and they may have other benefits as well, as for the RUM confusion, I already explained what I think of it in the RUM thread.
When it comes to Scotch, it might be that Akai knew that he was a spy and told the BO about him, that would explain why Rei hates Akai a lot, but I honestly doubt Akai would do something like that, but who knows, it might as well be like Uncle Sporkums said and that Shuichi was forced to kill him.
