  1. Regarding Gintama, it actually starts at episode 3, episode 1 and 2 are filler for celebrating the manga getting an anime adaptation. Anyway, if you don't like comedy, then I don't think Gintama is for you, it's mainly episodic as well, however, don't think that Gintama doesn't have a plot, it does, and it's very subtly hinted at from the very beginning, and it's amazing, and even though Gintama is mainly a comedy series, it can get serious, like, really serious, the SA arc(episodes 300-307) is one of the best arcs of all time, because of how much everything in the series has built up for it. Even in the comedy episodes/arcs, Gintama can give you amazing life lessons.
This basically describes what is so special about Gintama: http://you-saved-more-than-my-life.tumblr.com/post/146013755643/gintama-30-day-challenge

It'd be nice to see this series extend another season, and go say, 50 episodes if need be. I'd be pretty welcoming of that, and so far, it doesn't seem to really rush anything.

It will end on episode 25 according to MAL, but I'm sure it'll get a S2, since from what I've heard, the novel is quite long.

  3. As far as spring season is concerned, my favorites(not counting Boku No Hero or JoJo because I already read the manga for those) were Sakamoto Desu Ga? And Kiznaiver. I didn't enjoy Re:Zero that much, and I still think it's a bit overrated, but the last 2 episodes were really good so it's in the middle. The ones I was disappointed in were Joker Game, Stray Dogs, Kabaneri and Mayoiga. When it comes to summer season, so far I liked Orange's first episode, though I'll have to wait to make a judgement, ReLIFE was very enjoyable, Tales of Zestiria The X's first episode(or the prologue) looked so good visually, probably the best I've ever seen, but as far as the story goes, I'm not all that into it. Berserk is something I don't want to talk about.

  4. Anime: Gintama.

Genre: Everything, well, the main genre is comedy.

PlotTwenty years ago, Edo-period Japan suffered a great cultural shock—the aliens called Amanto invaded the Earth, overpowered the nation's government, and outlawed the carrying of swords by the once proud samurai. Moreover, the aliens took the people's jobs and are currently running Japan as a sweatshop using the natives as laborers. In this strange new era are Gintoki Sakata, an eccentric samurai whose personal trademarks are his naturally permed silver hair, his love of anything sweet, and his addiction to Shonen Jump; Shinpachi Shimura, the teenaged heir of the Kakido-Ryu style; and Kagura, an incredibly strong alien girl from the powerful Yato clan. The trio are self-employed in an odd jobs shop called Yoruzuya Gin-chan, which offers to do almost anything for a price, from finding lost kittens to saving the world. Unfortunately, the jobs rarely go as planned, or pay enough to cover the pain and suffering the employees encounter—never mind their rent.

Why I like it: Every character is unique and hilarious, the comedy is pure gold, but that's not just what makes Gintama good, at first glance Gintama might seem like just a simple parody series, but it has it's own plot, and trust me, when Gintama is serious, it's really serious, the serious arcs are some of the best arcs I've ever seen. The amount of foreshadowing is insane, stuff that are revealed hundreds of episodes later might be actually mentioned in the early parts as jokes or really subtle lines. I love how Gintama can switch genres without it feeling weird.

    Rating: 5/5.

  5. I think we still need a segue case inbetween

With Clash we had the Kusada Rikumichi incident which revealed the location of Kir and gave reason for Gin to come out

With Silent Clash we had the previous appearance of Scar Akai, which Vodka saw on tv and gave reason for Gin to come out

With Mystery Train we had the that Cabin Trap case where all the Bourbon suspects saw a video of Shiho, which got back to Gin ...ect

With Scarlet Arc we had several cases in a line where Bourbon was getting more and more info from Clash to lead in

so I think we need something else that would actually give reason for the BO to make a big more public move

for example since we also have postcards about Masumi and MG coming back to the manga soon, I think they might appear first

and do something that will eventually get back to the BO somehow.

    Makes sense.

  6. I just thought of an interesting theory. The one feature of Rum that we can almost fully confirm is his/her artificial eye. Perhaps it was during Asaca's struggle with Kohji that Asaca lost an eye? After all, Haneda was holding scissors in his palm, what if he used those scissors to cut his/her eye? That would also explain why the tap water was left on, as Asaca wanted to remove the blood stains, and it would also explain why the room was in such a messy state as Asaca was too concerned with their eye being injured to take care of the scene. However, one thing I am unable to explain is why Amanda's room was in a similar state too.

I think it's a pretty neat theory, too bad we don't have enough information to back it up.

  7. Oh I see, That would explain Asaka's disappearance until today. Do you have any theories regarding what Akai said about how the case affected his father? Would that simply be because of his step-brother Kyoji's death?.

Well, unless the Akai and Haneda families were connected since a long time, I don't think it was because of that, Shukichi changed his name after high-school, around 10 years ago, while Koji died 17 years ago, so I think it was more about Amanda, since she's an important person, and then maybe that was what made Shukichi be adopted to their family, aside from that, I can't think of anything else.
