    Kenzi's Art Thread

It's Thanksgiving Break where I live, so I finally got the opportunity to finish some banner I was working on for a while: If there are any suggestions you would like to make (fonts, color scheme, arrangement, etc.), feel free to insert them here. This is only one type of style I enjoy working with, so I'll probably showcase some others later. I make a variety of stuff like banners (or signatures for DCW), avatars/icons, wallpapers, etc., so if you have anything you would like to see, ask away! Brownie points to whoever can guess the DC openings this banner was inspired by, haha. >> next art post >> << previous art post <<

    Deduction Showdown

I've lived in areas where apartments looked like houses. Since you obviously can't park a car in a stacked apartment lol (unless it's for showcasing), he's probably referring to the house-like apartments. Either that, or it's another fluke.

    Deduction Showdown

I would assume that it's just a fluke and/or arbitrary information that doesn't contribute much to the case.

    Crunchyroll to simulcast DC

Crunchyroll only subs the episodes. The OVAs/Specials/Movies are likely to be taken care of by fan-subbers like the Moonlighters.

    Favourite Detective Conan Song

I have a lot that of DC songs that I like, so the following list is only a few that I happen to enjoy (no particular order): Haru Uta- Ending to the Eleventh Striker (movie 16) Kimi Ga Ireba- I'm actually not sure where this came from...anyone here know where this specific version is played? Boku Ga Iru- This one I'm fairly certain Conan is the one singing it, but I can't remember where...anyone know? haha.. Hello Mr. My Yesterday- ED 35 Don't Wanna Lie- OP 31 Winter Bells- OP 10 ...and basically everything from Garnet Crow especially this long forgotten piece: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bgPhO48sCyU it's a shame it only had a short run.

    FOUND OUT!

... What? O.o It's some conditioning drill that some tennis coaches use. Rule of thumb: the bigger the number, the more painful/longer-lasting the suicides tend to be.

Post your top 5 Animes (and why)!

No particular order, I love them all the same. Steins;Gate- Hands down. Art may not have been stellar, but everything else it had to offer completely makes up for it. Nichijou- The show is basically a huge exaggerated metaphor for life. The humor is so unique it's hard not to smile while watching it. ATLA/LOK- They don't really count as anime, but after rewatching a few episodes, it's actually a lot deeper than most make them out to be. FMAB- It may have been long forgotten, but it's still a classic. Detective Conan- This is only based on my bias since it's been in my life for a while. Aside from all the fillers, the show is actually decent.

    Depression Club

Most of the people I've seen depressed tend to hide everything and do everything in their power not to consult anyone.

    What's on Your Mind?

I was lucky that one of the sports I loved playing was a competitive sport in high school. Otherwise, I'd just be another generic person taking track just to fill up a sports cred. Whether or not a school "takes your life away" also depends on the classes you take.

    Depression Club

    well that escalated quickly

    What's on Your Mind?

I also had plenty of extra-curriculars. Also, make sure you play some sports beforehand so you have an opportunity to compete for spots in high school. I never really liked MathCounts, not sure why.

    Depression Club

Not necessarily. It depends on what the drug is "curing." That's like saying chemistry isn't math.

    What's on Your Mind?

It's actually not that bad. I took around 3-4 events and had to meet up weekly for all of them. As long as you're doing events that fit your interests, it shouldn't be a huge chore. In high school, it's all self-study. No one meets up for them.

    Depression Club

It's usually to trick the patient into believing that the drug is working.

    What's on Your Mind?

SciO is time consuming but no one is forcing you to compete in Write it do it. Unless you want to be an architect or something, then go for it.

    Depression Club

I'm sure these doctors are well aware of the effects of the drug. Sometimes, the drug may have not benefit at all, but this is what we call the placebo effect. There have been scientific studies showing that the mindset the person has towards his/her problem is a major factor that determines whether he/she will recover or not. Hence, the placebo effect. ahahahaha like that's gonna stop them from repopulating. their sexuality should not concern you.

    Of course not, lol

    What's on Your Mind?

I think I was the builder. But my partner's handwriting was so sloppy and illegible that I gave up half-way. Needless to say, I did not choose this event the year after.

    What's on Your Mind?

It's a partner event where one partner describes a structure, while the other partner has to build it. Points go to how close the newly built structure is to the original.

    FOUND OUT!

Re-found out how painful four-court suicides are. My heart goes to the people who threw up doing eight-court suicides.
  22. Kenzi

    What's on Your Mind?

I think you'd be better off doing an event that actually fits your interests. One of my first events was Write it do it, and it was pretty painful. I'm not even sure how/why I chose it.

    What's on Your Mind?

What events are you planning to sign up for though?

    What's on Your Mind?

The middle school fractions tend not to be too competitive, so you should be fine as long as you actually prepare for them. There are a few exceptions though--our rival school being one of the more competitive schools. But the looks on their faces when we beat them in the overall placing was priceless.

    What's on Your Mind?

Ahhhhh! This was exactly me in 7th grade! *nods approvingly
