  1. um... okay? you should try private message, it's a lot simpler

  2. Yes, there's already a thread for this... and this thread has quickly gone off-topic locking
  3. I'm rather partial to "The Adventure of the Dying Detective", since that's the first one I was exposed to and I'm also enjoying the new series, even though it threw me for a loop that it was brought so far forward
  4. I'm a fan of Drama Crazy... I'm watching my tokusatsu series there too
  5. I liked how they fixed the goof they made in the first special, with Ran's shoes... When I saw that they were looping back to the anime again, I watched for it like a hawk
  6. There's a very cute x-mas case early on in the series - I think the episode number is 42... "The Karaoke Box Murder Case"
  7. I don't really understand your suggestion, but it seems like it's already taken care of....?
  8. It doesn't happen very often, which is good... but recently I've had two forum members send things through the report system which really belonged in the reported thread, or sent directly to the member who made the original post. This is not the purpose of the reporting system. The purpose of the reporting system is for members to blow the proverbial whistle on something the moderators may have missed. I hate to come down as a hard-ass on this, but I will start putting warnings on people's accounts if this gets out of hand. Thank you all for your continued interest in Detective Conan World.
  9. please do not abuse the reporting system. it is not here so that you can share with the moderators something that should really be posted directly into the thread. rather, it is here so that members can blow the proverbial whistle on other members who may be misbehaving.

also... please make sure your private messaging is turned on - I do not like making reprimands in public

  10. I'm personally looking forward to seeing Stephen Fry as Mycroft
  11. Please do not abuse the report system with questions that should be asked of the member who made the original post. I'm letting it slide this time, but I will increase your warn status if I see it again.

Also, I don't like public reprimands, so please make sure you private messaging is working.

    Thank you

  12. There's absolutely nothing wrong with watching it twice ... That being said, FUNimation does a respectable job on the translation, as long as you're watching it with subtitles and the original Japanese audio However... they did move the after-credits clip (at the end of the movie) to before the credits, which feels weird but is relatively inconsequential... One thing I wish they would have done was left the closing credits video intact
  13. I found one of them... "What gets on your nerves" This thread will now be locked
  14. I think there's already another thread like this
  15. DCTP said they put most of the series back up on their streaming page, so you could always try there
  16. thanks to anyone who came to hang out with us! if for whatever reason you missed the live stream, you can still support Child's Play by going directly to their website!
  17. reminder to everyone that this is happening tomorrow! come hang out with us (there's now a link on the cafe page, to take you to the streaming site we'll be using)
  18. That's also an awful lot of work you're expecting the viewer to do But you're right, English dubs of DC do tend to be a sensitive topic
  19. This becomes a touchy subject, and if nothing else falls squarely into the "no direct links" category In other words, so that we don't get into problems with official licensing, I'll ask that if you do decide to do it (don't want to squash people's creativity, after all), that none of the links are shared as a media tag or with the "http" prefix, since both of those options will put the video in direct link with our forums... in other words, a URL that begins "www" will be sufficient, and then people can copy and paste it into their browser
  20. I promise that I wasn't... I was just making the point that all the films people had mentioned so far were dramas
  21. And not every classic movie has to be a drama, just look at The Princess Bride
  22. As with all timeline issues in the Conan universe, don't hurt your brain too badly trying to get everything to match up nice and neat... it's not worth the struggle
  23. there are already several threads related to movie 15... so I'll be locking this one
  24. okay, now that I have your attention next weekend, starting at noon eastern time on Nov 5 and lasting 24 hours, the members of the KuroKiiro Cafe will be participating in a web-streamed gaming marathon to raise money for a great group called Child's Play. more information can be found here: http://www.kurokiiro.com/cafe/childsplay/ please tune in!
  25. XviD is standard definition, and H264 is high-def... usually with animation, on a relatively current computer, there shouldn't be a whole lot of difference (I usually get the XviD copy because I'm more concerned about storage space)
