That's perfectly fine, albeit I am not. A fanboy nor one of Shinichi/Shiho that is. I have many thoughts and opinions regarding that pairing, and although I have nothing against those all for it, it's just not my particular interest.

The best fanfics are the ones where Heiji and Haibara are portrayed well, honestly they seem sometimes the most difficult to pull off!
